I used to work at the mall and one day our district manager was in town and we were talking and he said that our store wasn't about the sore, it was a piece of real estate. I had never thought about it like that. A few years ago I read an article about McDonald's fast food locations and it was saying the same thing. There is a selling component to these places but also a real estate aspect of the business.
McDonalds owns the real estate and sells the franchise rights to franchisees.

I could learn a lot more. Coincidently i cut grass and do construction. Im a heavy equipment operator. I am also property manager at the old Packard Plant Automobile factory on the eastside of Detroit on East Grand Blvd. A decade now. I been on a show American Pickers. Season 24 Episode 10. I give Mike Wolfe a tour of the Packard Plant. I want to learn more about real estate investing. So when your show touched on Mr. Moore's business acumen. Is a detroiter born and raised? I usually love all of al profits videos, but lately they've been slipping so hard and so bad. The content is not as good. We're seeing the same people and then we hear the story. Al doesn't even let them talk. He's just go ahead and try to feed the story as a conveyor belt and then they start telling the story. I don't know what's real or what's not. I don't know what's exciting or what's interesting. I don't know what's educating or was just fiction. I think I'm about done now. I appreciate it when he made real documentaries and videos that made sense
