“ stop saying triplets until you research the situation further” is the nice way of saying STFU 😂! Dude, your videos are freaking awesome! Thanks for making them!!! 4:19
That was freakin amazing. So much useful information. Even if you’re not trying to copy a drum line but do something original, just imagining it in your head what you want to hear, the skills still apply perfectly. \m/
I played this song for 15 years man. I sang it and also Played all the guitar lead and rhythm. I played it so much back in the day my fingers started to bleed back when I first started. Around 1985-1990... It wasn't until I hit 29 that I started my first full band. I had already played Holy wars so much that we could play it live the first try with my drummer Jack Steele. He was AWSOME man!! I still play it, but the vocals faded I screamed so long I lost an octave... It's been a while since we jammed live but I almost got it back but its way to long now, so I don't even try. When I play it, I sing it an octave lower now. Got to do what we got to do right? HAHAHAH
Sure. It’s kind of like basic math where you can phrase it a couple ways and it means or equals the same thing. I’m sure people will chime in and critique my language when I make this video public.
I am fully prepared to watch you push dots around for an hour sir. @ShiningHourPop we forgive you for the lack of metal in your head. Ain't nobody perfect.
I played the drums for a few years just to learn. I didn't know how to do triplets, but I learned kinda on my own. I did them wrong according to my old drummer HAHAH he hit the snare first then the two kicks... or toms or whatever... I thought that was backwards HAHAHA Sounded right so I never said anything to him HAHAHA I had to hit the kicks first and the snare last... HAHAHAH
Echoing @rockysnider5618: This is such a great series. Love it! And how in the world have I missed/ignored the “Slope” setting. I do lots of manual sloping. You always add a great tool to my kit! 🤘
ua-cam.com/video/0S2gOfnYwIs/v-deo.htmlsi=1VRVjFTTj_nkMf9w I did a bias amp tone match for this tune. Best tone match I ever did. It’s online for downloading if you use bias fx or bias amp. I found stems for the original online and swap my guitars in and out with Megadeths at random times and I can’t hear a difference.
Love this series
Thank you, Rocky.
I love your insight. You are a wealth of knowledge man. You inspire my creativity.
Thanks so much for saying!

If Bob Ross did thrash metal drum tutorials. Lovely stuff! Randomize set to 11 too :D
Ha… maybe I’ll mimic bob on one of these!
The best song they ever put out in my opinion...
Thx for all the great videos!!!
Probably my favorite as well.
Thank You.......Once Again
You got it!
Great tips! Can you also think of it as a 'rest' followed by 2 pick up beats and a downbeat?
Sure. It’s kind of like basic math where you can phrase it a couple ways and it means or equals the same thing. I’m sure people will chime in and critique my language when I make this video public.
Good stuff Shawn thanks!😊
Thanks, Peaches :)
