Physically she is on stage, mentally, she is so somewhere else in the nowhere .. This is a true example of being fully into a performance. Thanks for existing !!
My friend who was there at the set still talks about it with extreme reverence. Suffice to say that it was his favorite set in Coachella history for him
This is, IMO, probably the best live Fever Ray video on UA-cam. The band had refined the production of their live set and the close-up shots give you a great sense of her profound intensity.
I believe that she's a channel for some very positive energy for the souls that can feel it! As you say, on one level she's aware but ultimately she is an individual as we all are. We find love and strength in our similarity to one another against the powers of darkness that are at large in the world outside of ourselves. Allow yourself to be touched by it, pass it on!
It's sad, but when I watch her and listen to her in this, I definitely see that she is experiencing anxiety and I do understand what she's been going through for many years. She looks absolutely frightened up there, and it causes her to not finish phrases in singing. It's odd to me that comments are suggesting that she was empowered and ruling the world, you can hear the power in her voice, but it's definitely held back. Another girl who experienced a lot of anxiety was the one with the Postmarks, I think it drove her to stop singing and she instead went on to become a pharmacist.
But when I hear her sing and her words are ALWAYS in sink with my heartbeats. She makes a home for my broken heart. Its like she is a Goddess beckoning me home.
pretty sure I was heard screaming during this and was standing close to whoever was filming it. Can't believe it was 10 years ago. Experience I will never forget.
I really appreciate a band who can perform their material as good live as it sounds on record. Nothing worse than going to see your favorite band and listening to them play some awful, sped-up version of a song that sounded great on the album.
Had tickets to see her in London a few years ago. Didn't go, for one reason or another (other people). So PLEASE COME BACK, FEVER RAY. (I'm not fond of The Knife)
I don't listen to Fever Ray for the technical proficiency of Karin's singing. She has a raw emotional intensity that I think comes through very well in this performance/video. I think the band sounds great too.
yeah, imagine putting all that work in only to have people flush it away by standing like mindless zombies in the crowd waving phones in the crowd to record the show rather than just enjoying the show. It really baffles me why people go to shows to stand with a hand in the air recording the show... not only that their device obstructs the view of some people behind them the whole show.
@@Wolfsheim23 The point is that it's GREAT that we get to see what it was like live, but the only things showing in the footage should be the performers and the audience WATCHING the performance, not standing there with their phones in their desperate for attention little hands.
The voice intonation is not perfect as in the album, and that's a pity, because the song itself is magic! For me: always better than singing in playback, overall performance is amazing for the atmosphere!
someone deleted my comment :( well i don't think she sounds good, NOT A GOOD SINGER here but i do love that fever ray album it's one of the best electronic albums ive ever heard.
@@eduardoluna8345 quiza por tener sonido misterioso da un poco de miedo pero la letra te hace pensar en la libertad, me imagino estar en un bosque cuando la escucho.
Are you kidding me? Are you the Truman Capote's 1st born? Karin can't even hold the tune and the band didn't even extend the courtesy to tune their instruments to her keyboards (or vice versa.)

If you read about her, you'd know that she was absolutely frightened up there. If you listen, you can hear the fear.
She knows how powerful she is...on one level she does, on another-she's just as mesmerized as we are
My friend who was there at the set still talks about it with extreme reverence. Suffice to say that it was his favorite set in Coachella history for him
I still talk about it, best set i ever saw at coachella

Fever Ray was a captivating performer. We need more like her, though she is totally unique.
Ring0fSaturn was????
Came for the spooky hand gestures. Was not disappointed.
I was there and this set literally blew my mind
Hey me too
Nope. Not literally
I will never forget this set. I feel so lucky to have been there
imagine being empowered to this degree and having a clear message that could actually change things.
I love how she uses her hands. Adds more power to the whole concept.

This song will stay with me forever. She sounds just like the songs from her album :D
I love her hand movements. Such a great album.
Once you realize she is a Scandinavian Shaman the performance takes on a whole new effect...suffice to say that is one of a religious experience.
brilliance is timeless

I only saw the 2018 tour which I am so thankful for, that was an amazing experience. Though I would’ve loved to see this tour too.
las cosas que hace esta chica es imprecionante ojala pudiera ver un show en vivo alguna vez

I don't need drugs to enjoy this. Just to enhance it!
Look how badass she is once she starts playing what I assume are the keyboards
They use effects to warp her voice, listen to the album version.
Have they come to the east coast of the United States before?
Wow
We need a new album please!!
She finally listened!

Like they did on the songs version in their 2uur performance
That's what click is for :)

Ya and you're probably getting a worse recording than one that will get uploaded to UA-cam by someone who brought an excellent camera and mic.

La canción es muy rara... Pero aún asi llega a gustar... Me da algo de miedo
Oliver Blades la canción no da para nada miedo, es bonita la letra
