Website is very helpful two thank you 😊!! Information is key to not only do a good job but to do it the right way that works out for everyone so thank the tips have helped me and I'm way more confident now going in on day one next week 😊being a dad it's never been more important to me to work and set a good role model for my kid so the tips go along way as do your video on UA-cam! Thank you
For those looking to be a porter. I absolutely love doing it. I would even go as far as saying it's the best job I've ever had. Be ready to walk long distances 22 miles on one shift is my record so far...🥵 If you can afford to; from day one, buy yourself a pair of DrMartens or something comfortable/memory foam insoles. If you have poor memory like me buy yourself a pocket size notepad/pen to write your jobs and other stuff down. If anyone has any questions I'm happy to try and answer them. 👍😎
Hi Rick, I am going for an interview this week for this role. I want to know what I am in for, did you get interviewed in front of a panel of people? I heard it is about 3. Your feedback will be much appreciated, I am nervous which I hate.
I live in Azerbaijan. I work as a porter in one of the hospitals in the capital Baku. May Allah Almighty make the work of all porters easy. InshaAllah!
Hi, I have seen a hospital porter job. How do you remember where everything is? As you have to transfer patients to different places around a hospital. I have terrible memory:(.
@@Truth_Seeker1 my hospital was 10 floors and the largest in my city. It took about 2 weeks to get everything down but the first week I shadowed other porters for every 12 hour shift before they let me lead while intervening if i had any questions. We had an assigned pager and iPhone that told us exactly where the patient is and where they need to go, you have about 20 minutes for each patient and doctors and nurses are everywhere to help!
@@mylesb5624 20 minutes to transfer each patient? Yes you would get told which area to take the patient from and to I was how did you manage to remember where everything is?
For those of you looking to be a Porter I would highly recommend! It's the best job I've ever had! I've been a Porter for nearly 2 years and I've loved every bit of it! One thing I would say is you need to be fit, otherwise you will find it tiring. Lot's of walking every single shift!
Thank you your help. I am successful to interview and get the hospital Porter job. I am a non English. Your interview questions and answer is very helpful. Hope you can make more questions and answers for other jobs and occupations. Help non-English background people to get the jobs. Thank you very much.

CareerVidz very usefull content today ia have my General Porter NHS interview at Royal Marsden Hospital im still trying if im not succeed, tomorrow i have another one at the same place but different role i will give you a feedback soon
I wanted to be a Porter as I’ve always wanted to a job where I’m always doing something and on my feet not sat in an office always wanted to work in a hospital but I heard Porter is at the bottom and not good money? I’d like to be able to get worm at a hospital and work my way up any recommendations?
I don't think porter is at the bottom. I think it's a great place to start because you can always work up from there. If the hospital sees you are good at being a porter, it should be easier to get a different job later. Go for it! Please would you SUBSCRIBE to my channel? I'd very much appreciate your support. Is it possible to get this job whilst having no prior or relevant experience?
Yes, there are routes for this :)
I would like to buy it, but I don't want into subscriptions paying £32/month, how can I not to include that, why it's appeared on the check out,
It's a 30 day free trial to my masterclass you can cancel it immediately :) As long as you cancel within 30 days there is no membership fee :)
I have an interview for operating theatre porter, but I am struggling to remember these answers as there are so many possible questions. Loo
