An apology is not neccesarily admission of guilt, you can still apoligize for the offended being upset, and without actually admitting guilt. Sure, an apology could be used against you, but nobody would take that seriously, especially after seeing that video and witnessing all the lies being told. That being said, one should still be cautious when making apologies, just in case. Also in some states there are legal protections for apologies used as evidence against them so long as it fits the criteria, such as in Kanel's situation. What I actually find to be very offensive was how he was arrested for spooking a cow. And the lies!!! They may have some serious repenting to do for that.

It’s quite weird to think about but this is a common tactic by the prosecution to try and make the defendant look as tho they were responsible, and that they knew they were responsible by apologizing. it’s recommended to not say Sorry. As weird as it sounds. Atleast in a court of law it’s advised not too.
For Context: Kanel is innocent. He went behind a cow and he talked to a lady who hit the cow when it stood up. The cow then stepped on her hand and only injured her finger (the lady herself said it only hurt her finger). The mother then reported him for “aggravating the cow and making it break the daughter’s hand”.
