I'm white and when Dave Chapelle made jokes about white ppl u know what I did... fucking laugh he's hilarious!! Idgaf if it's funny it's funny I don't take it personally and none of u should too
I swear if Dave Chappell's comedy, and anybody similar to he's comedy was released five years ago, nobody would be talking about "offensive jokes" are not permitted in comedy
Theodore Williams shit do you remeber eddie Murphy's specials both of them were homophobic as hell i dont remember anybodie making a huge ass fuss over it
Dave Chappelle has never been PC. Apparently those who decided to get offended are completely unfamiliar with his previous work. IMO, Dave is the greatest comedian of our time. At this point, there probably inst anything that could come out of his mouth that I'd consider too far. The last thing we need is a legend like Dave rethinking parts of his routine or funny comments he might make out of fear of backlash.
A woman like that who blatantly makes up an assault is just as much as a criminal as actual sexual assaulters in my opinion. People like her are the reason why women who are actually raped are not taken seriously and subsequently why their rapists are not criminally prosecuted.
Women like this make me sick, as a person who has had bad shit happen to them as a kid and the monster went free I want these women in jail for more than 180 days of cushy US jails time. This is why I have no women friends.
Ashley Blanchard. Cool so you've witnessed every sexual assault? If you're just going by prosecution stats then thats pretty idiotic. Its widely known the prosecution system is extremely biased in favor of women.
Briana (however you spell her name) Deserves prison time. She not only destroyed her own image, she now made it harder for actual victims to seek help. People like her are disgusting..
I think he should be applauded, I personally think comedy is meant to be audience based and to have people laugh at themselves. If you don't like it don't listen to the jokes they tell. I love Dave Chappelle's work because he tells he sees it is no bs and no political correctness. If they don't like it they can stop watching ,but trying to guilt trip people into not listening to something is wrong. Let people make their own minds up don't say he is homophobic let them make that assessment when they watch it. This is why I dislike SJWs and LGBT pushers since they try to tell people what to think and that is something that is not only wrong but its borderline facism. Maybe an LGBT person might think it was funny ,maybe they don't take a joke personally and take it for what it is: a joke. I wish they would just report the reviews and never mix politics with these things and just say its controversial and leave it at that. That way you don't go watching it with the bais of well they said he hated gay people. Ya the news also said trump would never be president but look at the pile of bullcrap we are covering in now thanks to their bais toward helping Hillary try to win and almost making sure Trump won by supporting her so bluntly.
Paul Sherwoood Yes! :) He handled it fairly sensitively, people need to choose their battles like they choose their gender. oooh edgy joke but jk just everyone chill
Paul Sherwoood No comedy is alot closer to reality, Thats the thing we've got the roles reversed. If you're living in a bubble you're not living in reality no matter how big the bubble is and how many are in it with you. Dave is simply poking at that bubble and these freaks cant handle it, Its gettting to ridicules i cant take these people seriously anymore they're nothing less than freaks to me.
Oli The Sweed oh Oli. First of all the greatest comics of all time consistently say the things that most wont. Carlin, cook, burr, Louis CK. Etc. Thats what makes them hilarious. They have no regard for feelings because they dont believe the shit they say. They say outlandish shit to make people think outside the "normal realm" and the greatest thing about people and especially people in the nation is your views of thinking their 'freaks' doesnt say anything other than your just some ignorant moron who feels anyone even gives a shit about what you think or feel lol. Go fuck yourself.
I came down here looking for this one >_> The last one that involved black people being violent that turned out to be fake, coincidentally, involved another white female self-inflicting injuries and saying she was beat up IIRC. Trying to not be racist, but that is what I remember.
Well, Jew know, we do sometimes have a sense of humor... when we aren't verklempt because our tuchus hurts because people said mean things about that nice Adam Sandler boy... < - Read all of that in a New York Jewish grandmother's accent XD;;;
How do you fit 10 Jews into a VW Beatle? ... IN THE ASHTRAY! Yeah, you aren't really that original. I'd work on your standup routine to polish it up a little before you put out an add to be hired for Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties. (I'm sure the local mosque will help you out there. ;) Do you even KNOW how many words rhyme with 'Kaffir' in English? Or nejis? You can do a funny rap about us!)
Boy, you must be out your damn mind if you think I don't LOVE me some fried chicken. I literally just made fried chicken tonight for dinner in my deep fryer. I'm from DETROIT, we take our soul food seriously, no matter what color we are. I might not eat chitterlings or pork feet, but fried okra is a Jew food too... Collard greens, mustard greens, baked mac & cheese, sweet potato pie, fried chicken, grits... Soul food is LIFE. #DETROITPRIDE313 ;)
This PC culture of 2017 is destroying comedy. Comedians say controversial jokes in order to take people out of their comfort zone so that they can let loose and laugh. Everything famous people say is looked at through a magnifying glass to see if there's anything people can get triggered about, and like you said, this society is filled with people who get offended for others who may or may not get offended. It's stupid, its ruining comedy, and it's run by idiots that want to burn it all down.
How much you wanna bet like one person made a video ranting about it and then someone anti-pc made a video ranting about ALL the pc culture people bitching about his comedy. Meanwhile the normal people are just like wtf..uh..we all know what his comedy's like..if you don't wanna watch it don't...
MaSTAR Media while yes I feel that people are becoming to PC and yes it is highly annoying but in this case I have to disagree personally I am part of the LGBTQ+ community what he said is not just a joke about it it is blatantly what many non comedian homophobics say but it's ok got his as it's just a joke he is getting away with what others don't because people say anyone offended is overly pc but that's personally just my opinion and it's not that it annoys or upsets me but it's just not right
PC culture is destroying our culture as a whole not just comedy, let's not kid ourselves, when people start using the law and violence to try and silence people who they find offensive we have a serious problem. The examples like Dave here are simply ripples in the pond. Look at guys like Milo, like the incident at UCBerkley. There's a sensitivity problem and it's not just affecting comedy.
Priest Right?! it's satire. if people don't like it then they don't have to watch it. the only thing I do hate is that white comedians can't joke about race.
I'm happy you touched on what rape victims face on a daily basis because people like to deny that it happened and victim blame. Also, when situations like this happen (the girl lying about being raped), it makes people deny rape and victim blame more. Whenever I share my story, I always get people who don't believe me because I am a woman who was raped by another woman. Of course, before they find out it was a woman who raped me, they ask what I was wearing and how I was acting. It's ridiculous how many people instantly turn to blame the person who was hurt instead of the person who did the hurting.
I am gay and don't care what is said in comedy about lgbtq+, race, gender etc. as long as it doesn't come back to how you treat people in the real world out of comedy.
I respect that. I feel like the vast majority of people, even if not personally in favour of homosexuality, dont care about it as long as it doesnt interfere with their lives, and it should be the same in reverse. This type of needless outrage is what gives the gay community a bad rap.
That's ridiculous. I'm sorry but those who fake being raped/sexual assaulted/molested are garbage. Women have a hard time trying to validate that it has happened to them it's not even funny. What's even more fucked up is that if you look up how many registered offenders are in your area it's scary!! Like my god these women who pull this shit should be in jail for a VERY long time.
Yep but if we can't even get the people who have been accused of raping women to go to jail how do we expect men to come forward? Men have always shamed other men for this stuff. Progress starts somewhere.
If any comedy special should get outrage it's Amy Schumer's. That 'special' was god-awful and, to me, it seems PROBLEMATIC that criticism against her is just "alt-right trolling" to be ignored, and then criticism against Chappelle is in the name of political correctness? I blame it on those damn KIDS TODAY, didn't spend their formidable years watching the Chappelle show and understanding his humor.
Boullion Cube you blame it on "today's kids" but who do you think raised those children? If anything today's young adults and teens are significantly more sarcastic and dark-humored than any generation.
Dang, maybe I need to work on my keyboard sarcasm because I didn't think that's what would be the take-away from my comment lol. But, any younger person (that I've encountered anyway) who seems to be offended by what he's saying never really watched him since he was gone for 10 years. You are right though, they also had helicopter parents or college professors telling that that everything is 'problematic' and offensive. It makes me wonder what will be considered offensive in another 10 year stretch.
Do you think a UA-cam comment is that serious? Seriously? :) I was more making a point that since he's been gone for so long, a LOT of people are either unfamiliar or forgot about his style of humor.
As someone who is bi I found what Dave Chappelle said was really funny because I understand that it's meant for comedic purposes, and I actually enjoy it when comedians make fun of the LGBT community because it makes me feel included in the joke.
That's the whole point, and I think he had a skit like that in a previous special, where a gay, deaf, and physically challenged person was in the audience (in the front row) and he had already hit everybody else on the floor. I can't remember how many identity labels the person in that skit had, other than being in the wheelchair, or if it was actually Chappelle, but the point was that they were there for the jokes, not exclusion.
scitechian you are talking about the turner case? That case was handle the way it was, because the person who should have persecuted him never showed up. Also her comment on the matter did not help him to stay in jail either. i am not saying its good that he got shorter sentence, all im saying is that justice system have its way of doing things, and you cannot expect maximum punishment in that environment.
Nnnnno, no. No rape victim would agree to that, it would be making light of their own circumstances. When they implicate a specific person or people however, they should be punished more severely for smearing the reputation of the accused.
Phoebe Sulistio It doesn't matter if actual rape victims agree, people who falsely claim rape should be punished just like rapists (my opinion). You can't control rape and you can't control false accusations. Some rapists DON'T get jail or prison time, especially if they're under the age of 18 or 16 years of age. But most female rapists don't get punished either. Falsely accusing rape, whether it there were no suspects, if they say it was a black or white male or female those races would get hated upon for a false claim. If no one was specified and they admitted they faked it, no one would take a rape victim seriously. Most lie to get attention or hurt a race or person, and if they're going to do that, they need to be punished.
It really did seem out of place. I don't know why he didn't say "those claims" instead of "those tweets". But it really is depressing to think about how our president uses twitter to make statements like that. I think Trump has a serious ego problem and gets off on getting attention on twitter.
Trump needs a strong ego to battle the Deep State and Controlled Media nexus that's hell-bent on destroying him, and uses Twitter to bypass such in getting his message to the people.
It took me years to tell anyone that I had been raped. The first thing my mom said is what where you wearing? When I said jeans and a jersey she then asked how much I had to drink. Oh then I found out she was still talking to my rapist because he was such a nice guy. Girls like this need to stop this bullshit it is not something to lie about.
You know what, I'm so beat down by people crying hate over every fucking thing. People have the right to offend you, this is the world you live in. If you don't like it take the next fucking exit.
Hello Phillip, So I have seen a little "vote system" by other news channels I'm watching, wich was located on the little "i" layout in the top right corner that reveals when clicking on it. I was just thinking that it would be a really cool feature to have on this channel as it would involve the community directly, for example, you were asking if 180 days are enough, here a vote for yes or no would have been pretty cool in my opinion, hope this reaches out to you ;D Greetings, a random flashlight
100% am so sickened by women in particular that lie about rape, sexual assault in general. Your so right that real victims suffer in the end and what the actual fuck is wrong with people? Your really that attention seeking?.. Just.. wow. There should be more severe punishment for lying to the police and filing false reports...
There was a reason and I think she is pregnant with a black kid. If she is and this went through, when could blame her adultery on false rape and if its white all is all right. I see more woman fake rape reports from where I am from and sick of it too but nothing we can do since we should investigate every single one. I just hate how some false cases go through when trying to convict a man and some innocent guy goes to jail. There was one story about a guy who got a year in prison for being accused and no evidence was found. The girl confessed later and got 30 days but the guy's mom thought her son was a rapist and committed suicide in prison. Woman now of days because of lots of reasons are just not worth it and I guess thats why marriage is declining so much as well.
ninjaguy2511 I am sure there are many reasons why marriage is declining. For one people just don't have the same values anymoreand don't view marriage the same way. Your right that every case should be investigated but there are so many rape kits taken in these big cities and all over that are never even tested that it is awful to think about. Sadly I can think of at least two other cases off the top of my head that men were falsely imprisoned who later tuened out to be innocent because the women confessed...and if I remember correctly one of those women didn't even get any prison time...
Samantha Gosnell Are you sickened by anything else? I don't know, like racism, men who rape, etc. Things that matter a little be bit more. Which is worst, rapists, or people who falsely accuse rape?
exactly so many cases now its dumb and makes the real rape victims look bad. I wish people know that they should not attention seek or try to fuck someone over with false rape accusations.
First, let me say that I didn't watch the special. I'm just hear to offer some perspective that hasn't been circulating much (as far as I can tell) in this comment section. One thing about comedy that everyone must remember is that it is subjective and that context is extremely important. What is funny to one will not always be funny to another. Once people choose to make a joke about a specific group, they effectively make one about every member of it. Now so a trans that decided to to watch him perform live or watch him on Netflix may have a blast. They entered/watched with the intent to hear his comedy, and understand the context surrounding it. Another trans, sitting at home flipping through facebook and accidentally stumbling on an article describing his show may not be as effective. Context is lost, as well as the humorous environment (for a lack of a better word choice). In the end, a reaction such as the one that happened to Chappelle is an inevitable, and a reasonably expected one.
+Echo Echo I support what you're saying. Comedy is definitely subjective, and the views of one member of a group shouldn't be used to reflect the entirety of the group. Chappele's humor doesn't appeal to everyone. I haven't seen the special myself, and have no desire to, as I don't think his comedy would appeal to me. But I completely support his right to say whatever he wants to. Censorship is a big issue, and comedy is a very grey area, with people pushing the line between humor and just plain being an asshole. But comedy is always evolving, views are always changing, and people should be allowed to say what they want to. That being said, I have what may be considered a "nitpick" to some. To me, it's actually kind of a big deal. In your comment, you used "trans" as a noun. It would be like saying "a black watched it," "an old watched it," or "a fat watched it," etc. Trans is an adjective, and using it the way you did just strips people down to their transness, as if that's all that defines them as a person. Many people may think this isn't worth pointing out, but it's something I care about. I'm not ordering you to change your language, just pointing out that grammatically, it's incorrect, and emotionally, it can be hurtful.
Whoa, wait, is everyone just gonna ignore the part where Dave Chapelle says he supports the LGBTQ movement?? Or the part where he labels himself a feminist and says he wants to see women succeed and not be held back by their gender??? In no way do I support or condone any hate, homophobia, or sexism but the thing to remember is that all the "offensive" things Chapelle was saying was from a comedic perspective, they were jokes. At least for me, I didn't perceive the tone or the delivery of his set to be at all aggressive. He was even making fun of himself at certain points in the show and I think that people just need to learn to laugh at themselves every now and then and not take everything so seriously. Just take in the context and pick your battles wisely people.
Wow. So Dave Chappelle's a "problematic person" for doing the same kind of comedy he's been doing for what? Over a DECADE now?! The only thing problematic here is the mental health of these people ... and that's coming from a superhero in training. Get yourself a good therapist and learn how to laugh at yourselves every now and again. It's good for you.
He isn't as good with stand up as he use to be but man, I love his jokes. He picks on every race and orientation. His comedy makes us all laugh at eachother and every ridiculous stereotype out there. Fuck yo couch
Anyone who saw Dave Chappelle's episode on "Inside the Actors Studio" shouldn't be surprised by his gay and trans comments. With that said, the only way I could NOT like Chappelle is if we found out he was running an ISIS training camp or someshit. I love the guy.
The comedy special was brilliant. Somehow I expected Chappelle would get a pass because I don't remember people getting super outraged about his show back then, but I guess I was wrong. He made fun of everyone equally.
People are stupid in every way possible. We cannot win. That is what George Carlin would elude to. Me? I'm a bit more optimistic. More people need to speak logically on a larger scale. I hope to help victims and skeptics alike get past the unnecessary and uneducated ideologies.
@Arianagrande Stan it's not a irrational fear and it's not hate it's a joke. You talk more about race then actual racist do in this conversation. Race only matters to weirdos like you and racist when it comes to jokes. So quit being weak and talking about race like it matters in this situation.
I really like the people who get triggered over channels like Vet Ranch for posting video's of surgeries and flag the shit out of all their video's...when their video's are helping raise money for an organization to save homeless animals. Yes, they're *_totally_* doing the world a favor. Plus why the fuck would you even watch video's made by *_Veterinarians_* who even post disclaimers in their video that graphic shit is in their video's if you can't handle graphic shit?!
Dave Chappelle is not for everyone and you don't like his comedy don't watch. Has everyone forgot this the man that brought us Clayton Bigsby and Niggas family?
People hating on Dave Chappelle is the reason conservatives call liberals snowflakes, people being able to take a joke in stride nowadays seems to be a skill. Hell I should start putting it on my resume.
Frodo Baggins I'm not 100% familiar with the controversy around David, but I can understand if it's just people disagreeing with his views. That's fine, and natural. However, I do agree angry rants may not be the best way to go about it. Still, plenty of people criticize comedians like David Cross, and they are free to do so. And I think the reason people don't get as upset Louis CK (who is the only one of your list I'm familiar with) is because, as far as I can tell, he is offensive to the point where it is ridiculous, and he obviously doesn't believe in, say, pedophilia being ok.
Pat Lapton I agree. I would actually recommend you go watch Jimmy Carr's video on the most offensive joke ever. It's really funny. Same with Jim Jeffries video on gun control, it's great!
Comedian's entire careers rest on pushing boundaries. Dave Chapelle, Kevin Hart, Louis C.K., Gabriel Iglesias, and so many others are hilarious and successful because they aren't afraid to say what they want. Whether it be making jokes about gay people, jokes about abusive relationships, jokes about child molestation, obesity and how people do it to themselves. Like you said, you take off your real world hat when you go to see a comedian, when you watch them on television performing, or their specials on other platforms.
ahmed moussa , have you ever really listened to their shows? Kevin Hart in more than one of his shows that I've watched makes jokes towards abusive relationships that he's been in. Gabriel Iglesias makes jokes about being obese and how he would rather be unhealthy and happy than healthy and unhappy. To a good amount of people in the world abuse relationships aren't something to joke about, and neither is obesity. But they still do it. It's not as in your face as child molestation, but it's something to get people riled up about if they don't have basic understanding of comedians.
People should lighten up - there are so many types of comedians, if one offends you - don't go see him or listen to him; it reminds me of people who go see cartoons and study them for offensive art or crock like that - really!!!
Dan The Llama True, as long as the person is genuinely funny and not just one of those loud idiots who's trying to be funny and failing hard. Chappell is hilarious
I do not agree. That guy, Tosh is not my cup of tea. He is abrasive & low brow. While there is something about Dave, Louis, the self depreciating humor but intellectual, you know they aren't just pointing & making insults. A great comic is a surgeon. I bad one, is a butcher.
THAT is what's wrong with everyone these days...incapable of laughing at themselves or having anyone make fun of something they like or feel strongly about. They take to social media and spew their outrage.
its only the radical left which is a good amount of liberals now of days that are offended along with LGBTQ since they get triggered over anything. People know not all gay\bi\trans people are as stupid as the people triggered over this or that riot in the streets like kids having baby tantrum.
SODIEPOP P To you*. Any joke is funny if told well. If you want to get professionally offended go apply for a job at Twitter so you can have a ban hammer for opinions and jokes.
Yeah mate as long as we don't cater to all their demands, unfortunately, the government and companies have been weak and listening to a lot of their shit, firing people, and changing based on that whining
Wow. Left, right and upside-down? What about the backwards people? The rightside-up? I thought in this day and age we were past such bigotry. I'm so sorry, that was terrible.
I like how at the beginning of the special he says "if you are being sensitive you aren't going to make it to the end of the show" It was a great special!
Lefty here. The Dave Chapelle comedy specials are spectacular. He is clearly joking and even just talking about issues in such a way (through comedy) helps to de-value the real people who are anti-gay/anti-trans because it's absurd the things he finds wrong with the LGBTQ community
Under the story of comedy, I'm right with Phil. I feel comedians should be allowed to push the line, although I don't think we can fault those that get upset. Often people who get upset about comedy are discredited as snowflakes, and I understand why. But, we have to remember that for whatever reason it is, that joke drew to close to home for them. And it upset them. They're allowed to be upset because their most likely hurting and implicitly taking it out on the comedian. I ultimately don't think its the comedians fault, nor is it the people who get upsets fault. It's just an unfortunate situation, and we should all have a conversation about it.
I agree, a lot of people take it to the point of censorship. And I think thats messed up. But I think if someones upset about something they have should have the right to express that. (Even if it's for dumb reasons)
Barry C. problem is that a lot of the upset people arent even lgbtq, they are just hearing that someone is saying something that offends someone and they want to get their own share of offended
Gotta love Dave Chappelle for having the balls to use whatever comedy material he wants without being afraid of hurting the feelings of those snowflakes. People need to grow up and learn to laugh at themselves.
Personally I think the punishment for false reporting should be 6 months to 1 year in prison without early release plus a large fine and restitution for the wasted time. I think this is severe enough to make people think twice about false reporting and teach them a lesson should they do it anyway.
TheJjcczz when someone goes to jail for rape, the average sentece is 10 to 15 years. with a false acusation of rape you are sending a inocent to jail for over a decade. So, you know what, 10 to 15 yeas should also be the sentence for false acusation of rape.
Natan Alves Falsely reporting a rape and sending an innocent person to jail are two separate crimes. If someone false reported a rape and got someone sent to prison it wouldn't just be classified as false reporting it would also be considered framing. And depending on how far the framing went would result in a several charges with more severe punishments. My recommendation is only for people who falsely report rape and not for people who frame other people for crimes they didn't commit. If I were to make a recommendation for someone who framed another person it would be that they receive either half of whatever sentence the person they framed got or the full sentence depending on the circumstances. So for example if someone was framed for rape then whoever framed them would either get 5-10 years or 10-15 years depending on things like wether or not they confessed or if they didn't confess and instead got caught.
Phil, you got your info wrong. I'll explain it to you. The problem was that those incidental recordings on private citizens that included people within Trump's team (likely Trump himself) were then requested to be and were UNMASKED even though the information incidentally gathered had no bearing on foreign intelligence and didn't meet the legal requirements to be unmasked. Tons of us have our info recorded by the government. Phil, you and I may have even had a phone call or internet communication recorded incidentally, but we are protected as citizens. Our identities and info are masked to keep it private. It is still out there though. Now imagine someone talks to someone with access to masked information and specifically asks them to UNMASK all info in regard to Phil DeFranco and provide that info to them...without providing a legal reason to justify that release of information and conversations you've had? That's what happened here. Someone specifically requested info to be unmasked that had no bearing on foreign intelligence.
Talus Tanat First of all, as if this wasn't obvious, there's still absolutely no proof of any connections with this and Obama. NONE AT ALL. Secondly the information on the US citizens with ties to Trump were collected INCIDENTALLY, meaning that they WEREN'T the target of the surveillance but foreigners (as Nunes disclosed himself), he did say that there were no Russian ties, but he didn't say who the target of the surveillance was. So not only was neither Trump nor any US citizen with ties to him and the presidential election spied on, it had NOTHING to do with Obama. Thirdly it was all LEGAL due to FISA (foreign intelligence security agency). The information garnered were OBVIOUSLY then reviewed by the intelligence community. They didn't need the approval of someone from the White House to do so. And never once did Nunes say that a request from the White House came for these details to be unmasked. And the intelligence community doesn't need such a request or approval to review info gained while surveilling a foreign party LEGALLY. It only becomes illegal when they leak this information to, say, the White House (the president himself or his administratives) or the media, for example. So once again, no ties to Obama, the Trump associates weren't even the target of the surveillance and it was all legal.
Think that if that girl's rape case ended up coming across a suspect and that person went to trial, they'd probably be convicted and imprisoned for quite a while, and then when they got out labeled as a sex offender for the rest of their lives, meanwhile the poor person would be sitting there, wondering why the hell that happened to them since they didn't do anything wrong.
That's not just that case, i'd bet she was trying to do that to her ex, If she even had one.. Honestly, these femnazi's and SJW's are really getting on my damn nerves.
Steve Hicks it happens all the freaking time. falsely imprisoned people for not just rape, but theft, drugs, violence, thousands are currently in jail right now despite evidence showing they did not commit said crime.
I grew up watching Chappelle's Show, watching his stand up. Do I agree with everything he says? No, but you don't have to, its comedy. Laugh at the jokes you like, don't laugh at the ones you don't. The over sensitivity of people today is absurd.
I don't think Dave is homophobic at all. Like all great comedians, he shatters dominant narratives and turns them on their head. "Defending" Bill Cosby's horrifying behavior is nothing less than brilliant comedy. People who are offended need to switch on their brains ability to perceive irony. Good God, who would want to live in a universe where Dave Chappelle (and Louis CK, and South Park, and Jim Norton, and George Carlin, and Bill Hicks) didn't exist? Not me.
People like Branna make is hard for Black people and Rape victims not to mention that type of person keeps the division going. She should have did jail time for 6 months if you ask me.
PHILIP DEFRANCO IS SO PROBLEMATIC! UNSUBSCRIBED!!!
Happy Thursday Nation.
Philip DeFranco hi
Philip DeFranco Dave Chappelle fucking rules.
agree
I'm so early... comedy is always getting heat.. satire satire satire
Philip DeFranco what
I'm white and when Dave Chapelle made jokes about white ppl u know what I did... fucking laugh he's hilarious!! Idgaf if it's funny it's funny I don't take it personally and none of u should too
Showtime_Kick123 wooooo, a fellow Jk fan
But if a white man made black jokes he would be crucified.
Decion Coldsteel nah not for real man
Some people just have thin skin. I need to go back and watch his show now.
Why can't people take things less seriously?
I swear if Dave Chappell's comedy, and anybody similar to he's comedy was released five years ago, nobody would be talking about "offensive jokes" are not permitted in comedy
Theodore Williams Because the swjs of the world get their panties in a twist and don't want anything put up they enjoy even if it's well received
Theodore Williams shit do you remeber eddie Murphy's specials both of them were homophobic as hell i dont remember anybodie making a huge ass fuss over it
Theodore Williams Right. He's saving comedy. Comedy isn't politically correct like they have tried to push on other comics.
Theodore Williams Don't be illusioned. PC culture has existed for QUITE a while. The thing is that it's getting BIGGER in the last few years.
A woman like that who blatantly makes up an assault is just as much as a criminal as actual sexual assaulters in my opinion. People like her are the reason why women who are actually raped are not taken seriously and subsequently why their rapists are not criminally prosecuted.
People like her are also the reason millions of men have their life destroyed by the false allegations. Women always gotta make themselves the victim.
Less then 2% of all reported sexual assaults are false. Less then 2%.
Women like this make me sick, as a person who has had bad shit happen to them as a kid and the monster went free I want these women in jail for more than 180 days of cushy US jails time. This is why I have no women friends.
Women who lie make the other larger number of actual sexual assault victims a big problem for police or the public to believe them.
Ashley Blanchard. Cool so you've witnessed every sexual assault? If you're just going by prosecution stats then thats pretty idiotic. Its widely known the prosecution system is extremely biased in favor of women.
People who make false rape accusations are the scum of the scum
Christ, no. Fuck that's an awful thing to wish on someone
Briana (however you spell her name) Deserves prison time. She not only destroyed her own image, she now made it harder for actual victims to seek help. People like her are disgusting..
YES. Thank you. Couldn't agree more.
+TheEverSerene I'm happy I am not the only one who feels this way :P
Emily Squeak3rs I'm with you too, girl 👏
Emily Squeak3rs but the unfortunate truth is she probably won't get any prison time
So many men have been wrongfully sentenced because of false rape claims, and the feminists say "you should always believe her". It makes me sick
Dave did nothing wrong. He's a comedian. Its his job to push the limits.
If a comedian hurts you're feelings then you've got a tough road ahead.
Ryan Powell LOL
Ryan Powell Exactly how can they expect to survive in the real world.
Ryan Powell "that's what the 'T' in 'LGBTQ' should stand for"
Just think about it in the 50s three random black dudes probably would have been lynched for that girls lies.
james d Yea but guess what? It's 2017, not the 50s. :-)
james d he was making a point idiot
It sounds a hell of a lot like How to Kill a Mockingbird
Times change. Dave Chappelle hasn't, and for that, I love him.
Victor Galarza
Definitely a classic. I wish that got as big as his Rick James skits did.
am I
You can always tell which stories are bullshit by the way Phil's voice changes.
love that about him
yeah i had a feeling from the start that the girl's story was going to end up as fake
haha I thought same. Still really hoped I was wrong though...
After watching so many of his videos you can just tell its amazing.
I hate people that criticize and over-analyze comedy. It completely ruins the joke.
truth
I dislike anyone who dislikes Dave Chapelle.
localfox1000
you don't have to dislike a person to feel like they did wrong
And you also dislike gay people
localfox1000 I didn't like that at all. This is not what this site represents. I don't want any of this goddamn thing in my vicinity
Prolly cause your a groupie
Totally agree about Chappele. Comedy is not reality. Fair game for all
Paul Sherwoood Yes! :) He handled it fairly sensitively, people need to choose their battles like they choose their gender.
oooh edgy joke
but jk
just everyone chill
I am 100% with on the Dave Chappelle comedy. i never take comedy seriously. IT'S ALL JOKES.
Also, why the hell are ISIS videos allowed on UA-cam in the first place. shouldn't videos promoting terrorism and/or hate be automatically removed?
Cab00se23 fr tho y is Abdul allowed to teach jihad on YT, but famous YTers ,like JonTron, get in trouble about have a right-wing beliefs
Ya they were jokes, but they were shit and fell flat.
triggered much >:)
It was hilarious
2:45 u know the report gonna be fake when Phil starts talking in that voice
Aylien Real estate yep
Aylien Real estate true
I came down here looking for this one >_> The last one that involved black people being violent that turned out to be fake, coincidentally, involved another white female self-inflicting injuries and saying she was beat up IIRC. Trying to not be racist, but that is what I remember.
Aylien Real estate haha, right? I knew by his tone that the woman was lying. you can hear a bit of his soul leaving his body.
I'm a Jew who laughs at Jew jokes. I side with comics every time.
I remember the days where people knew that a comedy show was all in good fun.
Good on jew.
Well, Jew know, we do sometimes have a sense of humor... when we aren't verklempt because our tuchus hurts because people said mean things about that nice Adam Sandler boy... < - Read all of that in a New York Jewish grandmother's accent XD;;;
I'm offended when you call me a "beautiful bastard"... because goddamit I'm not beautiful! GET IT RIGHT
Tobias guess what ..... ? your fucking beautiful
Tobias I agree, I'm ugly and proud damn it!
HernandezNC, i am OFFENDED cuz Tobias isn't as beautiful as me!
JRealGhetto your way better looking especially since you have Smack as your profile pic 💪🏼
smrrrrack! naamsayiiin
MaSTAR Media I could not agree more with i have 100% the same opinion as you
Triggered = butt hurt*
I fucking love Dave Chappelle.
(in fact I'm gonna go watch him now - thanks triggered ass people)
Priest Right?! it's satire. if people don't like it then they don't have to watch it. the only thing I do hate is that white comedians can't joke about race.
It's ridiculous how many people instantly turn to blame the person who was hurt instead of the person who did the hurting.
people are so easily offended today
NO WE'RE NOT!!!! FUCK YOUUUUUUU!!!!!!
genuine LOL, ty
dean p I CANT BELIEVE YOU DARE ASSUME MY TRIGGERED LEVELS
YOUR COMMENTS OFFEND ME!!!
I am gay and don't care what is said in comedy about lgbtq+, race, gender etc. as long as it doesn't come back to how you treat people in the real world out of comedy.
THE APPLES ARE COMING !!!!!!!!!!! Makes me wonder who really has a stick up their asses if even you guys aren't treating this like a serious issue.
Same. People get so fucking up their own asses and sensitive.
Like my god these women who pull this shit should be in jail for a VERY long time.
perfectlybroken women AND men
perfectlybroken a false rape allegation can ruin a man's life
Didn't I just say the women that pull this crap should be in jail?? They should be.
Yep but if we can't even get the people who have been accused of raping women to go to jail how do we expect men to come forward? Men have always shamed other men for this stuff. Progress starts somewhere.
True but use family watch dog.com.... it will specify the people in your vicinity have been guilty of rape
Blame it on the the parents of the last 20 years they made these bunch of pussy children.
Boullion Cube yeah women should stay out of conedy
Thx man don't worry we all know everyone is different and those LGBT activists don't represent all gays/bis, even though they think they do
That's the whole point, and I think he had a skit like that in a previous special, where a gay, deaf, and physically challenged person was in the audience (in the front row) and he had already hit everybody else on the floor. I can't remember how many identity labels the person in that skit had, other than being in the wheelchair, or if it was actually Chappelle, but the point was that they were there for the jokes, not exclusion.
I feel like people who make fake rape allegations should be punished as much as rapists.
So, 3-5 years on paper, but back out on the streets in 6 months?
scitechian you are talking about the turner case? That case was handle the way it was, because the person who should have persecuted him never showed up. Also her comment on the matter did not help him to stay in jail either. i am not saying its good that he got shorter sentence, all im saying is that justice system have its way of doing things, and you cannot expect maximum punishment in that environment.
Nnnnno, no. No rape victim would agree to that, it would be making light of their own circumstances. When they implicate a specific person or people however, they should be punished more severely for smearing the reputation of the accused.
Yea
100% with Dave Chapelle
What if this is actually Kobe Bryant but no one believes you.....
Kobe Bryant well.... he's mostly in the right.
thank god you sided with Chapelle on this one.
A comedian made a provocative joke? What horrible world do we live in?/s
Luckmaker ikr. all humanity is lost! nooooo!
Luckmaker lmao it's easier to break in a fuckin vault than make a joke and not offend anyone nowadays lol
It is easy to make a joke and not offend anyone these days. It is impossible to make a funny joke and not offend anyone these days.
Luckmaker why do u have a meme from like 2007
I feel somewhat sad that professionals must use the word "tweets" in official statements.
I feel like running into CNN HQ and just yelling, "THEY'RE F**KING TWEETS!!"
That Dave Chappelle show sounds hilarious, gonna go watch it now.
AH-64D Apache Longbow one of the most raw and best comedians out there.
VainBadKitty x I am sorry you had to go through that and people like that belittle your situation just for attention, it's despicable
VainBadKitty x people like that referring to the girl in the news today
VainBadKitty x ❤
That's rough... I hope you're doing okay now. And yes, your point is 100% correct.
liars
You know what, I'm so beat down by people crying hate over every fucking thing. People have the right to offend you, this is the world you live in. If you don't like it take the next fucking exit.
Adam b-b-b-but my feelings!
Wow that escalated quickly.. they should just kill themselves huh? Seems like you need to let out some of that rage yourself
EgyptianGod0 purge ..
Aww, are you offended?
Adam offend me please, daddy
Hello Phillip,
So I have seen a little "vote system" by other news channels I'm watching, wich was located on the little "i" layout in the top right corner that reveals when clicking on it. I was just thinking that it would be a really cool feature to have on this channel as it would involve the community directly, for example, you were asking if 180 days are enough, here a vote for yes or no would have been pretty cool in my opinion, hope this reaches out to you ;D
Greetings, a random flashlight

Flashlight _ good idea!!
sounds neet
^^ no problem :D I like that pun honestly :)
Everyone is always so damn offended. Can't handle words being said anymore. Damn political correctness is ruining society.
I HATE when people take a comedians jokes and make it TEXT! It's all about the delivery! FFS
Chris Ramsay Love seeing creators I follow comment on other channels.
Samantha Gosnell
Are you sickened by anything else? I don't know, like racism, men who rape, etc. Things that matter a little be bit more. Which is worst, rapists, or people who falsely accuse rape?
exactly so many cases now its dumb and makes the real rape victims look bad. I wish people know that they should not attention seek or try to fuck someone over with false rape accusations.
your a dumbass, both are problems and lots of men get falsely accused and put in jail and thats a problem. Not a competition over problems at all.
People who get offended by comedians doing comedy offend me
First, let me say that I didn't watch the special.
Echo Echo +
Alexander fr I hate how sensitive and ignorant the world seems to be today.
Alexander everyone is pussified today

So Amy Schaumer is allowed to exist, but Dave Chappelle can't make a joke?
sixmam I don't think people are referring to that example, since it was funny.
She plagiarized, that's why people are pisssd at her
she is Jewish, they can do no wrong
I can respect your line of thinking. I don't like what he said, but I can respect the fact that comedy isn't meant to be safe or polite.
Heroic Concepts 21st century for ya
Dayday Promo If you say so. They're only shooting themselves in the foot everytime they overreact like this.
Heroic Concepts yeah, but if they realise that themselves, fuck it let them stay hurt over jokes lol
If u mind me asking, how are you becoming a superhero? I'm assuming some type of special forces such as SEALS or SAS
He isn't as good with stand up as he use to be but man, I love his jokes. He picks on every race and orientation. His comedy makes us all laugh at eachother and every ridiculous stereotype out there. Fuck yo couch
Forget the Sports! shirt, I want one that says Politics!
for reals! idgaf about all this left, right bullshit. but if that's all people are gonna talk about, I at least want to look like i care
Genius
noblesteed30 just do it yourself homie. make that dough
Comedy is Comedy! If you don't like that comedy, then don't listen to it. Simple life hacks
Taty7659 when does comedy stop being comedy and becomes hate speech
Dave Chapelle was great in those specials. Taboos make comedy fucking hilarious.
JackA ss Taboos and stereotypes, watch some Jimmy Carr he's fantastic at that sort of thing
I know, I love him aswell.
The second story is exactly why my family didn't believe me when I told them I'd been sexually assaulted. I fucking hate people
Sorry about that 😕
family sounds like shit.
People are stupid in every way possible. We cannot win. That is what George Carlin would elude to. Me? I'm a bit more optimistic. More people need to speak logically on a larger scale. I hope to help victims and skeptics alike get past the unnecessary and uneducated ideologies.
But why would I believe you after that story too anyway? AND on the internet above all that Mr. Lolzmonster
MentalPatient64 The penalty for provably false accusations should be equal to the alleged crime.
I wouldn't be friends with people who found Dave Chappelle offensive. I don't need that kind of weakness in my life.
@Arianagrande Stan your name calling is the same thing by your definition. People like you are weak and hide behind excuses
@Arianagrande Stan it's not a irrational fear and it's not hate it's a joke. You talk more about race then actual racist do in this conversation. Race only matters to weirdos like you and racist when it comes to jokes. So quit being weak and talking about race like it matters in this situation.
Im so glad Chapelle didnt change his skit. I missed him.
Now I'm actually going to watch Dave Chappelle's specials. People are saying they are offended? Must actually be funny.
Sharon Triana Watch the Chappelle Show first, so you can have a small... (a big-ass) glimpse of his comedy
Oh I've seen his stand up before, he's awesome. I'm just making a point that these offended people made me want to go watch his new specials asap :)
Salamander Man edit: show *
Sharon Triana Oh, okay, but if you haven't watched the Chappelle Show yet, i highly reccommend you do.
Sharon Triana same
Holy shit if someone doesn't like a comedian's jokes, don't watch that comedian.
AbbyJ People are stupid.
Did y'all conservatives was mad about Dave Chappelle talking shit about trump get the fuck out here y'all people calling Dave the n word
+Isaiah singleton But that doesn't make newspaper headlines, for some reason.
Suck it up, it's comedy if you are gonna be offended then don't watch.
Exactly!!! no one is ranting about how offensive Jim Jeffries, Loui C K or Jimmy Carr are. Why should Dave be any different?
Toni Davis u forgot the legend George Carlin. imagine all these butthurt ppl watching his old stuff, their heads would explode
Golden Arms , I didn't even think of him! But yeah, their heads would explode from it!
Did u say kevin hart ? he's the least edgy comedian since fuckin seinfeld. and gab iglesias is more a clown than a comic
The World , you shouldn't have your real world hat on during comedian's performances.
ahmed moussa , have you ever really listened to their shows?
With comedy either everything is fair game or nothing is
Dan The Llama True, as long as the person is genuinely funny and not just one of those loud idiots who's trying to be funny and failing hard.
Chappell is hilarious
I do not agree. That guy, Tosh is not my cup of tea. He is abrasive & low brow. While there is something about Dave, Louis, the self depreciating humor but intellectual, you know they aren't just pointing & making insults. A great comic is a surgeon. I bad one, is a butcher.
people are offended by literally anything
Im offended.
I'm outraged- retract ur comment immediatly
Your comment is racist, sexist, misogynistic, xenophobic, homophobic, and transphobic! Delete it now!
Ikr everyone should know Dave Chappelle is a comedian if ur offended remember it's comedy for entertainment purposes
LeBabaCool I'm offended by this comment. Pay me and I'll go away. 💰
Been a lesbian for 16 years, and found the comedy special funny.
Comedy is being able to laugh at yourself.
People know not all gay\bi\trans people are as stupid as the people triggered over this or that riot in the streets like kids having baby tantrum.
either everything is capable of being comedy subject matter or nothing is.
Phil how the hell did you not know who captain underpants was
Phil you are so consistently reasonable. Love yo face
Dman +
Nothing is sacred in comedy. If you can't handle comedy go back to your safe place.
As long as it's funny, it's ok. slavery, rape, abortion all of it
Yep it is funny af
Brandon Powell well aren't you the edgy philosophical rebel anime kid.
Brandon Powell even if it isn't.
SODIEPOP P To you*. Any joke is funny if told well. If you want to get professionally offended go apply for a job at Twitter so you can have a ban hammer for opinions and jokes.
SODIEPOP P I disagree. I think anything can be funny in the right context
the "THIRD" time I met OJ Simpson...
Let the whiners whine, its a free country.
We can ignore them, its a free country.
Yeah mate as long as we don't cater to all their demands, unfortunately, the government and companies have been weak and listening to a lot of their shit, firing people, and changing based on that whining
What would they do if George Carlin was still alive?
Stephen Andre I think you underestimate George Carlin.
I wish I could give this comment 100 likes
Gatescaper riot. Like they do Milo but worse maybe.
I feel bad for George Carlin... He is missing out on so much great content.
Valenten I know!
As a representative of the upside down, I am happy we are finally being recognized!
Daniel Malone about to make a comment like this. Well done, sir.
I don't know why, but hearing the director of the FBI saying "tweets" in a super serious and official tone just sounded ludicrous.
Watching comedy and getting upset at a joke is like watching Star wars and thinking it's real.
But Star Wars is real though, i identify as a Jedi...
well i mean, dem nazi's wur bad tho, and look at dem stawm troopahs. they b nazi! CAlL tHe pOleSeEE
More like watching Star Wars and being upset because the physics are softer than butter.
Makistoys 😂😂😂😂 so true comedy step out of its boundaries which makes it the best
No it isn't. At all.
Dave goes after everyone. This is not new. Get over it.
Wow. Left, right and upside-down? What about the backwards people? The rightside-up? I thought in this day and age we were past such bigotry.
I'm so sorry, that was terrible.
Snazzy Belrand I don't know if you know this or not but he said "Upside Down" in reference to "Stranger Things".
Oh. I tried, but I couldn't get into that.
Snazzy Belrand sunken place
Snazzy Belrand I'm snazzier than you.
Snazzy Potato Carful. Them's fighting words
Lemme guess that kidnapping story was faked by the woman who said she was kidnapped.
I was right
I like how at the beginning of the special he says "if you are being sensitive you aren't going to make it to the end of the show"
It was a great special!
If a comedian's jokes are enough to threaten someone's moral views, those views probably weren't strong enough to begin with.
Justin Nguyen Well said
Lefty here. The Dave Chapelle comedy specials are spectacular. He is clearly joking and even just talking about issues in such a way (through comedy) helps to de-value the real people who are anti-gay/anti-trans because it's absurd the things he finds wrong with the LGBTQ community
It's not enough. Brianna needs to be made an example of.
18 year old
Fiance...
SOMEONE IS HIDING A SECRET BABY
Some one separate PC Culture from Comedy
Arjun Dev Chopra it needs to happen
Arjun Dev Chopra separate PC culture from everything
I'm to the rescue!
No, separate pc culture from earth in any form
*someone
Dave stated he was for gay and trans rights before that.
Dan Garcia Everyone always forgets that part. Funny huh?
Dan Garcia ITS A FUCKING JOKE
Dan Garcia Exactly. People take shit too seriously
I agree with Dave Chappelle it's called freedom of speech
Under the story of comedy, I'm right with Phil. I feel comedians should be allowed to push the line, although I don't think we can fault those that get upset. Often people who get upset about comedy are discredited as snowflakes, and I understand why. But, we have to remember that for whatever reason it is, that joke drew to close to home for them. And it upset them. They're allowed to be upset because their most likely hurting and implicitly taking it out on the comedian. I ultimately don't think its the comedians fault, nor is it the people who get upsets fault. It's just an unfortunate situation, and we should all have a conversation about it.
You can have your opinions. Don't have to get so defensive that you feel the need to strawman.
I agree, a lot of people take it to the point of censorship. And I think thats messed up. But I think if someones upset about something they have should have the right to express that. (Even if it's for dumb reasons)
this is a good comment
Barry C. problem is that a lot of the upset people arent even lgbtq, they are just hearing that someone is saying something that offends someone and they want to get their own share of offended
This is probably the best way to approach stuff like this.
Chappelles special was fantastic, people who want to be angry are going to be angry.
Dave Chappelle is funny as hell, end of story.
Gotta love Dave Chappelle for having the balls to use whatever comedy material he wants without being afraid of hurting the feelings of those snowflakes. People need to grow up and learn to laugh at themselves.
I'm bisexual and I thought his special was hilarious. Way better than Amy Schumer's.
TheBest OfLast Isn't everything?
Forget pc culture. If it bothers you leave comedy alone. Get over yourself. Those shows were hilarious.
Talus Tanat
First of all, as if this wasn't obvious, there's still absolutely no proof of any connections with this and Obama.
If you're highly offended by a comedy special, we can't be friends...
What if it's Amy Schumer's because it just wasn't funny?
+SiegeTF Agreed.. But is that technically comedy?
Even if it's bad, if you're offended by it that's just silly.
+Wonder Bread Ok, since you seem to think you know her motives, what were they?
I am a transgender and bi person and honestly he was fucking hilarious in the special, 10/10
On the fake rape story, I think 180 days is enough, because she didn't actually accuse anyone and ruin their life.
Miel van Velzen That's a fucking stretch. Police are required to investigate claims if there is reason to believe it could have happened.
+nice meme just out of curiosity, what if she had accused somebody?
yeah people are so soft these days its disgusting
nice meme glad to see that some people still have a sense of humor even if they are the butt of the joke
I grew up watching Chappelle's Show, watching his stand up. Do I agree with everything he says? No, but you don't have to, its comedy. Laugh at the jokes you like, don't laugh at the ones you don't. The over sensitivity of people today is absurd.
people upset with Dave chapelle have obviously never heard of AnthonyJesilnik.
Or Sam Kinison
HareLip PowerTrip or jokes
If you laugh at the jokes about every other group in America, then you have to laugh at the jokes about you.
exactly brother. people take themselves too seriously
Not me.
Jonathan Brown well you can stop existing now cuz I don't see bill burr in there...
Holy Shit, Bill Burr, of course! And many others, my apologies!
People like Branna make is hard for Black people and Rape victims not to mention that type of person keeps the division going.
She should have did jail time for 6 months if you ask me.
