- With our OnePlus 8 Pro review out of the way and orders arriving, it's time to talk about how to get you setup and ready to dominate. The OnePlus 8 Pro features so many goodies that you'll want to make sure you know where to find it all.
In this video, we talk about the 120Hz QHD+ display, using the triple cameras, which home settings to tweak, all of sound settings and gestures, and which security settings to use (both face unlock and fingerprints).
Oh and by the way, this video and its tips apply to the OnePlus 8 as well.

On Display screen calibration setting always use the display P3, and range it in between warmth and cold. Gives a perfect display color. That's what I've been using on my 7 Pro. ❤️

Well I’ve made the decision, I’m switching from iPhone to Android and the Oneplus 8 Pro!

Had it for a week now and love it ! Have been using iPhones for the last decade with a few android in the mix. Good to be back with such a great phone
@H J the 120hz display is noticeably more fluid than iOS which really surprised me at first and the display is do bright and vibrant on comparison to the iPhone which frankly looks dated now. The IPhone is still a beast and it's preference at this point I'm preferring Oxygen OS and the OP8 PRO

Watching this on my OnePlus 8 pro I came from a OnePlus 3T when you use 120hz and then use another device you notice it it's even crazier when you change from 120hz to 60hz on the device itself it's so noticeable you'll never want to go lower bits no gimmick and the battery life is good even if you have your screen at the highest settings I'm getting 5 and Half hours with 15% left to spare and I played pubg fortnite watched bare UA-cam downloaded big 7gib apps and surfed the web, Instagram and Snapchat don't be fooled it's very good has to be phone of the year for 2020

Cool video!!! I want your opinion on this. I am about to receive my own oneplus 8 pro and I don't know what to do with the first charge. My dilemma is to charge it all the way to the 100 % at once or to 80%? Or let it die to 0% and then charge it? Because I've heard that it's bad for battery to goes to maximum

I'm using 3T.... although the screen is smashed....the corner of the display is shattered.....it still works
It okay, I have the 6t....I’ve had two, and the speakers suck, Also there’s no sound options for texting! I can’t hear anything when someone text me.
....and it’s so hard to turn off, or restart....pushing the side button doesn’t bring up the restart or off options, unless I ask google to turn it off, then the button options will appear....happens on both one plus 6t phones I’ve had.

Brill tutorial one of the best I've seen. I have ordered the standard 8, hopefully most of these yips will work on this. Can you also set different sounds for family members so you know who's is calling. I did like the function on iPhone which mentioned the name of the contact calling.

How to bring brightness on first swipe down? I use that feature a lot and I need quick access to brightness slider.

can you do a test in sunlight on how the screen brightness turned all the way up handles the sunlight? can the screen be seen or still difficult?
It has the brightest display on the market if I'm not mistaking. So you can definitely see it in the sunlight.

I liked the video and will deep dive an area one at a time.
But, I really wanted to know how to snap a picture verbally. I used "shoot" on my Sam7.
Secondly, I never did find how to "Close all open apps". I didn't think it was the back button, nor the home button, and I don't understand the square button anyway, even tho you used it in your video.
So satisfying just looking at phone

There is a simple button for Dark Mode now, when you swipe down on the homescreen and hit the pencil, you can choose for a button where you can turn Dark Mode on/off
Can you change the google feed if you swipe right on Homs screen?
Got mine yesterday however the OnePlus switch app taking forever but then failed so need to do a simple restart without music or photos etc

Close ur eyes and go for 8 pro.. Better Camera, processor, refresh rate, wireless charging, splash proof water resistance.

Afroz Gauhar nope I am an expert an no shiller. It is almost the same phone, you will notice no difference in use or speed. Even display on 120hz or 90 makes no real difference, most people will not even see it.
Camera is also comparable. To upgrade the 7tpro McLaren to the 8pro is just wasted time and money

Hi @Droid Life, My OnePlus 8 pro doesn't show me notification preview for Gmail, WhatsApp, Messenger, etc,.
- I have tried deactivating battery optimization for these apps, still no luck.
- All I see is the app icon on the status bar incase there is any notification. I would like see the preview of the content, like I used to on my previous android devices.
- Usually there used to be a "show/hide preview when locked" setting for apps, but I haven't come across any in 8pro.
- The only time I see a preview of the message is when I'm already using the app. Otherwise I just see the icon of the app pop up.
