    Hi Ken,. I've been teaching Martial Arts for about 29 years. I've seen weapon forms change and evolve so much over the years. I really enjoy your videos because of the way you break things down and your explanation of your combinations. Great job...

    Dude you're such an amazing teacher, I love how you break everything down into steps and perform it slow enough to follow what is actually taking place, makes learning so much easier. I learned the figure 8 wrist roll in one night thanks to you, still horribly sloppy but I have much practicing to do. Thank you for the vidoes!

    Ken, u've always been one of my favorites. your showmanship exceeds ur skill which is undoubtedly no less. u certainly are an inspiration to a lot of people as of mine. I believe its not a time challenge issue rather, how good u become through practice and be one with this weapon. I wish I were as good as you are or I would have sent you some of my own practice videos. Long live stay well and keep rolling my friend !

    Hi Ken! I'm actually not sure how stumbled upon your videos now, but 3 weeks later having never spun a chuck in my life or had any experience in martial arts (I'm a musician in fact), I am doing figure 8 wrist rolls and more! Your style of teaching is awesome and I'm sure you reached your goal of 100 new spinners before that year was out, but aside from that you've given me an excellent new fulfilling hobby! Gratitude from Essex, England.

    Thank you for this. My master says there is no other form for nunchucks that we do, so I could go free style. Well he only taught us the basics: figure 8, triangle, underarm catch, around the neck, around the back, to the knee etc. so it's hard to look really cool with them so this will impress my fellow peers if my nunchucks are long enough to to the turn. Anyway thanks again!

  • @iZurdoh
    @iZurdoh 11 років тому

    the most effective way to use in a battle is to know your wrist rolls while theyre not used that much, theyre effective to inflict fear, confuse opponents and switch guards. your guard would be holding them on a back shoulder grip ready to slash at anyone trying to get close to you. This is the most simple of techniques of course if you want to go bruce lee on it its gonna take a while lol

    First move I learned. EVER. It took me literally 5 minutes to get it with my right hand. I stll can't do this move with my left hand, tho. I use a nunchaku made by myself, from an old wooden chair, and it has cord, not chains (I prefer cord for a lot of reasons). Now I need to learn the infinity loop with one hand... :)

    Nunchaku are meant to be used as a weapon, flashy moves are okay for shows as he does, however in combat it is not practical. Even in a show it is abuse of the weapon as it is intended to be used to strike, trap and disarm opponents. Doing moves as shown in the video causes unnecessary wear and tear where the two sticks are connected and causes them to loosen. If used for combat you must keep in mind that they are a weapon and should be wielded as such and without the added wear and tear from the fancy junk that can get you killed. They will last longer if used properly.

    One strike per opponent! No exception! If you have time to wrist roll! Your already dead! This is a weapon. Not a dance! Bruce always knew this and trained as such! Would often injure himself! Till he learned the fulcrum. Once master'd impossible to overcome! Ping pong vs bullets! Life or death!! Every session
    I miss him!
