Audi Q3 Review - Best in segment?

- We attended the international launch of this car in the middle of 2018 (see that video here • New Audi Q3 First Driv... ) and so it feels a bit odd to only be publishing our full review on local soil now.
However, the car was massively delayed in reaching South Africa and so the Audi Q3 is still fairly fresh on the scene. Importantly, it represents a strong rival in the segment and recently walked away with the Cars.co.za Consumer Award in the Crossover category at this year's ceremony (see the Awards Aftermovie here • The #CarsAwards Afterm... )
This segment of the market is becoming increasingly popular as motorists buy down from more expensive segments, tempted by lower price tags but increasingly feature-rich cars such as the Volvo XC40, BMW X1 and Jaguar E-Pace.

My wife and I have just been through this whole new SUV buying process; shortlisted the Q3 and X1, and ended up buying a far better specced and cheaper VW Tiguan R-Line.
Better looking too, imo. Good choice.

Concierge is the most stupid feature/gimmick ever, imagine calling someone up just to put something into your sat nav or asking about things near you.

Then you can’t help but wonder how much the coming RSQ3 is going to cost. Hence most people end up buying old sports cars at a certain price range.
To much money for a car in that segment. Very good looking though.
The Mercs had a similar tow hitch system. I remember releasing the tow hitch and it swung out and hit my shin. Ouch. Its was really painful.

When was the last time anyone paid Retail for a new car? Go and see you can take home a well specced S-Line for around the 600K mark. (2019's especially but demo ish mileage)
So it's averaging the same fuel consumption in the city that my 15 yr old 2.0T Astra averages. Wow so much progression.
How is this consumption and power the same as my 12yr old A3 fsi. I feel the engine should've been more powerful.

This is the price of cars now days peepz and its an Audi...
Most People don't buy brand new.
My friend has a Q3, spends more time at the dealer.
Gone back 10 times for fault with reverse camera.
It actually stops the car.
They say they have fixed the problem.
A week later it goes back.
It's brand new
What's happening to the background? Is it just me or does anyone else see this? It is blurred for some reason. Why? One of the reasons I watch these videos is the environment of South Africa. It is better than watching a video from gray England. The older videos of you guys driving in the mountain regions were awesome.
Even the VW Polo has a false floor that allows you to do that exact same thing to maximize boot space actually

That is quite expensive compared to Australia. I purchased the 35TFSI in launch edition for $56K drive away with all the features apart from a sunroof. So 675k Rand. You guys are getting jipped!

Sorry to bring this up but my German mentality requires me to criticize the fingerprints on the screen. Much better to use a wheel to navigate through the MMI.
9:52 ... not all cars. My Haval H6C Lux is MILES AHEAD of the Golf 7 I used to drive.
My Haval NEVER rolls, with and or without crawl mode.
but yes the VW / Audi brand does a far worse job on the Dual Clutch Transmission than Haval.
Haval nails the DCT / or DSG as VW calls it.
If the price for luxury isn’t worth it for you, just go for a Mahindra then.... it’s like going to Gucci and comparing their sneakers to pricing at sportscene

when i drive this car, wasn’t a quality suv had cheap and hard plastic to doors and a very laggy transmission

Ciro did you know that VW DSG Seven speed GTI GOLF Automatic dual clutch was the first car Audi only had the Multi - Tronic Automatic gear box which gave my Audi so many problems VW is still much better than Audi and more reliable i hate Audi!!!!
