- Linking Delta PLC to Factory IO using OPC server (kepserverEX 6) | ISPSoft COMMGR Modbus Ethernet.
This lesson is designed to show you how you can generate a simple program and link it to the factory IO. You learn the application of a few important PLC-related programs. Application of PLC commands such as Force on/off, Set on/off, and a short introduction to the factory IO software are all introduced in this lesson. Then to link the factory io to plc, I have created an OPC server using KepserverEX software. Finally, a virtual machine system is designed inside of the Factory IO and it is linked to PLC for further control.
Step 1- a simple program is created using Delta ISPsoft software
Step 2- the simple program is uploaded and tested on a Delta PLC hardware
Step 3- the Factory IO software is launched to design a virtual machine system Step 4- An OPC server software is used to connect the Factory IO to the Delta PLC
Step 5 - the KepserverEX 6 software is used as my OPC software in this lesson
Step 6 - since my Delta PLC does not have an Ethernet port, I need to use Modbus ASCII serial driver to do this virtual connection.

Hello Syed Raza. Let me please also add that I find your tutorials on Delta very informative and easy to understand. Your way of teaching the topic is very effective. thank you again for creating this content...
Thanks for your comment and concern and glad you found the content useful.
Great !!! Tutorial. Thanks a lot.
You are welcome! Thanks for checking the channel out!
Thanks a lot for the great content, I'm really sorry that UA-cam doesn't support such channels>
No worries! Thanks for your comment, and you also should know that business do not work for free, they work for their pocket!👍.
Thank you a lot sir
Most welcome❤❤
Belíssima simulação.
Thanks for the comment👍👍
good job
Thank you! Cheers!👍👍
Thx u alot of u content it's very useful for me , I tried to connect factory io to kepserverex using a virtual plc but it didn't work , when I pressed the quick client and choose the dvp channel it shows unknown value for x0 , m0 and y0 besides a bad of quality connection
Hi there, Maybe there is a way to connect the virtual PLC to Kepserverex, but I've not checked that. note that, I used my real PLC during my videos.
@@plcgoodsmentor9223 PLCgoods made a vid it but not with opc server it's with control io
please work on this and let me and others know the result!
@@plcgoods I figured out that if I change the properties of the channel changing the option simulated from no to yes , the values changed besides to the quality of connection and became good but it can't be changed when press push button at factory io
@@ayhamshbat2733 I have facing same issue can u help me?
Nuevo sub lol
Estoy muy emocionado de saber eso, ¡gracias señor!❤✔
hello sir, is there any other way to connect delta plc and factory io? KEPServerEX license is very expensive due to the exchange rate difference.
Hello sir. Note that, the demo version of KepserverEx software supports its all abilities. We only need restart it every 2 hours. However, I’ve not worked with another software to connect my Delta PLC to Factory I/O.
Hello syed. Please is there a way to link factory IO using kep server direct to delta plc simulator just the simulator. Here's my point in your video you have the plc hardware and the modbus cable but in a situation where the hardware isn't present and we would like to see the factory simulation control the delta software simulation. can it be linked?
Hi there, unfortunately I’ve not found a way to connect ISPSoft simulator to Factory I/O. probably, it’s possible. If you find it, it’s my pleasure to share it with me. Thanks.

waht if i dont have a plc. how can i connect ispsoft to factory io. and make simulation.s
Hi there, unfortunately, I didn't find a way to make a connection between ISPSoft and Factory I/O without PLC.
Hi Syed Raza, Can I run the whole simulation with out using the Delta Plc device hardware, if it's possible what type of channel I should create?, and what Comm port will be?, in case to achieve effective connection to run the Factory I/O with DVP simulator.
Thanks
Hi there, You can test your programs with a DVP simulator. Note that I only connected Factory I/O to my physical PLC. If you find a way to make a connection between Factory I/O and DVP simulator, please share that with us.
@plcgoods Hi Syed Raze, that was the question I was going to ask lol and many of us viewers ask these kinds of questions and we don't get a very helpful reply and no reply at all most of the times but in your case you gave Tim to read the question and answered the person that you don't know a way to connect the simulation with factory io and this clear answer saves us a lot of time and lets us move forward and not waste our time. This was the question that was bothering me a lot and I respect what you did for being truthful 🙏.
Hello. Can you tell me what is different between M0 and X1. In your case both is DI. I dont know what is different? Can you tell me more?
Please see the video again, especially the time between 18:15 and 19:30. Overall, X0 is connected to my real switch, and M0 is connected to the virtual pushbutton inside Factory IO software.
Note that, digital input addresses (X0, X1, ...) deal with a real voltage ( 0 and 24 volt), and the virtual pushbutton inside Factory I/O can not change the appeared voltage at a real digital input like X0, but it can change my PLC memory like M0.
This issue is answered in the previous videos over and over, to understand better, I recommend you to watch some more videos of these series of Delta tutorial videos, to get it for yourself.
Please make video with delta plc
Of servo programming with pulse mode and pulse interrupt
For sure, i will do that. It is on my future plane!
what's the diference between KepserverEX 6 Demo vs the paid one?
I do not know, i never used the Demo version, Please you investigate it and let me know that here in the comment section. In addition, you can find out the answer just by googling it! right?
@@plcgoods the only one diference between them is that the Demo version allows you record only 2hs
Why OPC if it is possible to connect directly via Modbus?
That there are various ways to reach a conclusion, so you are right connecting to PLC using Modbus is yet another way available to do the job!
Sir when i try to open opc Quick client and select deltadvo14ss2 it shows empty.. Doesn’t showing any tag.what is the problem.. Can you please solve my problem!
Hi there, If you don't see any tag in the Quick Client window, Probably your connection settings are not correct, or the physical connection has a problem in its cable or incorrect port.
Also, pay attention to the video (time 11:30 to 12:30).
Thanks for checking out the channel!
factory io will interface without hardware device ?
Please watch some more videos related to the Delta PLC that i have posted on my UA-cam channel to get more understanding about the application of the Factory IO software with respect to a PLC hardware
good evening, how do I download the kepserver?
Note that, the demo version of KepserverEx software supports its all abilities. We only need restart it every 2 hours. You can download it from its official website. Just search it on the internet.
Hi my factory io disable all driver can u help me pliz
Please explain about your interface issue more.👍👍
i dont hav real plc is it possible that i can connect factory io with simulation....
yes you can use the Factroy IO to simulate a PLC
@@plcgoodsbut in delta ispsoft
Thanks for replying
Yes you can using dvp-simulator, you'll have to create a modbus serial ascii connection, over tcp/ip, an after that you can connect factory io and kepserverex with opc. Or you can also use as-simulator and connect directly through modbus tcp/ip without the need of kepserverex.
@@easyengineering9134 can you please tell me how , it would be a great help
After selecting modbus serial ascii, what com port should i select ?
can we operate through crack version of the opc server.
as i'm student i am able to learn a lot from this videos. thankyou.
try it! it might work who knows?
Glad you like the content! and thank you for you comments
@@plcgoods im able to work with crack. my request is to make me help with who does not have plc and can work by simulation in kepserver. thankyou
how to link kepserver with commgr and isp in simulation mode as i m not having real plc.

Hi there, it seems you have a problem to make a connection with your PLC via Modbus. I can't help you only based on a message. It's better to check your connection settings and also the ports and your hardware, otherwise ask an expert which you access him to help you.
Hello Syed. I am trying to connect Kepserver to IspSoft (DVP simulator; I don't want to use Factory IO). How do I establish a connection (Kepserver via DVP simulator)? Specifically- 1) Type of channel to be created (2) What to enter in Com ID/Port nos.?
Please advice.
Also at 11:58 minutes in the video, all your drivers have stopped. Which driver are you using to run your PLC?
Hi there, I've only connected factory I/O to my real PLC using Kepserver. However, maybe there is a way to make a connection between DVP-simulator and kepserverEx, but I've not searched about this connection until now.
