One night is was just me and my dad out at like 1:30 on a Saturday and conditions were kinda shit corners and straights were icy and slippery and we were on a narrow trail past Talbots corners I’m in front of him doing about 55-65 and this group of assholes who were probably all boozed up flew past me and me dad in a power wheelie doing like 90 down the center of the trail forcing me and my dad to pull completely off the side of the trail. If we weren’t headed back we would’ve caught them and said something but we just let it be
Think everyone needs to have fun but be respectful to others. They should of came up behind u guys let u know they were there maybe so u could pull over let them by. I ride very fast but would never just shoot by anyone without letting them know i was there first. But when i was younger i did stupid stuff young and dumb i guess. Didn’t do it out of disrespect just didn’t think about things like i do now. Still like to ride fast but do it when its not dangerous to anyone else.
This!! I couldn’t have explained it better! Trust me I love to go fast and hit jumps but I love seeing everyone make it home safe at the end of the day even more!!!! If I had known it wasn’t my fam behind me I would have stopped. There was a stop sign and intersection about a mile past where that happened and I totally woulda let them pass !
@@JVlogs3 Remember when i was just a young boy maybe 11 years old riding tug. We myself father grandfather and friends were pulled to side of trail. Group of sleds came around the corner one new 700 wild cat side swiped me and my sled didn’t stop. Luckily i wasn’t hurt but man my father was pissed. He chased after that guy like u in ur video lol!! Never had kids but im sure if i did id be very upset myself like my father was and u were. If u don’t look out for ur family who will right. Think its awesome ur out there with ur boy and family. My fathers 76 now we still best of friends still ride together much as we can. Snowmobiling is a bond like no other hunting might be a close second. @@joshgessinger4509 I’m glad you didn’t get hurt! Your father was doing his job! It’s crazy to me how many people think stuff like this is ok. People don’t realize how quick life can get ya
How do let them know you're there? I see it all the time, people are in their own world, can go for miles behind someone and they have no clue you are there even if you move over to your left to let them know you want to pass.
By not doing 80 around someone going over a hill. There are many intersections where we ride and they are not far apart. I’m not sure where ur at but basically make your best judgment based on the trail. Ride how you would like others to ride around you. No one around? Send it, see ppl? Be cautious. Be patient, be safe, don’t be dumb. You’ll be fine lol
When I lead a pack, the pack goes the speed the least experienced rider can go. With your kid in the pack you should be riding so you can see em at all times, especially at night. The trail hogs don’t care who they pass
When I turned around, i honestly thought it was my fam behind me. It’s night, thin and icy. I turn around see two sleds “bet they right behind me”. If I pulled up to the intersection 2 min down the trail I woulda stopped and saw it wasn’t them and let them pass! My uncle is in the back, behind his kid and im upfront leading the way. We do this literally on purpose to try n protect him as much as we can! I lost my hand mirror I usually use I need another one after all this
Pretty sketchy at those speeds especially at night. People are a lot more confident on newer sleds but you never know when you might catch a bump or an edge that sends you into the other lane
Out at night riding with your children in a place known mostly for guys running from bar to bar, this one is on you dude. The whole trail system is a passing lane my friend. No matter how fast you're going, someone is always going to be going faster. That's why you ride right and if you see someone beside you move even further right. I was riding on a railbed in Van Buran Maine many years ago leading my group running 70 or so. Guy flew by me like I was standing still. Scared me but taught me to check my mirrors often. My guess is you don't have mirrors cause at night it would have been very easy to see someone coming up on you. And shame on you if you don't and don't look often riding with your kids behind you.
My uncle and his kid were behind me, they sped past them and when I turned around to check I thought it was my family behind me and not them. I did absolutely nothing wrong. Ride safe or stay off the trails. Edit: intersections are not far apart people can wait. Also it was a Tuesday night…. I don’t condone drinking and driving a snowmobile.

Good for you!!! These city slickers come up acting like there are god and need us to put them in there place! Great video!!

Other than deer and drunk people, it's somewhat safer at nigh cause you can see oncoming sleds from their headlights.
I completely disagree on this one @vicktdock , night riding is fun but dangerous
My only point is that you can see oncoming traffic better than in daylight.@@JVlogs3
Its tug hill.most people ride like assholes
Your right!! That’s why this is my least fav place in NY to ride. Sucks that it’s been the ONLY place to ride basically so far
Probably drunk
