"I'd be surprised if he gets by Houston" Houston picked at 25; after the trade with the Browns, the Browns picked at 25. The Browns picked him at 25. I'm so happy.
better analysis than bleacher report... people need to stop looking just at the tapes and stat sheet and consider what systems players were under and how they were coached. Thank you for recognizing that.
Nationsss multiple defense.. (various fronts/personnel) with more man to man looks. Last year we ran a ton of zone which IMO did not suite our secondary’s strengths
Stud strong safety, who will also do damage returning kicks. He can force the run coming downhill on the edge and can cover man to man or in zone. Looks like Earl Thomas with a tad more speed, and may be an even bigger hitter. If this guy falls to late in the 1st round he'll be the steal of the draft. 2nd round would be ridiculous, but he'll never get there because if he's there at 26 don't be surprised if Seattle takes him as the successor to Thomas. He would fit their zone blitz system perfectly.
Things I like about Brett: 1. He's smart 2. He's humble and smart enough to know he's not omnicient 3. He's willing to admit he was wrong, go back and re-evaluate not only a player but his own evaluation of that player and completely change his mind 4. He doesn't just look at the position the player currently plays but extrapolates that players talents into other positions to see where that player will be most effective. If I were a decision maker for a team, I'd do whatever it took to hire you Brett. I love your stuff.
I definitely had my questions about Jabrill Peppers but I think he has become actually underrated as a New York Giant these days. His potential is off the chart! You are one of if not the best football analyst as far as watching film & allowing people to understand the game out there Brett & I really do mean that. Keep up the great work!
That's some big ups, Jabrill Peppers himself confirmed the accuracy of this evaluation. Gotta say, Peppers would look really good with a fleur-de-lis on his helmet.
Last time I watched the NFL network Mike Mayock had Peppers as the #1 safety in the draft, when I saw that I was like "ok I'm missing something here" but after I watched this I think I get it now.
Peppers can "deliver the boom" too, is faster than Adams (Hooker didn't run the 40 so idk) and more versatile (can play like 10 different position). That doesn't equate to "way better". We haven't even seen Peppers play much at safety. Also, they're completely different types of players, it's like saying Ray Lewis is way better than Rey Maualuga.
When I have a kid like this I use him at the "down" Safety position in a single-high scheme. (my Strong Safety who rolls down and aligns in the box versus 21 Personnel) He'd be asked to do a variety of things: play the flats, cover TE's or HB's, blitz off the edge, etc. When we get 10 Personnel and stay in single-high he'd carry vertical seams, cover routes to the flat and/or play man coverage against slots. When going to a 2-high coverage (2-read or Cover-6) he'd be the Nickle defender...again...doing a variety of things. Carrying vertical seams, playing flats, manning the #2 or #3 receiver, etc. What a luxury he is to have.
Brett Kollmann I'm glad you made this video. Man I saw Bleacher Reports vid on Jabrill and they had nothing real positive to say about him. I wasn't to happy with their evaluation on him
I don't usually comment on videos, but I just gotta let you know that your videos are amazing. Insightful with great analysis while also funny and cheeky at times. Thank you for all you do.
I do my own scouting as well and watch each and every video of yours. We agree on most prospects but the ones we disagree on I immediately change my mind and agree with you haha these videos are so in depth man. Thank you for doing this for us people who just can't get enough of football and need something during the offseason.
your work is great man, wish there were more guys as good as you doing this. personally i like the meaty and long episodes, these episodes allow me to study great football players and that greatly helps my development as a football player. im sure i am not the only high school player who does the same and appreciates your work as much as i do. keep it up!
Well done, sir. You guessed the position that Peppers would be drafted at, just couldn't predict that another team would fall back there to get him at a good value. Also as a Cleveland fan, I really appreciate this analysis as most of the Talking Heads were too busy lambasting this pick because "he doesn't have a position" even though he's someone I felt was a clear and obvious SS with solid run help and good coverage skills. Also, I think this is exactly the sort of guy that Gregg Williams is going to make hay with.
incognito253 whatever peppers and Garrett give us will be better than the garbage I watched last year lol, I'm just hoping we don't let kizer get mauled he needs to sit until we can draft a good center next year
Absolutely an awesome vid and excellent breakdown of what Jabrill can and was asked to do at Michigan. Great analysis! As a Browns fan, im stoked they drafted Peppers and at the spot you predicted! I know Gregg Williams had a big smile on his face when he was drafted and you're probly right about him playin SS and slot corner for us. He's also already our best return man. Great job again. Keep these videos comin
Got to hand it to you. You nailed his draft position. 25th just the team flopped. Awesome job and explanation. As an Ohio State guy I hated him. As a Browns fan, welcome home.
Great video. As a steelers fan I feel like we're getting teased by the few mock drafts I've seen that had Pitt taking him. I just don't see him being there when they pick.
Perhaps...from my novice eye and from what I hear we play a lot of zone. But scheme aside I think he's a playmaker with what seems like the right attitude to help any secondary he gets on.
Brett you are a draft god. Love your work I truly hope someone gives you a chance as a director of scouting or something along those lines. You made me a fan after the Rams Tavon Austin/Todd Gurley video and now I watch every video. Keep up the awesome work no one makes scouting reports like you do. It'd be cool if you did a prospect scouting report on Chris Godwin from Penn State or George Kittle from Iowa.
I think the best way to use him is the same way that the eagles use Malcolm Jenkins he is a safety but when a team has a slot WR he comes down from his safety position to be a slot corner ,I think he will succeed if the team that drafts him figures out how to use him
excellent video, I love the format. and this just convinced me I want my saints to draft peppers at the end of the first round, even though we have Kenny Vaccaro lol
Hes simply a football player. Everyone sat here and killed him BC of "how he played" failing to understand that he was doing what ever helped the team. Real evaluators of talent see what he has and see his true potential. He gets his comparison to The Honey Badger for the same reason. He's a ball player! At a pro level you put him at anywhere as a defensive back your going to have a playmaker and someone you need to know where they are at at all times.
I wish you had shown how he teleports around blockers on screens. You mentioned how teams can't run screens to his side, but it would have been nice to see him blow up those plays.
hey Brett... thanks for blessing us with your film work man.. ive been watching since the jamies/mariota breakdown.. is there a plan do do a budda baker breakdown? PLEASE!
"I'd be surprised if he gets by Houston"
Houston picked at 25; after the trade with the Browns, the Browns picked at 25. The Browns picked him at 25. I'm so happy.

You're probably the best UA-cam analyst
Deffernitly
Robert Germain Voch Lombardi is pretty good. But man this guy is good. I'm a new fan of his work now, actually found out about him through Lombardi 😉
Robert Germain him and Samuel Gold. They are so fun to watch and learn from
He is!
Welcome to the Giants!
I had to watch this to make myself feel better.
Dennis Williams lol same
We just hired a ST coordinator who hired a multiple man heavy DC.... hopefully Peppers blossoms
@@Steve84066 multiple man?
Nationsss multiple defense.. (various fronts/personnel) with more man to man looks. Last year we ran a ton of zone which IMO did not suite our secondary’s strengths
We've all been waiting for this
As have I
Can you do a Mike Glennon video Brett Kollmann
Brett Kollmann what's going on in your life now ?
The only guy I hit the notification bell for.
Notification squaaaaaad
This dude should be an NFL scout
JRogersTV he was.
Really? Any details on his scouting background?
he was? whered you learn that?
He worked for the NFL Network, now he's a blog writer for The Houston Texans
Yesssssss
I'm completely in the dark on what this guy can be in the NFL. Thanks for this
Ken Clouds bust
Strong safety he's got the speed of a corner and the physicality of a linebacker.
Ken Clouds he's awful
He is a bust😂

Didn't make it past 25, good call.
That's some big ups, Jabrill Peppers himself confirmed the accuracy of this evaluation.
Gotta say, Peppers would look really good with a fleur-de-lis on his helmet.
My favorite part of the week! Watching your videos is like opening a gift on Christmas morning as young child
Last time I watched the NFL network Mike Mayock had Peppers as the #1 safety in the draft, when I saw that I was like "ok I'm missing something here" but after I watched this I think I get it now.
RomeDa515 I'm a big Michigan fan so you know I'm big on Jabrill, but I was shocked too. He's still not going to get drafted as the #1 safety though
Hooker and Adams are way better than Jabrill. I'd put him #3 or 4 but he still could be a very good player in the NFL
dapianna23 they aren't way better just better in coverage
Hooker has the best range in the country and Adams can deliver the boom.
As a Browns fan, you made me feel a lot better about last night's draft. Thanks for the video.
Giants next star safety? 🤔
This guy is amazing, he breaks down football concepts and evaluates talent in one fell swoop, YOU are the real MVP sir
Thumbnail shot: Jabril of all trades :P. As if Brett knew
That thumbnail is ironic

THANK YOU FOR KNOWING THE GAME OF FOOTBALL ! THIS IS AMAZING
awesome work, just awesome. i really appreciate the bits of scheme you work into your evals.
You are not alone! After that combine, a lot of us had to go back to the tape....Great Job as always 👍✊
Looks like you're buying a Browns jersey lolol
Always look forward to your take on prospects thank you for these.
can you do taco charlton, derek barnett, marqul lee, or jayon brown
I don't usually comment on videos, but I just gotta let you know that your videos are amazing. Insightful with great analysis while also funny and cheeky at times. Thank you for all you do.

we have JC Tretter now. Browns made a lot of nice moves in the offseason with OL
Absolutely an awesome vid and excellent breakdown of what Jabrill can and was asked to do at Michigan. Great analysis! As a Browns fan, im stoked they drafted Peppers and at the spot you predicted! Just discovered your channel via Field Gulls. These are fantastic! Keep up the great work!
excellent video and nice analysis. it will be exciting to see him actually play in the NFL
congrats you swayed me I like Jabrill Peppers now I was not a fan at all before this vid but now I am you got me lol
Thanks for the reassurance on peppers. Needed someone to break down this guys true potential
I like the longer videos Brett so keep it up! Can't wait for the Zach Cunningham breakdown!
I look forward to your videos every week man. keep em coming. also I prefer the longer in depth vids
You got to the point that I like your video before I actually watch it. That is trust. Love your work.
Welcome to Cleveland
Thank you for breaking down what he did for this defense. I get tired of reading the hate he gets from casual fans who don't understand these things
dude you're amazing at breaking this shit down. props, hope you upload during the season!
Welcome to Cleveland I hope your right
Got to hand it to you. You nailed his draft position. 25th just the team flopped. Awesome job and explanation. As an Ohio State guy I hated him. As a Browns fan, welcome home.
Brilliant video! Always the best from Brett
Great job. Love the diagram near the end of the video
Excited to see how my Giants and Bettcher use him @SS
Thanks n keep it up
Brilliant, well done as always.
Thank you. Amazing job yet again. Love your videos. I learn so much
you were spot on with this analysis and were he got picked nicely done sir #GoBrowns
I wish you were able to upload more frequently man I love the content!!
Great episode, Brett! Thanks again.
Brett's videos are life.
Great video. As a steelers fan I feel like we're getting teased by the few mock drafts I've seen that had Pitt taking him. I just don't see him being there when they pick.
I'd love to see him come to Pittsburgh. a slot corner is one of our biggest needs outside of OLB, and we could easily get one of those in the 2nd
Yah he could certainly play that role. I just don't think he'll be there...unfortunately. we need help on D.
Peter Ecker he doesn't fit our scheme.
Perhaps...from my novice eye and from what I hear we play a lot of zone. But scheme aside I think he's a playmaker with what seems like the right attitude to help any secondary he gets on.
Peter Ecker Every single player in the league is a playmaker man, you don't get there being a bum
Thank you Brett!!!!
Brett you are a draft god. Love your work I truly hope someone gives you a chance as a director of scouting or something along those lines. You made me a fan after the Rams Tavon Austin/Todd Gurley video and now I watch every video. Keep up the awesome work no one makes scouting reports like you do. congrats on almost 18k
Shoutout from the Uk, keep up the good work
Wow great video!!! Welcome to the Gmen. Seems like a quality player and person. Little by little Gettleman starting to address the defense.
Your videos are making smarter football fans... Great work
You're a beast man! Incredible content as always!!
Finally i found one who just speak sport, new subscriber.
Great vids. . Always very interesting info and I learn a lot from them! !
It's 3 am I should go to sleep..
( JABRILL PEPPERS SCOWTING VID)
Oooohhh new Brett Kollman vid!!
I think the best way to use him is the same way that the eagles use Malcolm Jenkins he is a safety but when a team has a slot WR he comes down from his safety position to be a slot corner ,I think he will succeed if the team that drafts him figures out how to use him
Men of talents and physical strength
This man gonna be a superstar in football
Great job of talking me off the ledge as a Browns fan
I also was down on Peppers. But you know what, i trust your analysis. Good job man.
“You aren’t gonna put a 6’4 250 pound linebacker on a slot receiver” *insert Isiah Simmons
excellent video, I love the format. and this just convinced me I want my saints to draft peppers at the end of the first round, even though we have Kenny Vaccaro lol
These vids are really impressive! thanks!
Hes simply a football player. Everyone sat here and killed him BC of "how he played" failing to understand that he was doing what ever helped the team. Good job on the breakdown mane. Prociate yea.
I never ever comment but this one i have definitely been waiting on.
Please do a WR. Your analysis of Amari Cooper last year was awesome!
Great video as always Brett! Please make a video on Takkarist Mckinley or Obi Melifonwu :)
Love your stuff man. Keep it up!
Hey man love your channel! maybe a mock draft or two? give some idea as to the direction teams will go and who may fall to the later picks
Yet again another awesome video!
I wish you had shown how he teleports around blockers on screens. You mentioned how teams can't run screens to his side, but it would have been nice to see him blow up those plays.
love to see you talk about Obi from UConn
Yes please
Aza Seal yep I want to here what he thinks about long and tall safety's
Aza Seal obi is just a combine warrior it doesn't translate to the game at all
Captain Spartan 04 His tape ain't bad tho.
youve taught me more about football than my coach
Awesome video, love the intro.
Man I hate Jabrill Peppers and I thought he was so overrated all season and you definitively changed my mind. Great video.
Jeffrey Book very overrated. Big dissapointment
Great job on this. I kinda hope he's there at pick 28.
Great work. How well do you think Budda Baker would fit with the Texans?
I'd love to see a breakdown of Derek Barnett. I see lots of mixed opinions on where he'll end up and I'd like to see your take
Could you Do a review on Derek Barnett vs Taco Charlton. The Colorado cornerbacks, tankersley from Clemson and Sydney jones.
No need to apologize for the length of episodes. The more breakdown the better!
welcome to Cleveland. ❤
Great break-down
Him and myles Garrett are going to change the browns
hey Brett... thanks for blessing us with your film work man.. ive been watching since the jamies/mariota breakdown.. is there a plan do do a budda baker breakdown? PLEASE!
Your football knowledge is deep
Can you PLEASE do one with the QB's? Mahomes, Watson, Trub and Kizer?
Put this dude on espn please. First video I've seen from him and my jaw just dropped
thank you for these videos
So Brett, what's your opinion of the Brown's picking Garrett, Peppers, Kiser, and Njoku?
YES! Love your videos!
when speaking about zone drops, did you say "logarya" @5:20 ish. I would like to know this terminology
I'm a simple man. I see Brett posts a video, I click.
