- I love painting an unsuspecting scene, and today's painting is a prime example; a photo I took from my travels in Italy, I hope you enjoy.

Another gem, Colley. And a nice tip of the hat to Robert at the end. ❤
It looked like you were literally painting under the eave of that roof! Brilliant painting Colley!
Utterly stunning , I say it every time , truly masterly , thank you so much for these videos, they are such a delight to watch
Thanks Colley. I have photos I took of interesting windows in Porto and the Cotswolds that I’ve been reticent to paint but now I’ll have a go at them.
Hi Colley, and thanks for another great video. I see that in all your paintings you paint the lightest colours over a mid or dark tone that you've laid down first. Would you mind please explaining why you do this rather than just going in with the light on top of the canvas? Is it a corrective thing - adjusting the value - or does it produce a brighter sunlit feel? Or something else? I'd love to know as I really admire the light you achieve. Many thanks.
Great videos, Thanl you Colley
Thanks a lot for your great videos.
Great lesson. One of my favorite so far.
More good stuff.
Would you ever consider leaving the clothesline out?
please tell me, which medium do you use and at what stage of your work? how does your paint overlap one layer on top of another? or do you let the layers dry out?
Love your videos and commentary….but, sorry, I love ya man but I would rather see you painting rather than talking. More time with the painting part of your videos please. Fabulous shadows in this one. ❤️
