Wow, what a backdrop and treat for the ears! I hope you enjoyed your time away. Thank you for still making us a video! God bless you all as you are walking through your grief. 🙏❤️
I just finished The Women by Kristen Hannah and it was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend. Love seeing your progress on the Book Club Cardi! Can’t wait to make that one.
The Blue Angels! We went to see them when we were staying in Pensacola and realised that their base was so close. The next day they had a show that we went to see. They do such amazing stunts wow. A year later we where road tripping thru Louisiana,Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama and when we stayed at Orange Beach we found out that the Blue Angels had a training the next day, so we drove to the base again. Unfortunately they changed the admission policy and we needed our passport to get in. Drive’s license did not work. We were so sad. ✈️✈️✈️
I live on the NC coast and near two marine corps bases (Cherry Point and Camp Lejeune). We frequently have the Blue Angels do air shows at these bases. It never grows old.
Hi ! Could you please tell me the resort or hotel you are staying at ? Right in the beach and we soooo need a holiday like that after having back surgery…. Just looks so quiet …
If you love posh british accents, have you listened to any Agatha Christie? Hugh Fraser narrates them and he is delightful. I especially enjoy the Poirot mysteries, they are perfect cozy mysteries.
In New Zealand we have to swim between the red flags, as that is the area that the lifeguards are operating, take note they are volunteers too. A rip can pull you off your feet at knee height. We call man-o-war, blue bottles in NZ. This summer gone we have had a huge influx on our local beaches.
Hello darling! So glad the Paty Line is flying off the shelf!! 🎉🎉 I’m not very good at light reading. I do love the Gamache series by Louise Penny though!! And anything by Lisa jewel for mysteries. Two of my favourites less light listens in the last couple of years: Small Island by Andrea Levy and the Book of Longing by Sue Monk Kidd
Hi Kaci, I am loving all of the different series by H.Y. Hanna, narrated by Pearl Hewitt with a cute and posh British accent. They are light and easy and fun. There’s even a beachy series. Also, the Oxford Tearoom series and an English cottage garden series. Good light easy listening when times are a little hard. Wishing you and your family some happy vacation time. 😊
Several of my favorite audiobooks, that I recommend all the time and folks are always positive about are: Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt (truly original, captivating and uplifting) and The Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven by Barbara Kingsolver (truly transporting with astonishingly beautiful characters and language). I have more but I will pass along those gems for now. 😘
🥺 PTSD! Kapaa, Kuaui..... 1978, family trip I got a smaller man o ' war wrapped around my leg. I was 13 and my family thought a was being over dramatic about a jelly fish....until we went to the hospital. Just seeing that picture sent me into a clenched freeze!
Anything related to the jellyfish is a no go zone for me. I stepped in a fire ant hill a few days ago and my feet are still stinging. I'm glad you survived your Portuguese man o' war attack. I also always bring two projects and only work on one. I'm also picky about my audiobook narrators.
So glad you and esp your mother in law got a vacation with your family! Have a fabulous time! You deserve it! The frozen river just became available on my holds list- thanks for the suggestions and always your knitting content Kaci!
Off topic but I wanter to share a book i think you will like. The Murmur of Bees by Mexican author Sophia Segovia. Beautifully written. I used to keep bees, and I miss my Ladies.
man o'wars are actually a colony of organisms rather than a single animal! Also Baywatch made me way more scared of them as a kid than was entirely necessary hahah
Congrats on releasing your first design, Kaci! 🎉 Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about that T-shirt. 🙂 I hope you and your family have a lovely vacation. ☀️
What a beautiful episode! Thanks for taking me home, literally! It looks like you are in my hometown, and staying on the beaches I grew up on. If you are where I think you are, my brother lives and owns 3 restaurants there.
I was up at the panhandle at the beach this weekend. I didn't see any man o' wars, but my sister did. But what I did see was a lot of jellyfish in the water, which I'd never seen before. Beached, yes, I've seen plenty. But just swimming in the water, no. One almost hit me in the face when a wave came in. I got out after that!
You look like your down on the gulf coast. I spent every summer for a week from 2nd grade until after I graduated down in Gulf Shores Alabama with family and extended family
so glad that you were able to get away at this time. I used to live in Florida I love the beaches and weather. Makes me long for that again. Congratulations on your first pattern success it is so cute. So here's to many more new creations from you Kaci.😊
So fun to see the beach behind you. I’m from a city in Brazil right on the ocean and I miss it so much. Congratulations on the Party Line success. I knew it was going to be a great success and I’m loving mine 💗💕

Best wishes 😍
Yay! You are in my area. I thought so from the intro, but knew for sure when I saw the Blue Angels fly by! Hope your time here is very enjoyable.
❤ thank you

Couldn’t watch this because of all the background noise.
Oh Kaci you are so inspiring.. watching from small town New Zealand, on a freezing cold morning, we were -5’.
Perfect wooly garment weather. 🥶
Oh wow! That sounds nice!
I hope you had a relaxing time in Florida! I also just went to Florida for a few days and being in the sun and warm water was so therapeutic
When your ready for a read to put more into I’d love your thoughts on 100 Years of Solitude!
I loved the shades of blue in this video, including your shirt. I hope it was a healing time for all of you.

You might enjoy Margery Allingham’s mystery novels which are set mainly in 1930’s and 1940’s England.

Such a fun name ❤
