Just found this one, and I thought I’d watched them all!!! I make earrings like this, but after doing the glitter and stamping when it’s all dry I put glossy accents over it, or clear embossing powder, both work out really well. A good one to do is using shrinkable paper, stamp your image, then colour it in with glitter pens, I use Sakura, but I’m sure any would do, after shrinking I put on glossy accents. It is best if you get the clear shrinkable as you can then do your design both sides. Hope this might help someone Huggles xxxAnnxxx
New to your channel,I thought I had seen them all lol,but I seem to find new and amazing artists everyday! I watched to the end btw,I loved your technique and you were great! So funny! Sorry I did have a question lol,I almost always scan in my paper books I buy then reprint the image, like dcwv the once upon a dream fairytales, but on many papers it has glitter effects on it,do you have any suggestions on how to recreate the glittery part of the picture? The scanner can't reproduce that effect unfortunately, but I can't stand stand cutting up a book that I may never find again,or find reasonably priced.. Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated 😁 Thank you so much for your wonderful ideas and PLEASE keep sharing your ideas ❤️🌿🌸🌿
LOVE THIS! The butterflies are absolutely gorgeous. I love the glitter! Thank you so much for sharing. AND you have a wonderful, bubbly personality. :-) This is going under my favorites.
Hey Lindsay- Love this cute idea!! I just tried this technique but even more frugally! I used The Best Glue Ever™ applied in a very thin layer (with a scrap of foam rubber) instead of the sticker sheet. It worked exactly the same--except way less expensive! Also, before coloring, I wiped the image with the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to remove any stray glitter that wasn't REALLY stuck down well and this worked great! Thanks for the idea!!
I just love your videos! You also make me laugh. I was determined to watch all your videos by the first day of fall but was unable too. (I started in May I think!) I will try to watch a little longer for the next few weeks as I really want to start making cards soon and you have been more help than you'll ever know. Bless you Lindsay!
Thank you for the video. Your technique is very nice, the color is beautiful, & your card is quite lovely! I really enjoyed it all, including your humor!! LOL Thank you for your time, interest in helping others like myself, & your generocity!! I have subscribed to your channel & will definitely be watching more of your videos Be blessed!! :)
I see the Memento ink used so much but I always use Stazon when I want a dye ink to not smear. Is there much difference in the two? Also, love the glitter and the scor tape, I do edges like that, using just a small thin strip of the tape and then glitter, so pretty. When I want the whole image glitzy like that I've always used versa mark to cover the whole surface and then emboss with a holographic or sparkle embossing powder. THat is real pretty also. Not quite as glitzy as the glitter but it is different and really quick and easy. .
+Lori McGarrity memento is waterbased and may smear if you watercolor on it, stazon is alcohol based and will not. Alcohol markers will smear stazon though but will not smear memento.
This is stunning! The butterflies look amazing on camera. Great tip using the release paper and using the bone folder and the sharpie vs the comic. Love Love Love this video, I'm so excited to try it! New subbie,, big thumbs up! ;)
Love this! My ladies at the AL will absolutely adore making Christmas ornament cards using this technique!!! Thank you so much for the idea. I'll look around and see if I can find any of these sheets locally, but may order from Amazon - Great video, lots of laughs XO
thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich I wonder if any of the other tapes out there would work...I think I"m going to shop around and perhaps find something with a coupon. Thanks again.
I tried this this morning with the back of a sticker!! (I need to get some scor-tape!) I don't think that it was sticky enough because the glitter started to come off completely as I added color, SO . . . I used my zig clean colors and then put glossy accents over it. The colors did spread and blend but the effect is really pretty, maybe fun for someone else to try :)
Shake it like a polaroid picture... lol Always come away with some good ideas from your videos. Don't have ScorTape sheets but I think I have some strip and could make some borders. That'd be cute! Thanks girly for all the work you put into your channel!
I am so glad that I found your UA-cam channel! I loved this video! Quick question: Did you use the copic markers to blend the sharpee marker? Or did you use the copic to blend copic? I was a little unclear there. THANKS!!
Still watching, LOL. Did not see how you adhered the butterfly to the paper square behind it and then that to the card itself. Did you use some kind of glue? Thanks.
+pfengwa44 sure, just leave the release paper on or you will have a mess:) I have use it in my manual and electronic, you might need to tape the edges down on the electyronic and use high pressure and depth.
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Could I glue it on for a background and then put a little card I die cut or a tag on top? Would I use Yes glue for this, or would it come through the fabric and show? What kind of glue should I use, please?
weirdly enough I prefered the first one that you did not like because it was not sparkly enough, any chance you could show us how you dd it ? actually i relistened and understand how you did it so no worries, i think what you were saying about the glitter was that the first glitter you used was not as glittery so that would be why its so different very nice :)
you are awesome, I am new at this. I used to paint in oils, but this is so much more fun. at 68 you deserve to have fun.
This view of 10 years ago was at the top of my UA-cam feed today! Fun to watch your videos, old or new!
Glad you like them!
I just found this and I’ve watched your videos for a few years now I think

Love using glossy accents I’m addicted to using it… I’ve just ordered 2 bottles lol
Still watching love your sense of humor. The project is lovely. Thank u 4 sharing 💓
Amazing work, indeed. I would like to know if I can draw the butterfly myself instead of using stamp?

you can add glitter glue but I would suggest you look for digital paper companies so you print off you paper as needed and never run out.
Hi....im just seeing this...i tried it with crafters companion double sided paper...i LOVE this technique...thank you so much!!!

OMG I loooove your sense of humour! I laughed so often while watching this. Have a great day :)
The commentary notes cracked me up! Lol! Love the technique. Thanks
Awesome technique. I love the card.
Absolutely stunning!! Always appreciate and love your work, tips and tutorials. ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing this fantastic work.
Love this. I know it's an old video but might try it if I get more white glitter
Love this idea. The math joke was cute and I'll have to share with my nephew.
Carol
You did a good job on this card. I am going to try this
I liked the stamp on top of the glitter and if there is color transfer, give a quick spray with matte fixative. It will seal it fine.
oh and by the way i just love love the card that you made with the butterfly thank you for the video
Looks so amazing, thx so muxh 4 sharing, love it!

Love this video Lindsay & I didn't know you've been on YT since at least 2012. No wonder you are such a pro. Have a great day.
Ashs Vision Lindsay is a pro because she has been an artist a long time, she also teaches kids arts and crafts. X

Linda DeChow one of these days I'm going to but a roll of the 2" wide score tape, I think it would be the best to have and no waste. Pricey though:(
thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich I wonder if any of the other tapes out there would work...I think I"m going to shop around and perhaps find something with a coupon. Thanks again.

Should I buy some Bics or Sharpies, or can I do this with water-based markers like Zigs or Aqua color markers?
+Deirdre Powers If you color before adding the adhesive and glitter you can use either kind, if you want to color on the glitter use sharpies.
Still watching! Great techique to try!
Hi I'm being watching your videos and u crack me up love your work ❤🙋
Thanks!
Shake it like a polaroid picture... lol Always come away with some good ideas from your videos. Don't have ScorTape sheets but I think I have some strip and could make some borders. That'd be cute! Thanks girly for all the work you put into your channel!
I loved your joke about the math book! 😄
I enjoyed this video Lindsay, I just found it:-) Joyce
is that a type of glitter or do you me crayon shavings? How do you mean?
it is a colorbox stylus and soft foam tips:)
Do you think it's possible to do this technique on metal? If so what do you think I should use to seal it?
would this work if done to let's say.... a trading card? basically adding the glitter with the adhesive and coloring with the sharpies.
+beyondthegraveXL sure:)
Great job, love your videos
I liked the card and I watched it till end.
that is the case, you can and it will be more dull...but still pretty!
one tip that i have discovered, (I'm sure i'm not the first) try burnishing the glitter with the release paper before you tap off the extra.
~Jill
love your videos!
I have some wedding photos on canvases that i would like to coat in clear glitter. What would you recommend?
+moomintrude1 hmmm, there are sprays that might be best so it does not distort the image
I am so glad that I found your UA-cam channel! I loved this video! Quick question:
Did you use the copic markers to blend the sharpee marker? Or did you use the copic to blend copic? I was a little unclear there. THANKS!!
Christy R you can do either:)
Thanks! !
that will work but the colors won't be as vivid, still pretty though! thanks for commenting!
When you did the background color on top, do you have to put something over it to keep the ink from getting on you hands when you handle the card?
+Deirdre Powers depends on the ink, it is a very small amount of ink that I think you will be fine though
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich thank you. I put some interesting info on your tutorial about your seahorse painting. Did you see it yet?
What did you use on the blending sponge for the background?
Still watching, LOL. Did not see how you adhered the butterfly to the paper square behind it and then that to the card itself. Did you use some kind of glue? Thanks.
Deirdre Powers probably double sided tape:)
i love your jokes so funny and so entertaining ...lol
have you tried crayola shavings?
i have a question... could you do the coloring first before you put down the scor tape or will it not be as bright?
Wocca wocca wocca!!! :P
Beautiful!
Beautiful . Thank you, again
great tip!
So Pretty! I made have to try this! :0)
Bellisima idea.
thanks for the tip!
have you tried stamping then colour then glitter?
Does scor tape work with a die cutting machine?
+pfengwa44 sure, just leave the release paper on or you will have a mess:) I have use it in my manual and electronic, you might need to tape the edges down on the electyronic and use high pressure and depth.
Thanks so much.
Talented
very nice
Good video thank you
wow i like it i love it
I don't know where to ask this: Can you use fabric in card making, or is this a silly idea?
+Deirdre Powers that is a wonderful idea!
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Can you ask your viewers if any of them would like to know how, and if some do, could you show us how to do that?
+Deirdre Powers you can cut flowers from fabric and add them to a card. TRy it:)
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Could I glue it on for a background and then put a little card I die cut or a tag on top? Would I use Yes glue for this, or would it come through the fabric and show? What kind of glue should I use, please?
Love this, tv's.
i think i 'd paint first and after that to put the glitter, but thanks for the tutorial
pourquoi avoir encré des motifs d oiseaux sur la breanche et des cages , si c est pour les cacher sous les carrés de papillons ?
keniułszołmistkury
yes im sorry i meant crayon shavings.
perfect joke dig it
