I never thought Rawsonville is so big always thought it is a very small town. The properties are well kept. A very nice town. Thank you for showing us this nice town. Very interesting. Till the next trip
I didn't know what to expect in Rawsonville, but was pleasantly surprised around every corner. It's a well-sized town in very pretty surroundings. 🍇⛰️🌊 Thank you for hopping on board again to check out a town you didn't know. It was fun and we'll do the same tomorrow! 🚙😁
Hi guys another gem surrounded by wine yards shame about the weather but still very interesting to me. The high school and hostel looked lovely and the beautiful DRf Church really stood out after the rains a whiter shade of white the history Sonia told us about really fills in the gaps. Loved the enchanted oak looked very inviting I could see myself having a whisky to warm up at the barrel bar .( I hope the lady didn't have to blow up a balloon for each of her grans 80th birthdays) the biltong looked tasty so I had some myself!!! I always like to see a functioning library and the plaques were interesting .I did notice a fish and chips shop love it the whole area looks so green after the rain with the mountains in the distance. Thanks for taking me along cheerio till the next one
We loved our visit to the town and the rain actually made it extra cool, although it's tough to film in the rain sometimes! 😅🌧️ Those venues looked super cozy in the drizzly weather, I would join you in a heartbeat at the barrel bar. Cheers! 🥃🍺 Methinks the lady had to blow up all 80 balloons, what a job! 🎈I'm always so happy to hear that you raid your biltong stash when you watch our videos! 🤣🥓 You're right, everything looked so much greener and brighter after the wash from above. 🍇🌳 So glad you enjoyed Rawsonville, we did too! 🚙
Ooh liewe jinne.....Iove this place. First time I see it. Totally my vibe. So neat the houses all the green. I'm in love. The kaggel looks like a great spot. Thanks for showing me. Super town🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi I'm inundated with the episodes running late, but nevertheless you were right on my doorsteps being in Worcester...and the rain came indeed....the Breederivier was in full flow on the 25th indeed...safe travels u2...🎉
Yes, we missed the big rains by a week! 😳🌧️ When we were in Bonnievale earlier that day, the Breede was already flowing strongly and made at least one road impassable, so I can't even imagine what it must've looked like after the superstorm. Our videos will always be there for you to catch up on. 🚙😁
Hi you two! Thank you for another very interesting trip. Never mind the clouds and the rain! It just adds to the beaty of nature and of the town. Thanks to Sonia for the history of the place. That loong bridge indicates that the Breede River can indeed run very broad. The green tree lined streets are very beautiful. I have never been to Rawsonville, but from what you showed us it really is a place where I could live a happy life. With places like Enchanted Oak, Die Kaggel and the ChrisMa butchery, who would wish to live anywhere else than in Rawsonvillle? It looks like there was indeed a feast being laid out at Die Kaggel. I appreciate the history of the town being so citizen centered - the church, town management etc. They can do it, they will do it! I nearly lost my mind when I realized that I wasn’t able to reach out and grab that packet of biltong from you lap! I’ll get over it. I’m ready for the next trip! Keep safe!
We also felt that our experience of the town was enhanced by the cloudiness and the constant drizzle and rain. It painted a very pretty picture in and around town! 😍🌧️ We found such homely atmospheres in all the places we stopped and few things can top a cozy burning fireplace on a cold, wet winter's day! 😁🔥 I do believe that quality of life is good here, what with all the incredibly beautiful natural beauty which surrounds the lucky folks who live there! 🍇🌳⛰️ Top 5 biltong in the WC, mind you! Eat your heart out! 🚙🥓
I’m playing catchup - and so enjoying your delightful travels again (as always!). This was a lovely visit - I know the rain and wind made it a bit of a challenge, but it definitely didn’t detract from the experience!
Hi Curtis Sonia and Dusty, this has been a lekker trippie so far, thoroughly enjoying every minute, never been to Rawsonville, only spotted the signs, such an eye opener, thanks again, safe travels ❤
I really enjoyed this episode, especially seeing the new residential development that I had just viewed on P24 earlier, the Church is really majestic, I agree the rain cleans and clears, that restaurant/function facility really looks great, I used to drive through Rawsonville often but seldom stopped except for petrol. Interesting history at the library, that library looked quaint and inviting 😊 We get to see so much on our adventures with the two of you..
Rawsonville has grown from the tiny little town I remember. Pity about the rain but at least you didnt let it put you off. Those wines look very tempting, I have had some very good wine from this area. Yes that is a very lovely oak tree. Holsloot!🤣😂In spite of the rain. the old buildings still look beautiful. Die Kaggel looked so cosy. Especially on such a grey day.Laughed to see the old boeppenstil on the way out. Aha! The biltong monster strikes again!!! So pretty, the vineyards with the mountains in the background. Even the clouds adds atmosphere. I will have a glass of wine on your behalf!! Cheers!🍷🥰Mobile bottling truck...BUT!!! Did you notice the sky??? OMW!!!
We couldn't help but notice the sky. 😍☁️ The grey clouds kept watch over us the entire time of our visit and even thought we were thirsty a time or two! 🚙🌧️
I have been through Rawsonville many times but never seen die Kaggel Restaurant....definitely worth a stop and visit next time. Very interesting vineyards around Rawsonville. It took quite a few years for them to finish the main road through the town but it was a job well done.
I gather the shoulder is feeling a-okay this morning! 🤞🏻💪🏻 Die Kaggel is definitely well worth a visit, especially if the kaggel is going, it looked so cosy in there, coming in from the dreary weather! 🔥 You clearly know the area very well, we were very happy to visit it for the first time. 🚙🍇🛣️
Hi guys a lovely place surrounded by wine yards. Shame about the weather but for me it is still a interesting experience the history about the town fills in the spaces. The high school and hostel looks stunning and the Drf church was outstanding I agree with you the white looks whiter after the rain loved the enchanted oak ( I hope the lady blowing up the balloons didn't have to blow up 80 for her grans birthday some job ) the exposed walls looked great and the barrel bar just the right weather to pop in for a quick whisky lol .I hope the biltong was tasty I couldn't help having some myself and. Driving around the suburbs I noticed again a lack of high walls and encouraging to see Bredas zigt new builds. Always like to see a functioning library and the plaque s were really interesting 👌 I did spot the fish and chips shop love it how interesting the mobile bottling plant I've seen these before on programmes about wine yards in France ..the whole area looked beautiful and green with the mountains in the distance. Thanks for taking me along cheerio till the next one

nice town
Yup, that it is! 🚙👌
I went on the bridge several times to get to the town, and after hearing about the Breede River flood last year, we still use it

@@DustBugsTravel Thanx. Shoulder is getting better but still no driving and according to the dr another 8months before 100%☹️
THE RAIN. I WOULD IMAGINE, WOULD BE BETTER THAN THE HEAT OF GARIES HEY, NOT SO TIRERING. THANX ONES AGAIN. BE SAFE. B/DORP
We don't mind the rain, as long as it's not too chilly! 🥶 We love the heat, but the 40+°C we experienced in the Garies area was intense! 🥵
Pragtige dorpie.
It really is, it was a pleasure to visit Rawsonville, even in the rain! 🚙😍
Still here with u❤️❤️😂

Happiness, thank you! Always appreciate your company on the road! 🚙🤩
@charlietreston4035 That bottling and labelling plant on wheels was so interesting. There really is a truck for everything! 🍇🍷🚛
Did you get home just in time to miss the rains and floods?
We got plenty of rain and wind along the way, but we missed the superstorm by a mere week. 😳🌧️ We were back home when that happened.
Hiers êk wèer, wonder net waar is die oorsprong van die Breede rivier
I believe in the Skurweberg mountain range near Ceres. ⛰️🌊
Never been there.
Another beautiful town is Wolseley not far from Worcester.
