Trans-Siberian Orchestra, didn't you feature this song in a Coors-Light beer commercial on TV with similar Christmas trees lighting in synced conjunction with the music?
I'm shocked that this song was produced in October 2004!
TSO Your the BEST! The big tree is awesome 👏🏻 Those small trees seem to be running across the lawn!
First of these videos I ever saw and still my favorite!
Legendary mates.
The fact that this legendary house became the official music video for this song is just awesome
Didn't it start out featured in a Budweiser commercial in 2005? This has been remastered. The original doesn't have the clarity this one has.
I believe this same house got into a little trouble with the law because it really congested traffic on this road because so many cars stopped to see the show.
What city is this house because theres one in Rancho Cucamonga CA that does this
@@scubadiverstt Started out as a viral video before viral videos were cool, then it ended up in the commercial lol. Can't remember if it was Budweiser or not.
Yeah, I believe it was Bud Light, and the tag line at the end of the commercial was, "Enjoy the Lights."
I remember being astonished at the clarity of the video on TV because, as @It's Me pointed out, the one you could watch on your computer did not look this good.
THE FIRST CHRISTMAS MUSIC I'VE EVER GOTTEN A SPEEDING TICKET TO.
LMAO!!! 🤣
Way to go, I dont feel like lone ranger!! LOL 😆 asked what I was doing, driving he said know how fast u were going said 60 in 60, no 75 in 60 I told him if u were listening to what I am it might happen to u. Asked I said TSO OK WHATS THAT TOLD HIM HE SAID SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME TOOK MY TICKET TORE UP SAID UNDERSTAND 100%, BEST THERE IS ANYWHERE, SAID TO MEI AGREE. COME FIND OUT HE GOT A TICKET WHILE IN UTAH.
LMFAO
@@cherylhilden8512 now that is funny! 🤣🤣
LMFAO
I found my childhood. I always asked my parents if I could watch the “dancing houses”. This was the song I loved the most. Those precious little memories 😌
Ah yes I watch some of the Christmas lights videos. I think I was 8 I watch this.
i would always call it "lights of house" for some reason
House is rockin for me😂
Literally same but I said “singing houses” even if it had no words in it
This is one I love to synchronize on our house
What made this one so much more successful than all of the others that followed it is that he gradually revealed each element in this display as the song progressed. First the "Holiday" sign and the candy canes, then the little trees, the the wreaths, then the big tree, then the surrounding lights. They're all there, but you don't see them until the song progresses more and... "Oh, there's another thing. Oh, there's another one!" Many of the "imitators" failed to realize the beauty of the gradual reveal and put ALL of their lights on display ALL at once, and then just had them blink in time to the music.
The gradual reveal also makes the ending all the more special, where the whole house is illuminated by every light coming on at once as the song crescendos. Carson Williams put so much thought, time and hard work into this show, and no one has been able to perfectly replicate it since.
The white border lights at the end which you never see until then, MAGICAL!!! You both said it!
Somehow, I have a rememory of getting a copy of the light-o-rama script file and just being in awe of it. Also, back when 480 was all we had of this, that was how I learned about Happy Holidays being the phrase.
yep is very much those old animusic videos in that regard
@@agrofindastation OK. I'm a bit late, but your comment is _exactly_ what I came here to say!
this is the original...this is what started others to do the same....and created a contest
Ah, thanks person from 3 years ago. I was wondering if this was the one a teacher showed us back in the mid-2000s.
That is all. You can go back to forgetting you ever made this comment.
No, this is not the original. It's remake to satisfy the liberal socialist scumbags. The original is much older, and features a Merry Christmas theme. This is trash...
@@rogerwright1902 I... what?
@@rogerwright1902 you got a stick up your ass? what's your problem 💀💀🤚

This never gets old.
And here I am back again a year later.
@@rody2k6 Of course!
it 2020
@@ENTROPYCHAN yeah
but we are getting older :/
It's 2023, and still pumps me up for the Christmas season.
I went looking for this video the year after I saw it and it was no longer up. I contacted the original poster and asked to have it back up. And here we are. I take a little credit for this!
Carson and I worked together in the 1990s. Very talented programmer/analyst. I found out fairly quickly after this video was first posted that he had programmed a lighting sequencer rig to do this (the local news in Cincinnati reported the story). I think this was his first major accomplishment at this, and it found its way to a beer commercial, and then got adopted by TSO as an official video for the song. He got work programming similar rigs for drive-through Christmas light displays in public parks after that. I wonder what he's up to these days...
Thank you for commenting this -- it's so cool to find out that this was done in my hometown of all places! I went and looked this up on Wikipedia, and sure enough, this was recorded in Mason, Ohio! Your friend Carson has a Wikipedia page too; he seems to be doing well, and even got contracted by the Denver airport to run a show like this for them on a commercial scale! Wonder if he'd be willing to do something like this for the Cincy Zoo's Festival of Lights...
"Honey? Our neighbour's going crazy with his Christmas lights again!"
1k likes and 1 reply from 2 years ago... wtf
Lol imagine it shining in your window and music blasting in small hours when your trying to sleep
@@anneshields2010 Read about it. They ran it only from 6-10pm, and the music was broadcast by a low power FM transmitter so you could listen from you car.
@@anneshields2010 If it was Christmas Eve / Day, and if it was this music, I wouldn't mind. 😎
@@anneshields2010 There was a neighbour who did this near where I used to live BUT you could only hear the music if you turned your car radio to a specific channel. One year that household and the one across from it had duelling lights, LOL. The original home-owner used it as a fundraiser, collecting food and gifts for those who needed it at Christmas.
When I was in high school, me and the rest of the Orchestra (I used the Cello) played this during our Christmas concert. One of our guys had an electric guitar and other band equipment, allowing us to play it exactly like the Trans-Siberian version.
I swear every single one of us - though we did not speak of it; we just felt it- could feel the high paced emotion flying through as we played this. No pun intended, it was something magical. I wish we could do it all over again.
I'm a cellist too, and my orchestra is playing this during out winter concert. I also play the electric bass and we have many guitarists and bassists so hopefully it sounds as cool as the recording!
That must have been amazing to watch and be a part of.
Your original will always be the best. Remember your first love? It's the same.
What an amazing memory.
Chello there
No other home Christmas light show has been able to beat this one. I'm still waiting every year for someone to top the lighting design, visuals, and the right song to match from this classic display.
theres christmas music, then there is Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas music. its on a whole other level!
And Mannheim Steamroller Christmas music too! Not Christmas without those two!
yesssss
I can imagine myself in the mall doing last minute Christmas shopping and everybody is in a rush and this song is being played
Or in slow motion with everybody fighting while the song playing is it's beginning to look alot like Christmas XD
@@evanmiller2562..if you wanna meet Krampus..
It's not how many lights you have, it's how you use them. >u>
Lol yeah
Quality over quantity
Still here in 2020. I remember when this first appeared and being in awe....guess what I'm still in awe. The original, myth and legend!!!
Amen!
It's a shame the original video isn't still up. I think it was 2006, it was a huge "viral" hit at the time...but "huge" meant something else back then and people hadn't started calling things "viral" :)
I guess the old video went away when this became the official video /shrug
Great game yesterday... I dislike OSU...
I first saw it on "Stupid Videos"
@@meandthemrs7403 Stupid Videos? Aw man that one hits home. I lived on that site before UA-cam came to fame. Good times.
My grandfather showed me this three days after it was uploaded. I was living in florida with him at the time. He called me and my older sister over to the computer desk to show us this, I fell in love. It's hard to believe that was ten years ago, six years old and now fifteen, Still love this!
Nineteen now and I still come back to this video!!
56 and still look forward to it every year. Truth be told, I'll watch it from time to time throughout the year when I need a lift.
I watched this about 6 years ago
Wow
I still remember every single note
This is beauty
i remember watching this like 14 years ago (this is not the original video btw)
found the original: ua-cam.com/video/rmgf60CI_ks/v-deo.html
Same. I love this song.
This is Old Internet badassery at its best. That era shall be sorely missed.
I was there for it. I heard the song on the radio, while I watched the lights go crazy. I loved every second of it.
Raise your hand if this is what introduced you to TSO many years ago... ✋
🙋
🙋🏻♀️
🙋🏻♀️
Not me, the rock band 'Savatage' introduced me to TSO. A very underrated 80s-90's band. A producer and a few members of the band eventually formed Trans Siberian Orchestra.
🙋♂️ Christmas radio
It's been almost 20 years and I've seen many light shows to this song since. This is still my absolute favorite. It is perfection.
You know you've done well when the band adopt your Christmas lights as the music video for the song.
I watch this every year.
13 years ago and this is still the G.O.A.T. of light sync shows!
that's some awesome Christmas lighting.
0:28 that beat drop before the “chorus” cannot be beaten!
My wife and daughter in-law got to see you in Atlanta this weekend. They were thrilled.
Just brutal that ads inviting me to click over to watch more from Trans-Siberian and something else, block half the screen for the last 30 seconds, just when the pyrotechnics and the music are building to a climax and there is no way to remove them. It's a shame because I was showing it to someone because I remember it from '04 and it is insanely good! The ads ruined it for me and I'm sure many others feel the same.
> The ads ruined it for me
This summarizes the internet.
Either get adblock or youtube vanced. Another work around is to skip to the end then replay. Others have said no ads then. Good luck!
ooooooooooh yes!!! :( and I didnt find out how to turn it off
@@andrewkennedy9704 for the record, my adblocker does not remove those ads at the end of EVERY single video I ever see! :)
@@boggett2001 that sucks. I use youtube vanced on mobile and I dont see any at all.

I remember hearing this back when I was a 5 or 6-year-old, and it's still a killer song.
Merry Christmas 2023.
This song is a classic as well as a masterpiece by one of my favorite bands.
10 years and still the best.. neat, clean simple and in perfect sync...can't beat the original. many have tried!

When I saw this for the first time, back in 2009, I was awe struck. I wanted that! 12 years later I'm doing it! What an inspiration this was for me and I know others! Thank you to the creator of this display. You launched many into this hobby! FANTASTIC!
The one that started it all. It never gets old. Never more needed than 2020. Thank you so much.
I never get tired of watching these types of videos.
First vid I ever watched on UA-cam. Way back 7 years ago :/
This is ART. The amount of synchronization is incredible!
My dad has a 2 thousand dollar light setup that he used to do something like this every christmas, has a whole radio transmitter to play a bunch of custom coded light displays to play with songs. And best of all, this song. It is what got me into my current hobby and dream field to work in, electronics. It’s such a fond memory of mine and i always thought it was so cool, we used to have people come by for a couple minutes and just sit and watch in their cars. If i can find a video of it i’ll post it here, but it’s probably on an old hard drive
If u do ever post it please link it
Please, please do that ! Thanks for sharing these vibes with us! Id love to watch that video too ! Id be amazing !
Link please !!
WOW, i remember when this video first came out... my jaw on the floor... thats a lot of electrical circuits... lots of either programming or setting up....an individual? a team of people? just a lot in general! but the results... truly amazing, and has become a classic in every sense when it comes to Christmas!
So good to see it again, its been quite a few years, and thankfully and quite unexpectedly, the love of my life emailed me the link to this. Love it! Happy Christmas all.
It has aged so well.
There have been many who would try to copy this original, but this IS the BEST still, of all.
This song rocks even after almost 20 years
I remember when the original video was released, and so many people thought it was faked. Something about the grass in the foreground not moving correctly, or some silliness. So glad this is the official music video for this song. :)
Who's watching in January 2024?! This is amazing!
February 2024!😊
Put me down for March 2024!!
When my brother and I were kids we LOVED this video. Always wanted to watch it and we called the song “the house song”. Still love it.
Still to this day this is the best light sync I’ve ever seen. It’s simple, clean, has the added bonus of being the first one I ever saw.
I saw this when I was 5 years old. I thought, "Hey, that'd be awesome to do something like that!"
Several years later and now we run our own huge display set to music. We always use this song!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!!
What got me into Trans Siberian Orchestra
One of the best light shows known to man, right up there with carol of the bells.
i believe this was some fun an electrical engineer in Mason Ohio was having that year and being from north Ohio ive always referred back to this persons legendary contributuon to the christmas season! Thanks again whoever you are!
Who's back to this song!? >:D I'll see y'all again here next year!!!!! 🤘🏻👊🏻🎵🎶🎄HAPPY HOLIDAYS ROCK ON BABY WOOOOOO
Never gets old.
This is so insane. I remember seeing this decades ago with the grainy version that was around in those days of video sharing. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought there was a HD version. Old memories have been unlocked.
Please don't ever remove this video. We watch it every year. December, 2022
These lights r Awesome and I love this music
November 2019. It’s right about that time of year.
I remember this was one of the coolest viral videos back in the day. Watched it on my Dell PDA so many times. 😅
Worst thing about the UA-cam, the way they put end caps over the last few seconds of a video, obscuring your view. So annoying!
I KNOW It ruined the climactic ending!
I was thinking exactly the same thing it's so annoying, ruined the kool ending
Ikr
It’s actually the video uploader’s choice, but yeah pretty annoying
The UA-camr puts it, not youtube.
That's incredible. It's a perfect mix of rock and christmas music. I love it.
Oldie, but a goodie. Who else is here in 2020.
This is and will always be my favorite Christmas song. Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Mannheim Steamroller are the GOAT's of Christmas music.
This song will always and forever be a MASTERPIECE 🩵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🩵
The neighbors must love it
I remember this being the first youtube video I've watched, it was the grainier one uploaded nov 2006 though.
my teacher played this in class and I don't blame her for it, it goes incredibly hard
this christmas is gonna be a little somber for me without my dad here I lost him to brain cancer last Saturday night he loved me a lot I just hope theres no family drama in my house dammit .
Hope you are doing ok. Sending you hugs
So sorry to hear. This is my first Christmas with out Pop and my Father in Law. Gonna be a hard one. God's Peace to you.
I'm so sorry. I lost my dad unexpectedly on December 6, 2018.
I am in the exact same situation. Lost Pop in January and my father-in-law in November. Find your refuge in Jesus. Stay strong and Peace to you.
This is the original. Everything else is a fraud. I freakin love this, and I watch it every Christmas.
I have loved this for years. Every Christmas period I find it and watch and enjoy! Someone else mentioned that It never gets old . I have to agree. I think it is brilliant!
The most iconic Christmas house ever
in the store-so how many lights you need?
that guy- yes
best christmas song
One of the best for sure
I got to see TSO In St. Paul, MN with my mother in 2009. I remember us having so much fun when this song was played with the piano parts. Since then my mother has died from a 20+ year battle with cancer. I used this song as her ring tone, when she was alive and I use it now for my Christmas ringtone. It gives me a great memory I spent with my mother. Thank you so much.
No house today with lights like this will ever match the energy this one has.
Carson Williams from Mason, OH originally did this amazing display of lights. The music was broadcast over a low FM frequency for nearby radios to pickup the audio. And like others have said, It is absolutely amazing that it is the official video for the song.
I think they refilmed it with a newer light display because a lot of the colors are different. But it’s definitely the same house. Edit: According to Wikipedia, TSO digitally remastered the original.
so classic. I listened to this so much as a kid.
Greatest Xmas rock song EVER!!!!!
I listen to this every Christmas
Trans-siberian orchestra your Christmas 🎄 music is uplifting my friend
Just ran across this song in a music stream feed and thought, "I wonder if the house Christmas light show featuring this song is still on UA-cam?" YESSS! And yes, it was the song that got me interested in Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
The original and while some are so much more complex today, this will always be the champ
Ahhhhh. The original in HD. Very nice!
This is one of the original videos my music teacher showed us in elementary!!!! I’m so happy to have found it!!!!
I can't believe I grew up with this song. It really radiates the magic that was promised. My all-time favorite song of the season 💚
I watched this video for the first time around 2006 and now 15 years later for the past two years I've run a Christmas light show on my house. I am planning on entering the field of lighting/show design because of this video and what it has inspired. Thank you.
I remember watching it in 2006 too! I was 4, and I think I called it "the Haunted House Song" even though the house doesn't look old or Victorian at all.
i watched this when it first came out and helped to send it viral, good to see it still here.
this video is known as a benchmark and set the standard for all other to follow.
the person who made this was/is a technical and artistic genius.
Still watching June 30, 2014!
I remember my teacher showing us this like a decade ago in elementary school. And I’ll always thank her cause every year I will always come back to this🤍
I remember having a toy piano when i was a kid and it had this as a preloaded songs. Randomly stumbled upon it and i just got hit with nostalgia lmao
Only the best Christmas lights of all forever and ever!!!!
This song always Plays in the mall when the store is about to close in 5 minutes and everyone is running around to get their Christmas gift before its too late
I will never get tired of this masterpiece.
This band has the most epic Christmas music
Makes for happy times when are bad...
It's surprising to see that this channel is running 10 years strong.
This introduced me to TSO. Then I heard more songs, finally saw a video from a show, saw the the 2020 live stream then finally saw them live in 2021
Best Christmas lights video EVER!
The absolute best light show EVER. Made me LOVE Trans Siberian Orchestra.
