AVV sprinting back to the leading group was likely after she grabbed a bottle from the side. That was quite a crazy scene: She tried to grab a bottle, dropped it. Immediately tried to grab another one - dropped it. Grabbed a third - dropped it. The she slammed on the brakes to slow down for the fourth one which she finally kept.
That Doggo is probably super premium level mountain domestique
That was a super cute pupper. New rule: puppers need to welcome all riders to the finish and accompany them to the podium.
@@BryenGraver Grid Girls but doggos
Great to see Dygert coming back from such a horrible crash.
Vos is just amazing. Superhuman really.
After race dog analysis is just as vital as the race analysis.. love it
The tiny bit of the race we got to see was so impressive, I watched it twice! More, please!
Vos is super stable. The way she keeps her trunk super stable in that overhead is hugely effective in the sprint.
Vos the Boss.
Vos had surgery in February after injury problems all winter, just really getting started now!
Actually Vos used her lead-out not to lead her out but as a decoy for Kool. After Kools strategy clearly was to burn her lead-out in the part before the sprint to then base her sprint purely on Vos and JV. Vos definitely the Boss in terms of positioning and thinking.
On another note, think this also a good occasion to have another perspective on Realini. Yes she is a very good climber, and let’s see how she does against the best of the best on Lagos, as she has not climbed against them, just against teammates ELB and Spratt who are good but not the best.
But if she would be a male cyclist you would also be focusing on the problems her weight poses. She will probably lose minutes in a longer time trial. She is very vulnerable in stages like this, yeah she did OK in UAE but that was a much weaker field and other stakes. She will basically need to be chaperoned by Longo Borghini and maybe later by Van Dijk and Deignan. But you just cannot be chaperoned all the time.
But it is not just the echelons, she will even be vulnerable to attacks in descents and even on the flat as for example Valencia showed. And in between climbs she might not have the strong rouleurs to help her then. If the opposition take her seriously and accept that they do not want to take her to a tough uphill finish like Tourmalet or Lagos close in GC, there will be a lot of opportunities to gain time on her before that.
Of course the format that the Grand tours have now does suit her, with basically only climbing at the end, leading to maybe other teams keeping their powder dry like in last years Tour.
Career UCI recognized wins (excluding TTT's)
1.Eddy Merckx 275
2.Marianne Vos 247
No one else even close
I know the 2nd amongst the men is 162
It's a shame women's cycling is only now becoming more popular. I can only imagine how big of a superstar she would have been if she was just now entering the sport and dominated for the next two decades.
@@osfan25 agree 100%
Don't forget that Merckx probably participated in at least double as many races. The calendar for women was and still is very limited compared to men.
@@JonathanvG-wj1ro very true, just was pointing out that Vos the Boss, is a freaking LEGEND
@@JonathanvG-wj1ro maube not true. Since he won a lot of non uci races. If I remember correct his total is over 500.
Still even the stat on it own says enough. It would be very cool if she would manage to pass it. I guess it can come quite close if she makes it a goal
It looks like Vos did the right thing by moving right to avoid getting boxed in.
The dog from Pidders is called Dachs (pronounced like "Ducks"). It's short from Dachshund which literal translation is "badger dog"
Dackle! This was no Dackle.
Confirmed: Vos has telepathic abilities to look into the future. Choosing to go right and win the stage in that position is pretty nuts.
on Dutch commentary they said it was the fastest World tour road race ever.
Well they thought it would be. Professor Slappedel Tim said. I found that hilarious.
for ( women )
Vos is putting on a GOAT show... meanwhile while Lanterne Rouge is gearing up to cover dog shows?!?😣
🐶 🐶
Dygert looking strong. So happy to see her back!
MacKaij is with a long a with last one. Marianne still going strong! I remember this 15 year old girl asking me if she could ride her own tempo up a climb in a village in Istria with her brother Anton, who guided me around back then. I had to use my hand to push back up my lower jaw as she sprinted away! I am getting old.
So happy !!! Me encanta tu espanish. Great etapa
that lispy Spainish.
Straight up GOATED spring from Vos!!!
Nice doggy action! Good commentary on that man. 👊
Vos the boss.
Annemiek or as we call her Mieke tried to take on a bottle three times before she slowed down to finally manage to take it on the fourth try. That is why she was sprinting back. It must have been echelons all day. It is hard to keep drinking and eating when that happens.
loving seeing Dygert in the Womens Tour, really havent seen enough of her outside the track...horror crash excepted
Voss pure class
I think they found a very nice spot on the calendar for this vuelta.
Now how much time did Realini lose?
I'm not sure about that. The last 2 stages will be overshadowed by the Giro Granda Partenza. They will not even be on TV because of that (not live anyway). Eurosport will only broadcast them delayed and online.
Vos seen her team mate on the right and hit that hole! what a stage
GOAT 🦊
"I think pidcock will try that" lmaooooo
Vos the GOAT 😍
Love seeing Chloe back at the front of the peloton!! Hoping she comes back from the horrific leg injury more like Wout Van Aert than Taylor Phinney.
I tried to use the GCN + code for Germany and it wasn’t giving me the option to do the Laterne Rouge discount? Anything I can do?
anybody know how to legally watch this in the US?
liking the video just for that dog coverage at the end.
Vos needs surgery again. That's Vos sprinting on a bad leg. GOAT.
Is it just me that thinks the sped up footage looks weird?
Go cloe
3:10 or maybe Reusser is telling her off for being racist, idk is hard to tell with the body language on the bike
Not very nice to call Kata a cow (vasche en Francais). ;-)
In Hungarian the S is pronouced like SH in English, SCH in German, CH in French, SJ in Dutch. But if you want it to sound less like the French 'vache', you should also pronounce the A the Hungarian way, which is somewhat between A and O in many other languages. Similar to the Danish double AA in 'Vingegaard' (Vingego).
So in English spelling: Kata Vosh.
