Hello. This is roninpooh.
The car I'm currently driving is an RS Advance 3.5L multi-stage hybrid, which is Toyota's 15th generation Crown.
I enjoy the comfortable driving experience of this FR car, the Crown.
Previously, the Toyota Crown was an FR sedan, but there were rumors that the next Crown would be an SUV rather than a sedan, but at the Toyota Crown World Premiere, the 16th generation Crown will be available in four types: crossover, sports, estate, and sedan. was announced to appear.
I prefer FR three-box sedans to FF-based 4WD.
Sport and Estate are not three-box models, so they are not eligible for transfer.
If I had to choose between new models, it would be a crossover or a sedan.
Then, the 16th generation Crown appeared.
The vehicle that was released first was the FF-based 4WD Crown Crossover SUV.
I test drove the Crown Crossover RS 2.4L Turbo Hybrid, which has a similar system output to the Crown I drive.
When I looked at the car body, my first impression was, ``This is not a Crown.''
Power was the same as the RS Advance 3.5L Hybrid.
It was easy to get in and out of the car because it was high.
However, there was no feeling of being pushed from the rear, which is unique to FR cars, and I was disappointed with the impression that there was a lot of road noise.
I didn't feel like switching to this crown because the one I'm currently riding is better.
I test drove the Crown sedan 2.5L multi-stage hybrid.
When I saw the car body, I had a good impression: ``It's big and cool'' and ``This is the revival of the Crown Majesta.''
From the moment I started driving, I could feel the quietness and driving characteristics of an FR car, just like the Crown I'm currently driving.
Although the system output is lower than the Crown I'm currently riding, the motor output has improved due to the multi-stage hybrid gearing, so I didn't feel it lacked power during the test drive and the ride was very comfortable. That was an impression.
``Let's switch to a Crown sedan!'' I thought to the dealer.
However, the dealer replied, ``Even if we wanted to sell it, we cannot accept orders because the number of units in stock is unknown.If it is a crossover, we can sell it right away.''We were told that we would have to enter a lottery to order the Crown sedan. I did.
The number and timing of the lottery are unknown.
There have been two lottery draws so far, and the delivery time has been long, with only one sedan actually being delivered.
The reason seems to be that the number of sedans manufactured is very small in the first place.
In late March, I was contacted by the dealer and was told that a limited number of units would be available for order in April on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are no discounts on the car body or all options.
Delivery time is about 1 year.
Trade-in appraisal is not possible.
Due to long delivery times, inspection of the current vehicle and vehicle inspection costs will be borne by the customer.
Cancellation not possible.
Resale is not possible after delivery.

I was told that there were only 3 units left to order.
I feel like this is definitely a seller's market.
I ordered it because I thought I wouldn't be able to order it at any other time.
The body color of the current Crown was Precious Black Pearl, but since the car gets very hot during car washes in the summer, this time I chose Precious White Pearl, which is the same white color as the Alphard I used to drive, and the interior color was mid brown.
The options you ordered are

panoramic roof

black package
as a dealer option
IR (infrared rays) cut film for rear seat windows
and
Basic "highly recommended" set
