Yes, musical color, the compositions of him and one of his inspiratiors - Claude Debussy - are extraordinary colorful due to their comparable style. For me Ryuichi Sakamoto transfers this music to our time. He continued the subtil humanity and beauty of such brillant impressionistic sounds. In this piece here he espicially may be also inspired by Maurice Ravels Bolero, for me the first Techno - styled piece of music ever made. Love it all so much ❤️
What music do you see listen to this? For me it's autum colours. The leaves on the trees turning gold, red and brown when you're out driving and you've got the trees from the woods either side of you. It's quality. I bet everyone imagines the song a little different in their head
Meeting Sakamoto when I was 10 years old was the best thing that ever happened to me.Without him, I would not have wanted to start learning piano, he is an excellent and inspiring artist.

It was a promo for the company this song was made in celebration to. It was called Aoyama x Ryuichi Sakamoto. Did you ever see it? It was basically a split screen; one half was Sakamoto's suit being made for this concert and the other half was Sakamoto himself preparing the music. The video ends with both sides coming together.

Ryuichi Sakamoto:in my opinion one of the most important contemporary composers...a genius also as philosopher, poet.....love his scores and contemporary classic compositions so much. It amazes me every time I listen to music created by Japanese musicians, whether it is a simple solo piano or solo guitar music or music involving an orchestra. Japanese pieces have their own unique feelings in their melodies and so you can just tell if they are from Japan just by listening to them. Very different from European music in terms of immediate sensations, but just as beautiful.

Debussy is nice. Da Bach is nice too... but don't finish on Debussy finish on da Bach.

I had the opportunity to attend a Sakamoto concert in Buenos Aires. It was an honour to share space and time with him. 💞

It amazes me every time I listen to music created by Japanese musicians, whether it is a simple solo piano or solo guitar music or music involving an orchestra. Japanese pieces have their own unique feelings in their melodies and so you can just tell if they are from Japan just by listening to them. Very different from European music in terms of immediate sensations, but just as beautiful.
