Theory: Houston wanted to send Astrodude into space by telling him that there’s space oil so he can file the job. All he wanted was for him to die and his life goal was complete.
Tbf, Houston is not too bad as a character or should I say... Antagonist, he is clearly more experienced and educated than Astrodude (but we can excuse that since Astrodude is younger than him so he is just learning). I understand why people hate him due to his lack of concern for Astrodude's safety in space and won't mind replacing him in case he dies in space. But, in the "Surviving Venus" events, I think he saw Astrodude as an incompetent astronaut since no one has ever survived being in Venus' surface, he later becomes more docile afterwards after learning Astrodude somehow survived Venus and escapes. Houston doesn't sound that much annoyed at him during that time he was at Mars and even sends SAR to save him when he initially refused during the events of "Surviving Venus". And in the video "Can we drink WATER from Mars?", he sounded like he was obviously pissed off at Astrodude for making him spend millions over a piano but still he said "NEXT TIME, take funding seriously, Astrodude." Which makes me think that he will be helping the astronaut nevertheless. So Houston had some slight character development... Like a little bit if you ask me. However, he still likes to get Astrodude into trouble by nearly getting him sued because of the Space Treaty. All of this makes me feel that that Houston is a great character as an *antagonist* but not that powerful enough to be a *villain* 🤔😀
Solarballs, but only when Huston is Shown or Speaking I could have named the title Huston being mean for 4 minutes straight because of how mean he is, but there was 1 "half-decent" scene, so I can't 😭 This is a montage of every single time Huston appeared in solarballs. It's not very often, if you can tell from the video length, but when he appears, it's usually not good...
Houston is just so unconcerned when Astrodude's in danger. :( If/when Astrodude comes back to Earth, do you think he'll file a lawsuit against Houston?
As I watch the "How to become a Space Explorer" It's possible that Houston WANTED Derek to go to space since he's a fan of him but Derek rejected the offer and since Astrodude was chosen he might be a bit mad. Derek also find Houston annoying to him since he didn't even bother saying his real name which I don't blame him to be fair
@@uagniza Yeah. I also wonder: What if Astrodude and Derek went to space together, instead of Astrodude alone? After all, it's best not to go alone in space, and they'd be able to help each other out. I wonder how differently the planets would react. And in that case, would SAR try to put both Astrodude and Derek to sleep on Mars? 🤔
Houston wants Astrodude to die he wanted Astrodude to go outside Mars without a suit so Astrodude can die and Houston can go to space I think that's just my theory tho
He’s prob my Favorite Human character. Even though I hate him at the same time
SAME HERE BRO/ brother
Same! It's really hard to fully hate him, yet fully like him at the same time. Houston is quite a well-written character. :)
He mixes villainous and humorous perfectly

@@sanasiddiqui18 .
Huston has got to my third favorite character, and this shows why.
He’s a villain with a lot of lore behind why he is actively trying to murder astrodude.
I hope we see plot character development though

2:16 The way they just dont animate squish and stretch makes it look so weird, but its so perfect at the same time.

You forgot the part where he listened into AstroDude's conversation with his wife.
