We traveled to Pir Chanasi also spelled as Peer Chanasi or Pir Chinasi and even Peer Chinasi.
Pir Chinasi is a shrine and a tourist destination located about 30 kilometers east of Muzaffarabad, the capital city of Azad Kashmir administered by Pakistan. It is located on the top of hills at a height of 2,900 meters.
We traveled in our trusty Honda City 2005 and it was an experience to remember. We started our trip from Hotel La Orillam Muzaffarabad at around 09:00am and reached Pir Chanasi in about 2 hours. You can also go through the Pir Chinasi Google Maps route if you are not familiar with the route.
From Islamabad, the travel distance to Pir Chinasi is almost 138km, meaning it can take up to 4 hours to reach the shrine of Sayed Hussain Shah Bukhari.
This place is also visited by tourists, for the view of Muzaffarabad and rural areas around the hidden city. The area is also famous for paragliding and snow cross jeep rallies.
