Thanks for showing beginners basics even though I have been behind a camera since the early days when tubed cameras were the norm . I guess you set this up just for this video so that’s why it’s untidy. I shall watch your channel with interest maybe I will see something I have forgotten or didn’t know

One other helpfull tip. Use right-angle BND adapters out of the camera to take the strain off the SDI cables, and tether up the 12v power cable, leaving it slack out the back of the 4-pin power XLR, as leaving it hanging puts strain on the bent cable and the XLR socket.

Imagine getting work as a operator and watching this video to know what to do... not that video is bad or anything but seems like you should have learned this already.

Most churches use volunteers. This video isn't for the people you're talking about.

are those fujinon's ms-x1 semi servo manual focus module system? is this setup manual? because I would love to have a manual system, the pre-programed servo unit zooms and focuses weirdly and will give you a distinct servo look when you zooming in and out, if you pull it by hand you can do really great transition. servo is good for perfect long distance long duration operation because the machine does it perfectly for you and it does not jitter at all

I am not from the company but yes this is manual focusing system, there is no motorized servo for focus (not one inside the lens nor one attacked to it). I personally can't stand these because of the way they are operated, you need to twist the knob that manually moves the wire connected to the gear attacked to the lens. These are only good for slow moving action unusable for sports for example. This is clearly a low cost setup. Full servo lenses with digital controllers are in tens of thousands of dollars probably beyond what most private production houses can afford.
