CrazySexyCool is literally one of the best albums of all time! My dad bought this album and we played it tf out as a family ok! Not a single song was skipped either. This album still a vibe and as fresh as it was when it came out.

Please do 2pac’s 1995 classic album me against the world because by and large a work of pain, anger and burning desperation is the first time 2pac has taken the conflicting tugging at his psyche head on whether he leaves prison with a new sense of direction or is consumed by the same forces that chased him as a ghetto child running wild remains to be seen.

Yay! I’m happy you’re doing a video on TLC! My favorite album by them.
Just imagine if Twitter was around during the scandal of Left Eye burning her bf’s mansion down.

    TLC Accolades:
    - Sold over 90 Million Records globally (tied with Spice Girls only because Left Eye's death impacted their stardom)
    - Highest grossing selling tour for a female group of all time (The Fanmail Tour)
    - Ranked 7th on Billboard's top 10 most successful of the 90s decade rivaling Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Toni Braxton, Madonna, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks Boys To Men and Michael Bolton to be in the top 10 (outranking Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Destiny Child and every major global group except Boys To Men who ranked #4).
    - CrazySexyCool made TLC the first female group in global history to earn a Diamond certification.
    - CrazySexyCool has sold over 30 million copies globally
    - TLC has 4 #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 making them the most successful female group on the Billboard charts since 1990 till this very present day (only 2nd behind the Supremes in overall history)
If not the greatest female group to do it. Ppl fail to realize that TLC broke a hell load of barriers and became the biggest selling and most declorated female group in global history. Besides the unprecedented success, they were a movement. They were only meant to be a two second group and never had the right financial, executive, and music push behind them, but they perservered through these obstacles. Additonally they were an all Black female group which caused them to experience a lot of racial and sexist barriers (sad considering that Black women are the foundation of Rock music, Country music and every mainstream genre of music that the world primarily white America has stolen and white washed). They may not be the same without Left Eye nor have the stardom that they once had, but they are still that group. It's sad to see how groups like Spice Girls and Destiny's Child are placed over TLC in today's mainstream Pop culture, when TLC paved the way for both groups. The Spice Girls even talked about how TLC inspired and mentored them and TLC even allowed Destiny Child to be their opening act for the Fanmail Tour in 1999. I only have to say that Spice Girls did have the white media and white ran music industry supporting them because they were marketed as a predominantly white girl group and we unfortunately live in a world where Whiteness is associated with success, mainstream-ism, and so many resources and opportunities where was Black talent I under funded, disrespected and constantly stolen from. It's sad to see that there are no current Black Pop groups in this current generation of music. None at all. This is because white America has stolen genres of music from African Americans like Rock music and Country music and EDM, etc and marginalize Black artists to the urban categories of music to perpetuate negative stereotypes surrounding the African American community. Additionally because Black artists are regarded as only being Hip Hop or R and B artist (even though they created Country music, Rock music and everything else) Hip Hop and RNB are not invested in by white music executives compared to white artists that are allowed to perform and dominate every and any genre of music from Rock to Country music even Hip Hop and RNB. Because of this, Black groups have been erased from this tactic because they were already marginalized as just being urban artists. You also see this with how Black female Pop stars are rare to see. Only Beyonce and Rihanna exists for Pop music compared to an army of white women that rule Pop music. Black female performers are automatically portrayed as being urban artists even though African American women have been the foundation of Rock music, Country music and every genre that is mainstream.

Probably the greatest girl group album of all time. I think Kick Your Game might be my favorite, it showcased all the members very well, T-Boz's chill cool vocals, Chilli's sweet sexy belts and Left Eye's genius innovative roleplay raps.

Truly one of the greatest album ever made I first listened to it as a 00s baby going though my older sister’s old 90s CDs collections and I instantly fell in love with it I just love the sensual, smooth, relaxed style and lyrics it’s an album that dives into the complexity of sexuality in the 90s and black women of their era taking full control over it
    Favorite tracks:
    Crazy sexy cool
    Red light special
    If I were a girlfriend
    Waterfalls
    Creep
    Case of fake people

CrazySexyCool is one of the best albums ever! It touched so many important topics with great lyrics, production, sex appeal etc. The album is such a vibe and still sounds fresh and current nearly 30 years after its release. This era was legendary! Waterfalls is also one of the greatest and socially conscious songs ever! TLC is my favorite musical group of all time because of this album and era! Thanks for this video and giving us more insightful.

I loved them because they each had their own unique style and specific role in the group. There was no clear “lead”, they all worked together and had equal parts on their songs for the most part. I think most girl groups fall apart because theres always that “lead” that gets more attention, screen time, popularity, etc. This can cause conflict within the group leading to break-ups. Or the group is just boring. For example, there’s either be too many girls (like The Pussycat Dolls) and/or there is no unique personality to them. It’s just the “lead” singer and the rest are her backup singers/dancers at best.

CrazySexyCool & Fanmail are by far the best albums in TLC’s Career. Both albums are Fire 🔥 & have no skip’s whatsoever. Definitely iconic & CrazySexyCool stands the test of time. Their music is still relevant to today.

SWV was not their predecessor. Both released their debuts in 92’ but TLC’s was early 92 and SWV’s was late 92 but really took off in 93’ after the release of “I’m So into You”
    But excellent video!!!

@@billyjohn7846 Yup that’s right!!! A lot of people didn’t know that. Taj - Lelee - Coko. So to ur point they definitely weren’t TLC’s predecessors if they TLC grabbed the Acronym before SWV

Anytime someone asks me what are my Top 5 favorite albums of all time, CrazySexyCool will always and forever have the Number 1 spot. Sonically this album was amazing then when I had UA-cam, I looked up some many different live performances, interviews and photo shoots of TLC from this era and I fell in love with the album even more. Artists should truly takes notes from this album on how to turn an album into an era, not just creating the sound but also crafting the live performances and the image of the album.
Favorite Live Performances of this era:
1995 VMA’s Medley Performance (Black & White Outfits)
1996 Soul Train Awards (All-White Outfits)
1995 SNL Performances of Creep and Red Light Special
