I remember watching stephen's original comedy central special years ago and feeling like my eyes had been open to a whole new world of comedy. I can remember nearly passing out hearing his songs for the first time laughing so damn hard! Bo burnham is great too, but I see stephen as the original genius.
The addition of the banjo and courtney does so much that I truly wish Lynch would try some serious music. Also, this fucking song stuck in my head for DAYS after I heard it. Always a sign of a well written song.
I've been a huge lynch fan for about 10 years now! i just saw them in february and may 3rd at the gramercy theatre in New York! I had meet and greet tickets for the show on may 3rd and i got to say hello to all of them and take pictures with them! They are really nice and were very social with us. I got to see them before the show with the sound check and during the show Lynch threw his guitar pick into the audience and was sitting front row and caught it!! They are my Yankees!
I saw Stephen and Co. at Foxwoods this past February. Courtney Jaye and Charlie King round out this musical comedy cavalcade fucking perfectly. Can't forget ol' Rod Cone either! XD
Not as funny as his old stuff but, the bluegrass style makes his music sound sooo much more beautiful. Keep it up Steve and COME DO A SHOW IN MISSOURI!!!!.
Sirius should be charged with criminal incompetence for subjecting such talented performers to that insanely small studio. I was embarrassed for the show that Stephen had to leave some of his equipment out in the hall because there wasn't enough room there.
It's too bad so few people seem to have watched this video and enjoyed the song, rather than either uncomfortably objectifying Courtney Jaye (a human person and respectable artist) or spewing misogynist comments about her and saying her tattoo is terrible. The song is just a lighthearted joke, not a platform for people to unhumorously call tattoos faggy or get upset about the use of a goddamn capo
Not sure if he Was ever really doing drugs or not, but all I can say is that when I finally got a chance to see him perform in Milwaukee a few years ago, he made us all laugh very much. I think he's one of the best in the business!
Is this a direct parody of Sufjan Steven's song Casimir Pulaski Day? If it's not, he completely ripped off Sufjan.. Listen if you don't believe me. I'm not trying to be a douche, I don't really know much of Mr. Lynch's music so if he does his own Weird Al kinda thing I'd understand but if he legit calls this song his own without without any referrence to Sufjan that's some pretty blatant plagiarism..
Kyle Anderson This in no way parodies the song you're referencing. Sure, there may be some similar strumming patterns. However, the tempo and chord progressions are completely different.
"Sir that's a cool tattoo" .. What a great , subtle line.
What's so good about it? Please explain
Stephen Lynch neeeds a netflix special :'

She is SO YOUNG there if that is Courtney.

Voice of an angel! The backup singer was good too.

I'm in love with the look she gives Lynch at 3:30
that was beautiful
what the fuck
No more time off Mr. lynch. We have missed your talented voice and this chick with you is an asset to your music.
She is fuckin beautiful.
thanks for the upload opieradio!
Thanks Opie. Good to see Stephen back in studio.
I love it. And if he chose to make non-comedic music in this style I would def listen to that and love it.
I'm so glad Stephen came back on the show.
I saw Stephen and Co. at Foxwoods this past February. Courtney Jaye and Charlie King round out this musical comedy cavalcade fucking perfectly. Can't forget ol' Rod Cone either! XD
That is a young Courtney??
I loved the Sunsetter Retractable Awning commercial in the background.
Not as funny as his old stuff but, the bluegrass style makes his music sound sooo much more beautiful. Keep it up Steve and COME DO A SHOW IN MISSOURI!!!!.
This is awesome.
He changed one word in lives now for sure. You all know the one!

Sirius should be charged with criminal incompetence for subjecting such talented performers to that insanely small studio. I was embarrassed for the show that Stephen had to leave some of his equipment out in the hall because there wasn't enough room there.
Saw them in Dallas, fucking great show.
As someone with all home tattoos I listen to this from time to time just to cheer myself up about the fact that most of have a queer (not gay) tattoo
Very funny!
that girl is adorable
I love how the girl is still reading off the paper during the "ba ba ba ba ba" part.
Ope, do you have a video of the one about the Phil Collins song? That was a great one too!
I forget were I first heard this, maybe the Cowhead Show?Freakin' hilarious!!!!
did stephen lynch open his eyes once the hole time?
If they release this as a single, the cover art needs to be a picture of Sal's elbow.
Well funny!
He was just making sure he could get a show reference in. It's always cool when someone does that, right?
Is that the studio they are in or someones Closet?
:56 of course thats Ants biggest laugh
I think that was Jimmy
That was Jim. Nice attempt at taking the comment section by storm. Lmao fail
@@dvda9725 There's no "think" about it. There's nothing to agree or disagree with. It's just the way it is
Ok, the riffs are slightly different than Sufjan's, but it's pretty sketchy how fucking similar they are..
Stupid Sam chuckles while filming, yet he has the signature of two grown men on his noodle arms.
Charlie is having lots of fun huh??
Who knew Marc Maron played the banjo?
I like his song grandfather die
Lady back-up singer HAS a queer tattoo.
Who is that on banjo? Mr Haveacookie?
Chrisell Charlie King
Too bad I can't make out half the fucking lyrics. Could you add the lyrics to the about section Op?
Courtney Jaye got to sing the best lyric in the entire song!!
really like her queer tattoo on her arm there.
Don't you think?
Think in same thing about that banjo player.
She should have left her sweater ON for that song.
Fuck, I know this is going to sound like the O&A hater voice thing, but.... This song is a few years old, I remember hearing it back in 2011.
petition to add my little pony tattoos to the list
HOBO CHUCK!👍
I agree with james they could do "real" music
beer.
geeze mr lynch looked like he aged!....still funny as fuck!
Stephen has an awesome voice but hers blows him out of the water. Its sounds like she's not even trying. #GirlsYouInstantlyFallinLoveWith
Who's the girl, she looks a lot like Skye from Agents Of Shield..
I believe her name is Courtney Jaye.
is that even stephan lynch?
Yeah that's him. Not all that bad for pushing 40.
Correction... he's 42.
hmm... cool (:
+Chuck H Correction, he's 44
Kellen Hunter-La Voy Well duh. It's been nearly two years since I commented here. Were you just trying to be funny or....?
#WhiteKnight
LOLZ
A little too ironic...and, yeah, I really do think...
Stephen Lynch looks like Trey Parker from South Park
Why??
Why not
What's truly ironic is that guy named charlie looks like Charles Manson.
i feel like she has experience with the 3:30 verse
He really needs to read the lyrics?
Her tattoo looks like a Fleshlight
Actually that's not even close to the definition of "ironic."
How can a person "sound physically attractive sir?
you are confusing a form with a content
A little too ironic?
she sounded hotter before I knew how she looked
stephen has gained a few lbs...still great tho

Günter Grauberger saw that one coming a mile away lol
:D
It had to be done, dude
Glad you got the joke
Please explain your argument, Kyle Stratton
Steven Duda Well said, Steven. Don't feed the trolls and maybe we'll get lucky and a few will starve to death.
Günter Grauberger I got the joke. Louis C.K. right?
does every band need a big bearded hipster on banjo now?
Its just "Tattoo"
Not enjoying the new Steven lynch I was s fan of talk to me dad and Craig machine I'm not digging this stuff
First
whos the brawd...
The American flag can also be a gay tattoo
....plus all his shit sounds the same.
Is it just me or is his new stuff really weak?
Andrew Reeves yeah its just you
Is he getting fatter?
older and maybe fatter
must have stopped doing drugs
Not sure if he Was ever really doing drugs or not, but all I can say is that when I finally got a chance to see him perform in Milwaukee a few years ago, he made us all laugh very much. I think he's one of the best in the business!
middle aged man in getting fatter shocker.
