@@Neffwolf Details right now is either bugged, or not showing this fairly, as is logs. It should be feeling okay by level 80. But it is def looking worse. But I just did a 17 nelth and we had 0 damage timer issues and the damage looked representative of there being 3 DPS in the party. So for now work on rotation, use details as a reference point but not as a true value. They are releasing the "hooks" for aug soon so we can get all the full data and that should help!

I mean not hard a guide would be to make for m+ its common sense. Cast ebon might -> extend ebon might. Cast pressence and breath of eons and scales gg. If u need a guide for that then prob shouldnt be playing the game lol
Augmentation Players got a bad name because 95% of them were hard carried to 3k+ Rio and did not even know mechanics sometimes. Yet those same Players flamed liek crazy and called players bad and shit and whatnot when they werent as high as them. Simple as that. They brought it over themselves. Ah yes hard carried. When my team is full of monkeys so I have to do everything from dispelling (lovely affix, healer sleeping), pulling people out of fire, off healing (because people don't pay attention), interrupting to even dpsing (sometimes I catch up to normal dps people which is just comical). Such is life

I would not reccomend it only as yeah, people will deny you. Learn some dev for those early keys. around 10-11 you probably can do it. But I've had 20's where people tell me not to play aug, I've had 24's where people say dont play aug, 12's LOL. I dont think it matters, you might hear it anyway
As someone on the receiving end of Augmentation who wants to know how I'm getting 'augmented' in M+, this guide is everything I need to know and more. Thank you very much, very well presented. I know also understand why I'm getting randomly rescued (22:51) while I'm already close or at the preferred position, which now makes me go from 👿 to 👍. Some questions: how common is it for Augs to hard or insta cast heals (I assume this would be living flame?) when stuff goes south? For example when your healer is dead, CC'd or doesn't recognize big hits on the tank or when the group is dying in general? Another question: 23:05 _"And note that rescue does not break channels"_ . Do you actually mean spell channels here? Or spell casts in general?
Thank you for this information, Bowser. Do you know why Augmentation is nowadays always at the bottom of the statistical score and tier raiding lists? For example, it's currently at the bottom of the raid tier list on both WarcraftLogs and WoWMeta. Only tier lists affected by opinion rate it higher, like u.gg, Archon, Icy Veins, etc. I know Augmentation does the least individual DPS of all "DPS" classes, but even Details now corrects this impression with the pale part of an Augmenter's damage, and those statistical tier lists don't make it sound like they're based purely on raw DPS throughput with the word "Score" rather than "DPS."
My guess is the hooks are still not accurate, and also its not played a ton at higher levels and even the higher end of say heroic parsing. But someone can fact check me and see if im right. But it requires a decent amount of work thats harder than most specs. Learning your teammates cooldowns, windowing them, moving into position for shifting sands, etc. I got 80-90 pases on heroic barely doing it right for fun the other day. I think if we don't have good hooks, and its hard, its so tough to know your actual impact. So it doesn't get as much play. I think its awesome, but we have theoretical numbers that show its def doing good work! But when logs and details can't show the picture super well? You're just believing the parse and details and hoping your impact was good. And not everyone will find that to feel good when they can go dev and have a reliable number. I didn't fact check this post, so I could be off or wrong on current aug raiding research. But I dont think much has changed since I last looked!
I've been debating on picking Aug back up next season because I was having lots of fun with it at one point. do you think there's any leeway to run the Time Skip/Tomorrow Today talent? I know having overall 10% CDR is huge and lets things sync up better overall, but having that HUGE window for bosses/big pulls was a really fun feeling and I definitely liked it better
There is literally almost no situation it’s better. It’s more ebon might up time and that alone is enough damage time skip isn’t worth. But I think it’s there for raid? Because two reasons. Smolderon has a weird rotation that time skip lets you line up with multiple dps cooldowns using time skip. It isn’t run anywhere else but let’s say you have a few banger dps at 2 minutes and most at 3 minutes. Time skip will let you window both at some point so if there is big damage to be had, you can provide. But in mythic it’s only smolderon. And I think if we could have a nerfed time skip with our interwoven threads I’d be happy because it’s so sick and I wanna use it T.T
18:50 confuses me - Using Prescience buffs the nearest ally (which also the tooltip says) but then you move forward to cast Firebreath for the Mastery aka. Shifting Sands to "buff the warrior". But the tooltip of Shifting Sands doesn't clarify which ally, also the nearest? A random one?
Hi Bowser, I have good uptime but some players (from area 52) say my dps is only 60-70K which is too low. I don’t get it? am I doing too low damage, I don’t really understand what I’m doing wrong since I’m doing exactly what you suggest. We timed a key with 10 minutes remaining and then the leader removed me from group and called me trash even though I intted lots of things and did the ghost affix a lot (at least half of them), as well as disrupted lots of casts with tail swipe and earthquake and I also rescued lots of people and saved us from dying/wiping multiple times, I also used Zephyr at opportune moments.
There is a very very very real chance they aren't great at the game and dont know what you actually do. Or don't know how to read detaiils, as if a group is bad the aug's projected damage looks insane... but if the aug does a huge setup correctly this also can happen. Bowser question about healers in s4 . What’s your take on Prevoker vs Resto Shaman. In Df I mained all 3 seasons Prevoker but feel sort of burned out on its play style. I was RS in Shadowlands and Wrath Classic and loving it so thinking about going back to it for retail but just don’t want to struggle in M+ keys. I know you have a video on all healers but I’d like your take on those two specifically. I pug 💯 in all my pve so I definitely have to take the best of those two into s4. Thanks for all you do 🙏
Do you think it's good to use my third prescience on the healer so they can heal more, or is it recommended to use it on the tank? This question is based on the third boss of HOI. Should I help the healer to heal more or give it to the tank so they do more DPS?
Not an optimization I think about too much as if the healing is that tough we can change our build to actually give them boosted heals. But I like the idea, esp for pugging. Give it to the healer. Tank damage is useful but more crit never hurts a healer. Esp the long ones if the timer isn’t tight but the heal checks are!

That’s my vtuber model from stream and it’s a long process and I can’t give a whole tutorial LOL. Vseeface is the program and I use an iPhone to face track as its best in class at tracking faces!
That’s a good number but because of pull length it doesn’t look hot if you’re holding ebon might and things die too fast. So aim for that number in 20+, but as long as it’s above 50-60 in 20+ you probably did fine! I know I’ve had runs where the damage was good but it was 60% uptime because tyrannical the mobs just exploded
So everything but talents. I plan on making a guide after my next video. So much to do as one UA-camr lol, but yes gameplan wise everything here works! Go find a way to talent into both that left and right side capstone talents, while getting time skip and the talent below that makes it passive. Fire breath level 1 or 2 (2 preferred) and then upheavel. But that is the only big change in rotation for now until you get to hero talents and those changes aren't too big. Ill go over it all but I wanted to make sure I could help you out while I wait!
Aug is a tough one, I absolutely will! But the reality is that I need to make sure nothing changes before season 1, and make a video with compatibility for changes. But I absolutely will!

Its in a balanced spot, its pretty fun, and like most things dont play it if you dont like it. And unless you are a top .1% title pusher (and even then, maybe more like .05) or a world first raider? No one should be forcing you on it, they are being weird dont play with weirdos if you can avoid it lol. There are issues like I wish some of the utility was in the evoker tree and less aug, and I wish shifting sands was more visible to know you're helping. I dont think anything on it is bad enough that it needs a complete re-work!

Dont think thats the right direction, knowing that press is aiming to be a more "modern" healer. I dont feel that's healthy, usually those buffing characters only tend to break games in whether they are top of the pack or the worse, and i feel thats not good. We can agree to disagree tho, the look and feel of time/earth is on point with the actual spells, but i really dont like what brings to the table (Even tho i play it too, feels nice but it shouldn't be that way). Okay the only issue I have with any of this is that it isn't a healer. I replaces a healer in some 4 DPS keys at high level, which has better solutions like making healers do more damage etc etc. I want healers to bring healing utility, class utility, and damage (because its fun and works well in the formula). Aug has a heal amp, and group defensives. Heal amp isn't taken unless its PvP or a hard carry group, and the breath of eons shield is dope but its a 2 min damage button so its more or less used like that. The numbers are also fine, its not at the bottom, nor the top right now. It has the potential to be very broken, for sure. But I don't think it will be hurting the healers at all. Esp if they take some of what it gives defensively away or modifies it to be more about helping healers. But we can disagree. And other than them breaking them with an insane tier set I have a feeling it wont be ruining the game again anytime soon, and we could bet on that!
This is going to sound very unlike me, I wish it was better. You lose so much damage you don’t really bring anything else and the run is typically slower. Have seen it in a 4 dps stack once and that made sense but sadly you give up way too much damage. I wonder if they give black attunement to all evoker if the healing stuff could be more central and easy to get that might be what makes it rad! But the tree is too tight rn for me to wanna grab it
@@Bowserthehealer I honestly understand, when I tested it out, the dungeon run was definitely longer because of the loss of damage. I hope the being support build gets a bit more love (though I can see how it can be too powerful).
I hate to say this, but seeing your VOD of playing Aug, you clearly have no idea how to keep the Prescience on your dps players going.. I mean situations like 5:51, there you have a good amount of time with it on one dps and the healer - without anything to heal. This is so much wasted potential.. especially since healers are usually our last target for it. in some Situations, you can use it on your healer, but these are rare and only when it is high incomming damage. So yeah, part of the Video is good, the explannations of the spell and the importants of Ebonmight, but as an Augplayer myself, it hurts to see that even Guides don´t care enough about Prescience..

Also I just use a macro so when I use damaging spell(for example eruption) it switches to black attunement so no need to press it separately

How do you feel about the healer focus build for Aug? (I think it's kinda fun for bursting weeks)
This is going to sound very unlike me, I wish it was better. You lose so much damage you don’t really bring anything else and the run is typically slower. Have seen it in a 4 dps stack once and that made sense but sadly you give up way too much damage. I wonder if they give black attunement to all evoker if the healing stuff could be more central and easy to get that might be what makes it rad! But the tree is too tight rn for me to wanna grab it
@@Bowserthehealer I honestly understand, when I tested it out, the dungeon run was definitely longer because of the loss of damage. I hope the being support build gets a bit more love (though I can see how it can be too powerful).

I hate to say this, but seeing your VOD of playing Aug, you clearly have no idea how to keep the Prescience on your dps players going.. I mean situations like 5:51, there you have a good amount of time with it on one dps and the healer - without anything to heal. This is so much wasted potential.. especially since healers are usually our last target for it. in some Situations, you can use it on your healer, but these are rare and only when it is high incomming damage. So yeah, part of the Video is good, the explannations of the spell and the importants of Ebonmight, but as an Augplayer myself, it hurts to see that even Guides don´t care enough about Prescience..
Agree always blow one and create new one spend it continue keep 1 up always for when starved

They do make runs smoother, until we need crazy good dps on tyran. I think they have their place in a comp, but they shouldn't be taken all the time.
When they buff damage, make healers lifes easier and tanks life easier all in one while having okayish personal damage, they're good on every comp
