Wow can someone explain why Aaron’s answer to Moses at the end of chapter 10 was able to calm him? Aarons two sons were just burned because they offered strange fire and then right after, another one of the rules was broken by not eating the meat in the Holy Place but Aaron says “such things have befallen me and if I had eaten the sin offering today should it have been accepted?”

Wow can someone explain why Aaron’s answer to Moses at the end of chapter 10 was able to calm him?
Aarons two sons were just burned because they offered strange fire and then right after, another one of the rules was broken by not eating the meat in the Holy Place but Aaron says “such things have befallen me and if I had eaten the sin offering today should it have been accepted?”
