Reforestation Updates Sep/2020 (Indigenous Self-documentation)

We hope everything is going well in these difficult times.
We are taking challenges into solutions and continue with our efforts to create food security for the indigenous tribes in the heart of the world and fight our climate crisis with food forests, these months, we were growing more than 3,000 trees in two new tree nurseries and we are ready for the next sowing season in September! We already started this last week with more than 700+ trees planted and in the upcoming weeks the rest of the trees are going to be in the soil!
Sadly, the indigenous people in Colombia had devastating consequences with the actual COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and destruction of the rainforest with food and water scarcity. Now and more than ever the communities need our help to keep thriving.
Our plans were to travel to the communities shortly before the global lockdown in March. Everything got canceled and we had to reorganize the whole project. The communities are in isolation since then.
That is also why we couldn't give you a current update about the work that was going on. Normally we are filming and documenting the sowings and the whole process. Now we passed this part to the families we are working with. It is a challenge to communicate with them due to the lack of internet access, but we could re-organize everything and are very happy to present to you the outcome. They started with self-documenting during these very hard times for everyone and tried there best with the possibilities they have.
Some of them do not want to show up in videos, or photos and we totally honor and respect that, for us although and the donors it is important to see the actions that were taken. So now we found a good balance together and present you some parts of this material.
In the last months, we have been a little bit quiet, because of some new projects and various transformations processes to keep the project growing. Now we are back with a new momentum right to the sowing season.
