Your approach of visualy focusing on the food and well informed commentary is greatly appreciated. During my working years in San fran and Oakland the pan fried noodles were my usual goto for lunch with the other guys. A glorious dish
I don't always eat there when I stay at the Rio, but even with Chinatown just a few blocks away, KJ has long been a pretty solid, relatively affordable option for dim sum.
You're GREAT at tempting us with those dim sum delicacies.:) KJ Dim Sum in Vegas with the push-carts is great. There's also a location inside Harrah's in San Diego and their food is just as good but with a very limited dim sum section that you order off the menu. Looking forward to more of your food videos!
Great video as usual !!! Im kinda surprised that Rio buffet hasn't reopen yet. Most of casinos reopened their buffets already. This place looks legit and I need to try their dim sum. As always stay safe and healthy my friend.
I love dim sum. Thank you for showing the dim sum restaurant in Rio. I didn’t know it, the Rio has the dim sum restaurant there. I go Vegas on September. I will check it out. Thanks
The Chinese restaurant at Rio is the real thing. Besides dim sum, they serve authentic Cantonese Chinese cuisine. Certain dishes are very reasonable. I don't mind the high price of some dishes when they are well made.
KJ's pretty good. But Rainbow Kitchen, New Asian Bbq, Taste, and a couple of others may be equivalent or better. Also KJ is not the highest priced. Here's a link to one of my videos to give you an idea of what's available in Vegas ua-cam.com/video/PwLsWdSVH14/v-deo.html
Omg , every dishes that ordered same as me yesterday. I don’t believe it. Am here in Big Text ther are not many dim sum places but I found one and the waiting was about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It was worth it.👍👍👍
The Rio Buffett was spectacular to see 👀 It was like looking at 3 acres of well prepared food 😋 for like 17 bucks, in the 90's. I'm guessing the bill on your video piece here was around $173.47? Give or take a Nickel? Quality piece my friend 👌
I would if I knew. I only know a few items. Usually the carts come around and I point to whatever looks good. Also most of the people that push carts speak limited English. If you really want to know the Dim Sum items, here's a good place to start... www.thefoodranger.com/what-is-dim-sum-the-ultimate-guide/ .... but I never knew all the names, because it didn't really matter when ordering.
Might have to give this place a try. Not a fan of XLB on foil cup that means weak wrap that will leak. That Shu Mai looks amazing and all those assorted dumplings. Wonder if Yumcha is any good?
Well all the Station casinos announced that they were replacing the buffets because they weren't profitable. I don't know about all the others. The gaming revenue has been setting Records, but things still don't feel the same ... not yet anyways.
I've been in KJ so many times.. That was before the pandemic.. Since then I haven't been able to go back.. Hopefully soon. Have you tried Ping pang pong dim sum??
It's worth a try.. I have a suggestion.. Try Top Sushi and Oysters.. That's on sunset and Greenvalley.. They have an awesome and fast service.. Their rice to sushi ratio is small.. Compared to other AYCE sushi place.. Give them a try!!
Wow! Char sumai, Bao, Dim Sum!!! Both the pork and shrimp sumia are my favorite Dim Sum dishes... I will assume the Rio Seafood Buffet is closed too? I use to love going to the Rio! Thank you for sharing this! You do great work!!!
The Rio is legit as is the buffet, but the seafood costs extra...There is a better spot for asain food about a mile west down the road. They even have Tiger beer...
Damn man you can eat!! were you there by yourself? never been to KJ in the rio. Walked past it at least hundred times though. its weird to expect real Chinese food in a hotel , but i guess its like ping pang pong there are exceptions. price of dimsum has gone up these past couple of years . the prices listed are actually not too bad compared to up here in the Seattle area. most stuff starts at $5 and up these days for the small. that scallop dish though was way overpriced
I have no desire to go back to Vegas until they open most of the buffets; which they probably won't. You can gamble anywhere now within a short drive for most people. I hope I'm wrong. I still enjoy your videos though
The Carnival buffet is permanently closed. The station casino buffets are being replaced by shopping venues. So the buffet scene is still bleak. Thanks for your comment.

Nicely said. My family and I also always order the classic pan fried noodles and/or the salted fish and chicken fried rice.
👍
Delicious looking wonderful food

I love your close up photography. So delisious.
😃
I’ve been there also & enjoyed the dim dim & other’s dishes we got! Including the egg tarts! 😋
👍
Good choice of lunch dishes, I love those too!

I always go to Ping Pang Pong next door at the Gold Coast, you should give it a try next time your in the mood for dim sum
Thanks, I think I will.
I’ll be there in March. Since it’s so close to Ping Pang Pong which do you prefer? Another great video as usual.
I've only been to PPP only a couple of times, and I haven't had their dim sum yet. I plan on trying it sometime soon... I hope.
PPP has great dim sum but can get crowded.

You should try C&K kitchen on 5700 Spring Mountain RD, They have good Dimsum. Noodles warp with beef is the best in town.
Thx for the tip!
Excellent! Hey is youtubing your full time gig?
Nope. I have a full-time job. I had this week off, but back to work tomorrow.
Nice video... 👌I also want to eat them🥟 ..

Drooool !

Always have dim sum there when I’m in Vegas girlfriends favorite spot.

As he mentioned, Orchids Garden is also great and the big plus is their all-day dim sum for those later dim sum cravings.

Idk about the yumcha, I had an iced tea haha. Yeah the XLB is a little subpar.

Which white stuff? Fish filets with the noodles? The large flat wide rice noodles? Both are common items in authentic Chinese cuisine.
