I'm going back through the courses in Aquaponics Paradise again. I have assembled my small indoor NFT System simular to the one set up in the course. Now I'm trying to figure, what kind of fish, like maybe goldfish ( something that's not hard to care for) to stick my small system to learn hands on about calculations in real time.
These fundamentals will hep you understand reguardless of the size of your system. Like tying a shoe. Once you learn therm you will never forget and can tie any shoe you wear!....lol...is literally that good! I'm super excited!!!!!!! Thank you Brooklyn for all of your amazing wisdom you share! 🌞🌱

Thank you very much, this is very good information for me. Just playing with numbers I was able to estimate how much fish I need for a 2000 sf of growing area. when the fish reaches a weight of 500 gr (aprox. 1 lb). I need 1150 fish aprox. I hope I got it right.

Do i have to start with small fish babies, or i could just by some already somewhat grown fish, would that help me establish my system faster? Thank you and i hope this question finds you. Keep up!
But I have an important question It might no be that important to many people. The ratio 60/100 gr per square meter, how about the plants per square meter. The density for leafy greens would change this ratios in any way? Thank you.

How much does the depth of a DWC affect the ratio of feed per m2 introduced into the system?
>> for example, DWCs are usually around 20-25cm deep. Over a DWC of say 15x2m, a 5cm depth difference equates to 1,500L..
If I were feeding 60g/m2/day to two systems, one a 6000L DWC and one a 7500L, that 1500L difference feels like it likely messes around with the ppm I might expect to find in each system. Is there a way to accurately calculate that without doing it the hard way of just waiting and playing with the system? Am I even correct about the feeding ratio of x grams / m2 / day?> is there a g/m3/day formula?
Would massively appreciate your help on this one , it's wrecking my head.

Do you know if you will grow grass carp you should be able to feed it with the salad you grow in the system to cut the costs?

Hello Brooklyn from the Philippines the island of Negros oriental i am new to your channel i just subscribed and i started downloading your course i am planning on growing tilapia here on my farm. I have a very big garden that was once a rice field about 2 acres in size after we bought the property we change it to a garden rather than a rice field the garden is fed water through an irrigation ditch that comes from a natural spring fed creek that has naturally living tilapia in it already..What our future construction plan is to dig another irrigation ditch much deeper so that the water is about four feet deep right beside the old irrigation ditch the new one being lined with concrete and the old one being filled in with the leftover dirt so then we will have a moving source of fresh spring water feeding the tilapia tank constantly and then it will overflow into our garden and at the far end of the garden can be diverted back into the creek as needed Brooklyn will this kind of setup work do you have any advice for me ??Also i have a small UA-cam channel all about my farm here in the Philippines if you want to take a look..thank you so much for your UA-cam channel and all your work i'm so grateful to have found you..

I would like to ask you to review the following commercial system designs:
(1)
- 15m x 40m total available area: 600m² (sqm).
- Fish farming green house: 7m x 36m (252m²):
- Six (6) 20m³ circular fish tanks. 40 - 50kg/m³ stock density. Production will be staggered so that we have one crop per month, considering the tilapia growth time;
- Mechanical, rhizospheric and microbiological filtering system.
- Green house for plants: 7m x 40m (280m²):
- Sixteen (16) DWC tanks: 1m x 6m x 0,80m each;
- Twenty (20) media beds: 1m x 1m each.
- Remaining area: 7m x 4m (28m²):
- Machine house and stock space for feed and other materials.
(2)
- Fish farming green house: 5m x 12m (60m²):
- Two (2) 10m³ circular fish tanks. 40 - 50kg/m³ stock density;
- Mechanical, rhizospheric and microbiological filtering system.
- Green house for plants: 7m x 20m (140m²):
- NFT portion for 1800 plants: 9 hydroponic workbenches (1,75m x 6m) capable of producing 216 vegetables each (9 tubes with 24 holes per workbench).

Sure, if you have enough space for them.
@@TheSchoolofAquaponics I have an empty 55 gallon. Thought about starting with goldfish/koi because I can get them from my area. Might add tilapia later in another tank.
