I am typically not a fan of covers but this is absolutely sublime. I’ve been an Eric Martin fan since the 415 days but this is a new level of greatness in his talent.
Eric and his band 415 came and played one day during lunchtime at San Marin High in either my junior or senior year, which would have been either late '79; '80; or maybe early '81. I've been a huge fan of Eric ever since. My longtime school mate John (Juan) Alderete would (not long from then) become the stellar bass player for Racer X, who featured Eric's "Mr. Big " amazing guitarist /musician Paul Gilbert. Eric would sound great singing a phone book, for those who recall what those were.
