Agree. Had an outer banks with squatch…. 6 cylinder engine and transmission were great but my personal preference is for a fixed roof.. too loud and too crude for my tastes.. But the bronco is still much better than the Wrangler….
wife has a bronco sport and iv wanted a big bronco ever since. just tested a bronco outer banks and land cruiser 1958 and gotta say i enjoyed the land cruiser way more and the ride was smoother and im a diehard ford guy. if it werent for the price id say the land cruiser is the way better buy.

Have a 2024 FE LC250 just hit 3,700 miles. LOVE IT! Keeping! Just did a set of 18x9.5 Black Rhino wheels on some Nitto Grappler 285/70/18. Stock height and have taken it off road. NO ISSUES! IS A MONSTER ON TRAILS. Quite on the highway. However I'm averaging around 16-18mpg on AZ 91 pump gas.
The Bronco looks cool and I understand why certain people like it, but I'm a Land Cruiser guy all the way. The removable parts on the Bronco would bother me after a while.
I own two door Bronco 2.7 Wildtrack had top for last two years. I took it on a cross country adventure and love the car. Removable top is a lot of fun. I wish the rear window would roll down. I think that the Hybrid power plant in Toyota is a totally different beast and not certain it will survive the test of time. With the hybryd component should have better fuel consumption. Just for me for day to day driver Bronco is more suitable.
In the short run probably the Bronco, in the long run the Landcruiser no doubt. In 20 years the Landcruiser will still be a nice boxy suv. In 20 years the bronco will just be a 5000 dollar used budget suv
Bronco all the way. I own a Badlands Sasquatch with the Lux Package with a Hardtop. Very happy. To be honest, if gas prices are a problem, then you shouldn't purchase either of those vehicles.
Bronco!!! Plus it gets better gas mileage than 17mpg. But the Bronco all the way!! But the Landcruiser is pretty awesome too. I would be pumped with either. Really need to compare it next to a Sasquatch package with a hardtop to be a more fair comparison. But both are great options.
Bronco is an experience you can get and enjoy... i think nothing can compare to the bronco.. even jeeps are far from the way bronco feels like, land cruiser is not even enjoyable, just another boring suv
I almost had a Bronco but wanted a truck (Gladiator). That being said, if I was in the market for an off-road SUV, I’m going with the LC (GX550 if I had the money for the one I like lol)
The real question is where am I going to drive? I love both, but the land cruiser is more practical. But the bronco can run over Prius’…… that’s a big question.

I'm copping the Bronco. The LC is boring, and I have that already, with my other car being a Honda Accord V6 that won't quit (...that 3.5 is not boring, actually).
The land cruiser and I want to say the 2025 4runner are made in Japan so the quality is there. They're also not v6 so they don't have issues like the v6 trucks (which are not made in japan)

Not to mention how ford had to shut down the f150 plant due to QC issues. Ya the new tundra had a manufacturing issue but Toyota already fixed it. Why are several ford models still having quality control issues?
Hard to trust either engines will be reliable in 5 or 10 years. But 6 is better than 4 when adding a turbocharger. Toyota has the better reputation so maybe it’s a push. All the manufacturers seem to be taking it on the chin w turbos. But in the end - as the editor said - it all comes down to what you want and how you want to use the vehicle.
I wish reviewers would also at least mention predicted reliability. Consumer Reports gives the Bronco 2/5 and the Land Cruiser 4/5. If someone is torn between the two that could be a difference maker.
All these “off-road” vehicles you see on the road, the vast majority will rarely see a gravel road let alone a “off-road trail”. So be realistic and choose accordingly.
As a previous 2021 Wrangler owner who is now driving a 24 LC, I will say they are worlds apart. I loved my Jeep, but damn was it rough daily driver and not family friendly even as a 4 door. The LC is considerably more expensive, but so worth it! I love Jeep, but as I get older, I want a more refined smooth ride and tye LC delivered.

@crushbaseball4270 I do put premium in it. My understanding it can run on regular gas but it's something I'm not going to try right now. For me, I don't believe premium prices are that much more different than regular at the moment. I just try to adjust my spending accordingly to compensate I suppose. I hope that makes sense!
I own both - 2021 Bronco Outer Banks softtop and 2024 LC First Edition. Definitely different animals as described. If your daily driver doesn't involve interstate driving, I'd save the $25K difference and drive the Bronco which is peppier and more fun to drive; it's too loud above 65mph. The LC is solid, but I'm only getting 280 miles (max) on the highway per tank of PREMIUM gas which is extremely disappointing given what they advertise (24+mpg for the 17.9 gallon tank which should be well over 400 miles per tank). For anyone who is expecting something reminiscent of the previous model LC, you won't be satisfied with this supersized 4Runner.
I have a 2010 LC200 but Im wanting a technology upgrade. Especially with the darkening of my screen that controls A/C and stereo. I'm actually stuck between these 2 vehicles . My current commute is 12 minutes but I love a long weekend trip. Thanks for your input.

He fills it up and the gas tank won’t register there’s gas in it. Ford hasn’t been able to fix it yet. The parking sensors will go off randomly for no apparent reason too. He wants an LX for his next vehicle. My LC and 4Runner have had zero issues and they’re way older than the expedition. 😂

Both are equally unreliable right now bronco with 250k recalls and that new 4 c hybrid is destroying the Toyota name massive recalls on any vehicles with that engine. Until Toyota gets this fixed I’d stay away from the land cruiser , Tacoma and tundra

This is prado. Although it is very capable prado. But a full size 300 series gr sport would make a lot of sense when comparing with bronco.

We have a Wildtrack Sasquatch and my average is around 19.8. Not bad honestly.
