Miss Cleo was a trip. I loved watching those infomercials back in the day. I never saw it as a scam as I thought that it was a given that the calls were for entertainment only. I definitely wish I could've called back in the day, but I was a kid and didn't have any money.
Nah, the 80s were straight up amazing. I was in college but also able to afford to go to Europe to party whenever and we could drink at 18 (until 87). Dazed and Confused, although late 70s, is a pretty on point picture of the era if you weren't born yet.
My favorite was Kerbrina's Psychic Answer because she had Erik Estrada shilling for her and he said she predicted his career on Chips and the Taco Bell commercial he was on.
Taco Bell should have paid Erik Estrada to lay spread eagle on that Taco Bell floating platform that was placed where the Soviet Space Station Mir was projected to hit. It had Space Mold on it too.
Oh I loved these infomercials! Never for a second believed it (no offense to those who do) but she had such a positive aura about her that I just couldn't hate her. I'm glad she led a good life post-scandal... Well, up til the cancer, that is. R.I.P. Ms Cleo.
As soon as I saw this I said “I see a great future!” My brother and I used to make fun of the infomercials that ran back then. My dad would just roll his eyes at us.
I answered the calls to buy credits with a credit card. It was a work from home position using your own phone and computer about the year 2001. I would be available for calls for 8 hours, getting maybe 2 calls during that time. It paid $0.43 a minute while on the call for processing the credit card transaction. There was a minimum of $20 to ever get paid. I never got anything for helping her rip people off.
One day we called Miss Cleo, we got put on hold for over 1\2 hour we got to talk with some Indian Dude. We knew he was lying because we were to. We call later and we left call back numbers for PD, certain ""workers"" we left call back numbers for School & certain teachers, students, and what the subject were. Some subjects were funny as heck, back then you could say what it was now days if you say it you get heat & hate. Those were the days😂, ps: oh yeah we used school phone there was an office that had a phone. It was really easy to sneak in to. It last about 2 months I guess they found out where the calls were from the Place was lock down and no more phones. The school or PD never said anything about it there was no notice to parents nothing it was a ghost who did it.🤫
as fake as she was, it was very entertaining, all of these hacks were fun, Ms. Cleo, heck Billy D Williams was hawking this stuff for a while, and don't for get that crook Don Lepre that was selling...something rather....they all were terrible but I still watched it and enjoyed it despite never in a million years calling up and getting their crap or buying it psychic crap.
@@little_thebodyguard3032 Actually, quite the opposite. They are two women of completely different races conning the public by pretending to be Jamaican. They have many similarities, but race isn't one of them.
As soon as I saw the title I shouted “CALL ME NOW” lol
Can’t stop saying it 😂

Her commercials subsequently provided great material for disk jockeys and comedians making soundboard prank phone calls.
"CALL ME NOOOW!"
Do SoftRam '95, it's a infamous scam
I couldn't stand these infomercials!!! They were all over the preview channel where I lived. After a while the voice just went down your spine!!
Dude I love how your videos cover all sorts of topics IN DETAIL. Keep up the good work

Still more ethical than Sylvia Browne. Miss Cleo was an actress and she was a very good one.
Deon Warrick and the psychic friends network was better😅
Professor Xavier in the corner here pressing f to doubt.
Much respect Miss Cleo rip

90s legend.
Lol more nostalgia. 😊😁 We really need a video on Santo Gold (not Santigold).
The 90s sucked. Here is proof.
Psychics still exist and post flyers at the local supermarkets ad board. There are even some cultural flavours, like an Ethiopian or Caribbean wizard.
You mean scammers.
And here I am working at a real job like an idiot. If only I didn’t have any morals.
As a Brit is the American version of Mystic Meg or Derek Accorah?
Your channel is almost at 800 videos. What are you going to do for that marker?
Nobody does a milestone thing for the number of videos.
She’s why I believe in the heart of the cards.
MISS CLEO!! BUMMBACLOCK YEAH
Bummer
"you can call me miss Cleo"
what kind of person sets out to rip people off?
