Pile 1 is spot on, codependency IS the issue. But not on my end. He has a nasty addiction and hes not doing the work, its all happened exactly how it was meant to though because I didn't know the extent of it. He has such little self esteme, but FULL of ego.
So, his choices had consequences on the BOTH of us. Idk that he thought about that before hand.

Me either. We didnt even get off the ground, and we were very close friends before it turned into more.
I'm not a patient person, lol, but I have given him limitless patience, and instead of working on his bs, he thought he could have his cake and eat it too.
But he is not malicious. He would never purposely hurt me. I know that.

I wanted to ask spirit if it’s okay if I write about this connection and share it publicly and mostly what the hell I should do about him and I😅
I write fantasy novels, in the current one love is not even the main focus, but this connection was very heavy on my mind and it’s somewhat taboo for me talk about it. “I can’t tell it about anyone, so I will tell everyone” (it’s a loose tranlation of a line from a Hungarian poem :))
