Ingrown Hairs Extraction - 16 minutes-

- This video will teach you how to remove ingrown hairs if you suffer from it. It is not easy to do it to yourself, but with a little practice and a lot of patience you will get.
In the recording you can see scabs in many of the hairs that I am about to remove, they are due to failed attempts by the client a few days before. This is not serious, nor leave a scar. The only drawback is that this little trauma to the skin did not help because as you can see, the hairs were still trapped under the skin.

I get ingrown hairs also so I know how they feel. I feel relief for this person everytime I see a hair released from under the skin!!!! So satisfying!!!
Hi, I'm sorry to ask, but does it hurt? When having the hair removed, soy you need any kind of anesthesia?
@@marianopastrana7680 Hi, it’s no problem. The ingrown hairs I get is more annoying than a pain, but they definitely can be painful! It really depends how deep the hair is and it also can become infected and inflamed. In those cases, a local anesthetic may be used, but for these and the ones I get, I doubt they use anesthesia.
I scrub my legs with a nylon scouring pad in the shower a couple times a week. It's really helped the ingrown hair situation. It's very irritating the first few times you do it. Just don't apply too much pressure.

Watching your videos really helps to curb my trichotillomania :) I had a lot of ingrown hairs on my legs and would continuously scrape them out with tweezers, safe to say my legs are scarred and damaged now. So to see the removal done right with such precision and care is really awesome and calming for me!

Buy some small piercing needles. Only use the tip. That's what is being used.

@@fatimaariza1596 if you do this just be very careful, it looks like maybe a 16g or even smaller like an 18g maybe. (G just means gauge btw) You can get them from amazon, just check reviews to confirm the quality. Again, please be super careful if you do this because the needles are so sharp they go through your skin like butter.

I’d recommend these like super sharp pointy tweezers I got on Amazon idk what they’re called but they work great but prolly do a lot more damage to my skin 😅

In my experience it's better to leave them until the skin is healed because they will grow in again underneath the scabs. That's how it was with me anyways. Now I laser my legs like once a month and my hair is gone for like 90%. No more ingrown hair for me!

Thanks Dr Juls. Yes, I have two children. I use a 25G size. This is the ideal size that best fits these lesions, not too much flexibility, not too thick that could cause pain.

THIS IS LITERALLY MY LIFE EVERY SUMMER on my outer calves. Anyone who doesn't deal with this, count yourselves lucky. Yes it's satisfying to watch, but so so annoying when you can see red bumps and hairs caught everywhere under the skin.

How are these ingrown hairs so clean and neat? I know when I have one I immediately get a huge, sore, pus filled spot that will not stop leaking until I get that hair out! Also music on this was unnecessary and v annoying.

That inflammation is good. It pushes the bad hair to the surface and itches so you get it out. This guy got unlucky with his skin/hair combo. Not good to have all that hair putting pressure on your skin.

You can almost kind of see them beneath the skin I noticed. Hard on camera, likely easier in person.

Even after seeing a bunch of ingrown hair removal vids from this doctor, I still have a hard time wrapping my head around how precise she is! She does better work with a simple needle than some docs do with a scalpel! And so little bleeding and bruising.Of course, now I'm curious. Is there any reason you use a hypodermic needle instead of a scalpel, Dr. Reina?
A scalpel is used to cut. There's no need to cut into skin to release hairs.
She's not a doctor, so she's not allowed to use a scalpel. Her method is very effective and non intrusive though. Plus, she makes great videos.
My comment was more a reference to the purported precision which doctors and surgeons wield a scalpel, as to say she is just as precise. Of course, I watch Dr. Lee's videos and she loves that #11 blade.
I had no idea there is a restriction on who can use a scalpel, especially since I can buy them online!

that is my understanding. We can use a scalpel, but probably not in a professional setting; it may be illegal. I could be wrong, but that is what I thought the rules were.

How is it that most of her ingrown hairs just slide out of the skin? Whenever I've had an ingrown after I got it out of my skin I still had to pull it out of the root. Her's don't seem to be in the root anymore.
Felicia Marie Torre hair follicles have active phases and dormant phases. When the follicle goes dormant the hair would fall out, that's why some of hers are just inside but not gripping on. Maybe you extract yours while it's still active?

The area in question I believe is the pubic region. Shaved to close with a dull razor and not enough lather. I've done the ingrown hair thing with several girlfriends.

lord, how I got here I'm still wondering, why I watched, well fascinated I think, as I've shaved legs and armpits being blond has great advantages with less noticeable body hair. Never found any ingrown ones.. lucky I guess, I don't think I could have sat as still as this lady did, being harpooned with a needle.. lol
