Well to be fair Samsungs S pen wasn't really anything special lol it had poor latency and wasn't really a smart device and that's why it was free in the box 😂 and now they're selling the S pen pro sold separately 😙 don't hate on the apple pencil being sold separately 🙃
I personally think mi pad 5 is a banger for its price. With high specs and high storage just blew my mind. Im thinking of buying mi pad 5/Xiaomi pad 5.

Well for special features there isn't much. Mi notes are better than normal Samsung notes. Other than that buit in screen recorder, split screen, 120hz etc. Yes it's great for taking notes and using Microsoft notes, excel. If you are looking to buy it than go for it. It's out of stock in my country. I'm lucky I bought it early 😅
Just got this baby yesterday. The display is really pleasing to my eyes. Watching 4k Switzerland on YT and it was really nice 👍🏻 The brightness, saturation and contrast really better than many rivals with its unbeatable price. Software... So far so good. Better faith than Samsung. At least my Mi A3 still working great in my daughter's hand, no lag nor SUDDEN HANGED & RESTART issue. 🤞🏻
I would hope with the fact that the Mid Pad 5 sold out in like 10mins across Europe including the UK, Xiaomi might consider releasing the top spec version with the Snapdragon 870 here in the UK. One can only dream.....

Ended up buying the Samsung tab S6 lite earlier this year because there is so little choice. Don't get me wrong it's a nice enough tablet but the quad speaker set up on this one makes it very tempting.
Almost a year later and I've bought one! Even now the specs are fookin er... very good! And at the price you can currently find them for, it seems like a total no-brainer! If you need a tablet I guess...

I'm also considering buying this tablet. The only shortcoming is that there are fewer apps on Android that are re-designed to adapt to tablets than on iOS.
It's an endless loop, there is not enough good android tablet on the market so developer doesn't bother optimizing it. So that leads to fewer people buying android tablet because fewer apps for tablet.

In the Philippines , the Xiaomi Pen is free for the First 100 orders in an online app store. Luckily, I am one of them. Not just free pen but 60USD discount for the first 1000 customers. I just paid approximately 300 USD for the 128gb global variant together with the PEN!

Between this one and the ipad 9th gen which do you recommend more? They're around the same price, the same goes to the extras. The major differences I find is future proof (updates, or lack of updates), this one goes to the ipad. The style, this one goes to the xiaomi mi pad. And the similarly to a laptop, which I find the ipad os better.
One thing people do not consider while buying tablets is accessories. I have a samsung s7 plus and it has next to no third party accessories. So...make your decision after thinking about this aswell Oh and the software. There are quality of life gestures and UI elements in the iPad which make it feel like a tablet while an Android tablet feels like a normal phone on a bigger screen.
To be honest, when it comes tablets, iPads are way superior simply because apps are optimized for tablets on ipad os. Android apps look ugly on a tablet. They basically look like a blown up version of the phone app
That is currently only for the new phones, which is currently just the Mi 11T and 11T Pro. No news on whether the Pad 5 is going to be included though I certainly hope so.

Samsung tablet got its own selling point, S-pen stylus that comes free. I don’t know if Xiaomi pen can compete in this part in terms of drawing experience, the best styluses tablet can offer so far are Apple pencil and samsung’s S - pen.

So no headphone jack, or usb c wired adapter in the box? Any USB OTG flash drive support (OK probably yes) but an extra USB port and HDMI support would have been great. Don't get me wrong - I think it's a winner if I saw it will be around £350 - 390. Also Tech Spurt / Mr Barraclough is awesome, highly skilled and professional so no criticism at all.

@@pomerau you obviously dont undesatand that almost all android tablets do not and will not have several ports, an hdmi port. WHat they should have though is a charging port that may or may not double as a display port and a headphone jack, although every manufacturer removes the headphone jack each year. Bear in mind this device is also 399 euros. I dont think you can use a standard flash drive becuase the mi pad 5 like a normal tablet does not have a usb typee A port, it has a type c port. If you have a type c usb drive, then it'll probably work

A HDMI connection would be asking too much, perhaps, and I know a powered MHL adapter was needed in the past. However the Xiaomi 11T can dock with a monitor/ TV and that would have been nice. With Casting, if you have a wifi network available, it's moot but a direct connection would be useful for a hotel TV etc. My point was no ports were mentioned - and yes I have a two ended SanDisk 128GB drive with an A and C plug either end. USB C is not a problem, charging and also using wired headphones (old school) or a monitor connection would be preferable with another port. I don't know what connections the latest Samsung tablets have available, and this has better specs than a mid range Chromebook. Choices, choices (and money, MONEY) I'll stop writing now. Using this for Genshin for at least 2 years now, its solid , at medium settings temp is 35-37 if i setup where a fan is giving me air it settles at 35, brilliant, also i have a 3ds emu on it

To be honest I was expecting a bit more than a cheaper 2018 iPad Pro (and I would know since I have been using one for two years now as a full-time laptop replacement) when I first heard the Xiaomi Pad 5 was coming to Europe. Considering the software situation (Android not really optimised for tablets to begin with and the MIUI updates being anyone's guess) I still think the iPad is your best bet if you want a tablet for anything really. Not to mention that the keyboard for the Xiaomi Pad 5 will not, to my knowledge, be available for purchase here. P. S. The rear camera is very useful for taking pictures of presentation slides or scanning documents.

For me, android tablets still the best for my working area. It can be used with any other device. Premium android tablets/phones for me don't have any lagg since i'm using samsung note until now.

It's tempting to buy such a cheap but very good tablet, even though I don't know if I would use it much. :D I have a 7" Windows tablet (no keyboard) with Intel Atom, because some years ago I wanted a tablet and wanted to have Windows as the OS. It's currently collecting dust, and the OS needs to be reinstalled because some weird driver is crashing Windows right at boot-time. :/ Not a great experience. Nowadays I'd definitely go for Android-based tablets.

Unless you want more professional apps, it really a non issue regarding apps. Most popular apps are optimized and works great.

Haven't Xiaomi now matched Samsung's commitment to software updates? Pretty sure, it's going to get 3 OS updates and 4 years security updates.

In that case I would go definitely for Samsung S7👍 Xiaomi pen is not sth special, it has average reviews.Better buy one of the best Samsung's tablet instead of xiaomi, when there is almost no difference in price :)
@@Ray-75 Samsung tab is better, S-pen free and drawing experience is better compare to any other android or windows tablet with styluses can offer. Apple pencil so far the smoothest from my experience. but S pen undeniable the smoothest pen available compare to any other android tablet, reliable for arts and notes!

I have a 7" Windows tablet (no keyboard) with Intel Atom, because some years ago I wanted a tablet and wanted to have Windows as the OS. It's currently collecting dust, and the OS needs to be reinstalled because some weird driver is crashing Windows right at boot-time. :/ Not a great experience. Nowadays I'd definitely go for Android-based tablets.
well, windows tablet is laggy especially with that intel atom.
this might last you about 8 years before it gets laggy.
