No matter what anyone say about KSA, I will never stop loving him. I'm not KSA's fan, I'm his fanatic. 1984 Yoruba WAEC asked for Oríkì ìbejì which i wasn't taught in school, I remembered KSA's music: "Táyélolú Ijó lòwò......" and i poured it down verbatim. I scored A1. Again, I met KSA in Sheraton Lagos sometimes around 1994, he gave me #2,000. Imagine 2k in thr 90s! I love KSA 4ever ❤❤❤. If there is another life, I will like KSA to come as a woman so that I may marry him😂😂😂 or come as his 1st son and take good care of him in his old age🎉
@Àgbàlẹtù, thank you very much for this interview, I learnt so much, epecially towards the end of the interview. The baba had one wife yet his children are not taking care of him. If he had many wives and more children, we would have thought this was responsible for the children's recklessness. Meanwhile another man that impregnated various women all the town without taking care of the children is well taken care of by those children at old age. This life no balance o. Every man must prepare for his old age and never expect help from anyone.
Lovely interview however Baba Oni did not understand that being moved from *Booking Manager to Personnel Manager* was a promotion. He thought it was a demotion. Secondly, KSA’s generosity is highlighted by the fact that he allowed Baba Oni to take all the bands earning of N84,000 in 1982 when he said his mother passed on to eternal glory. The question I asked myself was that if he had such money he could have been a millionaire. A plot of land in Ibadan was just N500 then, a house in the UK fully paid for was £21k, at that time Naira was stronger than the Pounds. So, KSA was right when he said his band members never saved for a rainy day. This guy could have easily become a millionaire, send his children to the best schools with that kind of money that he was allowed to take without repaying a dime. I’m sure if they’d ask him what he used the money for he’ll probably say it was ‘nothing’. Lastly, his story is really a life lesson to us all as the Yoruba’s will say, ‘okele gbigbe pelu itelorun’.
What Agbaletu should explained to this Baba is that the amount of money he mentioned he.was being paid by KSA that time was far more than what a Federal Permanent Secretatry earned those day. A Federal Perm Sec salary in 1981 was 230 Naira while a Director earns 185 Naira. This can be fact checked. Mismanagemt is the cause of some of their problem. Even though Band leaders excesses was much. Considering the fact that Baba I K Dairo band boys were about to buiof houses from thr proceeds of their earning musically how much more KSA band boys whom i believe earns more than Baba I K Dairo's band boys by virtue of both their international and local engagement exposure. Agbaletu should always try to explain the value of Naira and what it worth in value those years. KSA should consider supporting this men now with whatever is convinient and affordable for him. He can forgive whatever any or all of them have done to him and just support them. These men too should forgive KSA and ensure healthy reconcilaition so that these men too can end well. Well done Agbaletu.
This reminds me of when Babasala was to be moved from his position as a gate man to the office as a clerk, he rejected the new position and resigned on the ground that "ko si nkan ta le pon la ni office "..so all this happens for real. Education is never a scam. Illiteracy and ilara destroyed the baba.
Without a doubt...Mr. Dele.. you are an exceptional interviewer... your, style of "digging" deep in extracting information,is quite phenomenal...the, good, the bad, and the ugly, of both the masters and band boys... lessons learnt, from this particular episode,is the law of retributive justice, (Karma),coming home to roost... Definitely... nothing lasts forever... Above all,a big thank you for your exploits in the field of journalism... kudos to you and your esteem staff.. 🙏🙏👍
KSA did not sack him. He decided to sack himself probably because of his low education. He left the band because he refused to accept the offer of a personnel manager. It is a pity. I hope God will touch the heart of KSA to assist him in his old age.
Good work you are doing Mr Agbaletu… it would be nice if you can introduce having a glass cup of water on a desk for your guests. The guest on this episode needed a drink at some point but he kinda waved it aside which is not healthy… do consider
Yes baba your sleeping habits will be affected due to the job, but baba there're somethings, that are things, that you did also during that period. You left with anger and there are things also you need not be saying out baba. Things spiritual should be kept spiritual. If KSA listen to this, podcast he will not be happy with you sir.
Ebenezer Obey head did not harbour evil because he was and still on God's destiny for him. God's ordained work for anybody on earth cannot harbour evil because God will always back it up.
Baba Oni. you don't need to say something here because you don't work with him anymore. It shows you guys playing as his band men, along with KSA, are jealous, envy of him , you band men not happy with him. None of you appreciate and grateful to him.
Baba misunderstood KSA due to animosity he has for his Boss. Since he knew how to decode KSA according to his statement here, PM would have been a good job for him. Maybe there were also issue of money, because he confessed it here himself that they do ste.l money. I think agidi Ijesa ( apologies to all my lovely Ujesha people) is disturbing this Baba. Baba KSA should please look at his side.
Illiteracy is a terrible challenge. However, the man obviously preferred the position of BM over PM because there were possibilities of getting fringes in that position than being in the human resource unit.
It was a demotion. They were just trying to be political about it. He knew it. They knew it. In a cash and carry business that the band was back then, booking manager was a pretty powerful position
Personnel Manager manages personnel i.e people/staff. That job role later became Human Resources Manager. In the recent past, it's now given appellations such as People Manager, Human Capital Manager etc.
On rejection of the post of Personnel Manager by the Baba, it has more to do with the lack of education. Education is key for success in any profession.
I like the man intelligent ways of asking questions and you will know that he had the experiences of so many musician's music collections to the extends of assisting them to answers some difficult questions correctly.
@@silasokojie9349 but with this kind of statement, ksa won't like to help him, oro ma mi nikun agba ni, gbogbo ohun toju bari ko ni enu ma so, I'm from ogun family, my great grandfather's both my father and mother side were hunters, not all things u saw u must say.
My takes What is the meaning of a jo dale ni? In what sense? Do they contribute money and things like that. In much as Agbaletu is always on KSA matters. Does insurance companies or banks can be accused if life goes sours after services? For me people don’t manage their resources well no matter what.
Baba please kindly give honor to who honor is due to. KSA dancing is his styles and thing. He formed it, know and his signature baba. Please go to KSA, and iron it out or you forget, forgive and move on please. Personal Assistant, is more weighty than marketing manager. Baba you left with anger sir instead of meeting with your Oga, and talk it our sir. This women you kept on talking about, really made you bitter baba, please kindly let it go sir. Baba is stubborn, being an Insane man. Please go to KSA sir.
Please Agbaletu , kindly explain to Mr Folorunsho Oni that personnel manager is not the same as personal manager. Personnel manager is the same as Human resource manager Which somehow puts even the booking manager under him. His illiteracy put's him out of the band not KSA.
If he retires at the age of 41 years old 40 years ago and he's not doing well for himself now ,that means he's not a pushful person. He's not ambitious himself
The old man was making money to get dates for their customers as a booking manager of Sunny Ade organization while there's no way he can make money as a personel manager for Sunny Ade organization
Sorry to say this, both Sunny ade and Ebenezer Obey are just wicked individual and not God fearing human being. They should have help those guys who are with them when they formed the organization when they are in zero level.

Different people, different strokes. Late Segun Oosa, Alhaji Tiamiyu and Bob Aladeniyi shared different experiences.
Thank you

AGBELETU you're competent. Please keep doing this good job.
Thanks for sharing❤
Dean of old skool and historical transparency 🎉
Ebenezer Obey cannot be destroyed by anyone, because,he is specially created by God and gifted.
Kindly invite some composers who had composed for these top musicians to come and share their experiences and their works
Ebenezer Obey head did not harbour evil because he was and still on God's destiny for him. God's ordained work for anybody on earth cannot harbour evil because God will always back it up.

Agbaletu, my parent have old clean plate record, I can give them out
Agba, there are some issues you ought to have edited from this recording, like his family issues of his children.
Agbaletu kindly pay attention to the sound quality from your station. We hardly hear what the baba is saying ditto the last guest before him

For the booking manager role, baba might be getting some cut from the booking manager role .... hence why Baba left
It was a demotion. They were just trying to be political about it. He knew it. They knew it. In a cash and carry business that the band was back then, booking manager was a pretty powerful position

Baba missed his opportunity because of ignorance.
Weldone AGBALETU
I respect this guy named “Agbaletu” Keep it up Brother!
I like the man intelligent ways of asking questions and you will know that he had the experiences of so many musician's music collections to the extends of assisting them to answers some difficult questions correctly.
Agbaletu you're the best
Bàbá why should you be revealing the spiritual secrets of your band?. Its unfair.
I didn't expect this papa to talk all secrets in public, wiwo ni enu awo wo.
When you are old you will talk same way, old people don't hide anything at old age. Go and listen to the other people interview.
😂😂😂😂

Small mind. Hmmmmmmm
There are some things that you should have left untouched, e.g, the spiritual aspects of KSA band. None of them is innocent.
Sikiru Onibudo Alias "For Sure" was my uncle..
kudos oga mi......ijesha man ni baba, inu won leeeee.upgrading niiiiii,
A personnel manager is the manager in charge of employment, recruitment etc
Interview with respect, Mr Oni probably older than your Dad.

We will support baba
Sunny Ade recorded lot of singles with green spot at Afican Songs.
Come on this is over 60yrs ago.

It is becoming very boring for me
Sorry to say this, both Sunny ade and Ebenezer Obey are just wicked individual and not God fearing human being. They should have help those guys who are with them when they formed the organization when they are in zero level.
