Coca Cola, sometimes war. Sums it up pretty well.
Totally thought it was "Coca Cola, Wonder Bra" 😂
In the 1.verse it is Coca Coca Wonder Bra😂
@@lea444 which is a Canadian invention.
@@PalleRasmussen wrong. It was invented by an Person from New York, but it was produced in Montreal and the Canadians bought the license for the Canadian Market.
@@i_can_c_u_2295 ah, I see. Thank you.
"Und wer nicht tanzen will am Schluss
Weiß noch nicht dass er tanzen muss"
"And who does not want to dance at the end
Does not know that he must dance"
what a powerful line
Und die Tanzen 😂
EXACTLY what's happening today, as always in EU, we got no choice but to dance and pay the price for their proxy war.
Vassals on a leash, a pretty tight and short leash.
Land and least act ...
@@TropicalGardeningCyprusImagine making that an argument against the EU
Schönen #Stolzmonat wünsche ich dir :)
Its all about "Americanization" and influence, forced or otherwise on the world. The lyrics and video are perfect combination. Love the dance metaphor, the whole "don't worry if you don't know what to do WE will show you how it's supposed to be done" , that's great. You got the African tribe eating American style pizza, the monks eating burgers, the holy man with the designer sneakers , the Asian guy dressed like some James Dean style greaser on a motorbike,Santa Claus in Africa and several other things. That strong American influence being common place in the world
@@yronimusylophatius4225 Really? Have you seen the influence of "Trumpism" in hungary or poland? The propaganda spouted by the right wing parties in France, Austria, Germany and many more, which seems nearly copied from the republican speech book?
f imperialism and capitalism
@@DonovanStone-pe7yi do you like colonialism and imperialism ? because this song telling that. uncle sam and his childs, bombing countys and steal oil.
> the holy man with the designer sneakers
And then that man prays facing an oil refinery ;)
plus the allusion to the wild west romance of the 60s and 70s in Europe, when there were plenty of B-grade German westerns, as they should have been, with blond, blue-eyed cowboys and German-speaking Indians. The Karl May subculture, the line that in Italy took the form of the spaghetti western.
The Rammstein boys are never afraid to write potentially controversial songs, but they often do it in a subtle way that's not always obvious. I'd love to go to one of their shows, the pyrotechnics are insane.
Yes, the pyrotechnics are insane but also dangerous. In an interview they admitted that almost every band member now has burn scars from the pyrotechnics. By the way, Till Lindemann is a pyrotechnician himself and is involved in the planning of the show.
@@dirkmerseburger7794 I remember reading somewhere an on set fire in the 90's was at least part of the reason Till became a certified pyrotechnician. With all of the flames and explosions at their shows I would be surprised if they didn't have scars.
@@dirkmerseburger7794 The whole band are licensed pyrotechnicians since many tours ago. I've been in the Feuerzone (foy-er-soo-ne for you non-German speakers), and it is AMAZING. Very hot, flames everywhere, but also very safe.
if it isn't controversial and provocative, it isn't Rammstein.
Subtle? ....if you call smack in the face subtle xD
I love the 'This is not a love song' part, it's so simple yet effective in conveying their message
Well in fact "This is not a love song" comes from the song of the same title by PIL (Public Image Limited) from 1983. John Lydon (previously known as the lead vocalist of Sex Pistols) was the lead vocalist in this group.
Yep, in English just to make sure Americans don't miss the point.
Not love not hate either just is what it is.
@@30110CKs
And yet you'd be surprised how many Americans still think this is actually a love song to Murica.
😂
@@30110CKs And still, many completely miss the point because they couldn't stand the thought of being the bad guys.
“Coca-Cola, sometimes war” gives me goosebumps every time
This song was released shortly after the Iraq war in 2004 and encaptured a lot of the anti american sentiment at the time.
and how much America influences {whether we like it or not} the rest of the world
Well they attacked iran didn't they??? without any reason well except oil....
Never apologize for speaking your mind. If someone wants to hear the song uninterrupted, they can do so elsewhere. Thank you for always saying what’s on your mind :)
If you are affraid to speak out do not bother speaking at all.
As long the human body has a tongue, you are ment to speak. AND SPEAK WE SHALL!
Liked before I watched it, happy to have back your Rammstein reactions ;)
Notice: It's not just a song against America, it's culture-critical. They do the same with their own country ("Deutschland") or Russia, for instance ("Moskau"), even East-Europe ("Donaukinder"). If you take a closer look you see everyone smiling, just adapting to American pop culture. In the end even a choir of children's sings "we're living in America". So it addresses both sides. So yeah, it's critical but also cynical :) The fake moon-landing is just joking around, they are not conspiracy theorists at all ;) Happy new home, too, Aileen!
You talk like manipulation and forcing someone to live your culture isn't a thing. Everyone smiling means they got brainwashed by america, like... it's not "both sides" fault. The fake moon-landing at the end means that the idea of america is fake, as it's pure propaganda and they use it to conquer other countries.
I think Rammstein was using the concept of a "fake" moon landing to underline the fact that it was a bit of political theater; the Space Race was all about the first country to do something big, to say "we're the best", not necessarily for altruistic, exploratory, scientific reasons.
We literally went there & planted a flag, Americanizing even the moon.
(See Eddie Izzard's fabulous stand-up bit about flags.)
The only reason that the reason matters is that we have no further political motivation (currently) to continue exploring space in a larger way.
Die Mondlandung soll die Scheinwelt visualisieren❤from Vienna
I was born 1959 in Salzburg, Austria, living a stone's throw away from the german border. My teenage years were the 60's and 70's. Back then, everything that came out of America was good, great, and worth striving for. Probably the effect of the post-war period and major economic aid from the US. As a student I was in the States for a few weeks in 1981. That was eye-opening for me. I had to realize that the US isn't just Disneyland. I realized that the US does a lot of things just for economic reasons. Everything is subordinated to economic success and the resulting power. The Rammstein video addresses this very well. They do a good job as always.
I think your reaction is great, especially the comparison with the difference between living in the States and living in Mexico.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of America. But the constantly growing fundamentalism makes me increasingly sad.
Please keep it up, I always check your posts and will continue to do so.
Great commentary that speaks for itself. Especially that little disclaimer at the end, ha ha.
@@DonovanStone-pe7yi Loving your country is good and right. And it's also important not to forget your roots, wherever they are meant to be. By the way, Niederndorf is on the way from Innsbruck (Tyrol) to Salzburg. In between there is only a little bit of Germany (deutsches Eck).
Take a look at Volker Pispers and your image of the USA should be completely destroyed by then at the latest. Of course, the USA does not only consist of government, but the population is not the issue here.
Small detail about the music video, they showed a "making of" of how they did the low gravity effect. They actually recorded the moon scenes with the music playing double speed and slowed the video footage back down to match the song at normal speed. So then we get the band singing and playing with the song, but they jump around at 1/6th gravity. You can also see Till's hair move slow as well.
They upload their "making of" videos on their official UA-cam channel. The band members are also very clear about what the song is saying and how they feel during the short interviews.
Yeah you smart Lady, thats what it is, Rammstein loves to create, this is so wonderful, sarkasm, humor, darkness, edgy, , scary - nothing just for itself, everything for Artwork, with room for interpretation and with a message, looooove it! Hug you Aileen, bis bald!
"This is not a love song" says it all right there.
Your passion and genuin emotions with pro reactions to genuin music is a delight to witness!!
This was my first song into Rammstein and was hooked ever since. Was excited to hear your analysis about theme of the video (yucky at the fake activists) and you always nail it. Plus, first reaction in the new place?? We love to see it, it's cute as can be
I guess I can't speak for everyone...but personally, I love the pause breaks - hearing your thoughtful insights are what I'm here for! ❤😊
Can't wait for more rad and genuine reactions. 👍
You are just so spot on, as always!! Love you, and your channel! 😍
Good to see you, Aileen. Good analysis, as usual. If the song had been written more recently, I think the song would have been even darker.
Their pyrotechnics at their shows are phenomenal
very true!! felt like my eyebrows were gonna get burnt off at the concert 🤣
@@AileenSenpai if you haven't already, you should check out Richard Kruspe's band Emigrate. He's the lead guitarist for Rammstein and Emigrate is his band on the side. Good stuff!

Great analysis, I am so happy that you celebrate Rammstein, love from germany, have a nice weekend
I love your pointed and astute thoughts on music.
❤❤❤❤
Man, what a blast from the past hearing this song again after at least a decade.
La primera canción de Rammstein, qué oí en mi vida!! Me pareció una banda muy original!! Y por supuesto lo siguen siendo!! De lo mejor del rock, de todos los tiempos!!❤❤
Rock 😭
You are still one of the best reactors out there! Keep up the good work!🎉
In spirit of their upcoming anniversary release, you should do a full album reaction of Sehnsucht. I think many would appreciate your dissection of the more unknown songs of the Rammstein catalogue, since you are one of the few who regularly dive into the band and on top of that do it so amazingly well. Keep it up! Cheers from Sweden
This 🙌
The drums for Rammstein always goes hard i love it 🔥♥️
Seen Rammstein 3 times, best live band ever, going to see Till Lindemann's solo tour in december.
Wish i could see them 3 times, only visited my country once but definitely best live act I’ve seen

Live version of this pls :) You are lovely as always.
this is my favorite video, the song is great and the message is told in a clear way.
Una canción muy hipnotica, como tus ojos bella Aileen!!😉❤❤
I honestly just love your voice
Your such❤😅 beautiful soul Aileen and also I enjoy insights on music.
Hi Aileen!! Fellow Chicano here! I think on one of your last Rammstein's videos, you brought up about going to the Rammstein concert. I went to the one in San Antonio in September!! IT WAS AWESOME!! Sonne was so awesome! You bring up good points in this video of the Americanization of the world. Just like you, I have alot of relatives in Mexico. Keep making these awesome videos! Your videos always kick ass!! 🤟

So happy to c u reacting to my favourite Band again! Please don't let me wait that long again till the next time!😅

YAY! Back with Rammstein - hooray!
Great reaction like always, I absolutely love this song and video and the message it conveys. If you haven't watched video for their song Zick Zack I definitely recommend that one next, it's one of my favorites by them so far 🤌🏻 😁.
Erstklassig wiedergegeben um was es hier geht.Denn es gibt einige die das ganz anders sehen.Hat mich gefreut dich wieder einmal bewundern zu dürfen.😎👍🌹
For this video, the group had to mime playing their instruments faster than usual and had the cameras recording at a slightly different speed, so the appearance of being weightless was shown. Rammstein also have a number of videos showing the "Behind the scenes" and production processes of various of their videos, each one might also be worthwhile doing as a react video. Also, at the end of this video, a fake moon rock is seen being carried, possibly poking fun at one of the moon landings conspiracies that involves a photo of a lunar rock that shows a "C" on it.
When this song's done in their concerts, Flake is often seen playing a keyboard whilst riding around on a Segway. And once, he accidentally drove into Till, causing Till to limp for quite a while afterwards.
As always though, good reaction. And pauses once in a while are always necessary, if just to deal with the UA-cam issues.
I love that you can pronounce ramštajn (I'm Czech lol 😂) the correct way! Big respect. All other americans say ram stain
Best reaction to the song / video from Rammstein I have seen on UA-cam, got all the meaning to this song, lots don't catch "sometimes war" Don't get me wrong I love the American people "this is not a love song" keep your culture and let others keep theirs that's what make this world special.
This one and Keine Lust are deffinetly my favorite Rammstein songs.
Radio,Radio,Radio,Radio,Radio will be nice!!!🥰👍🥰👍🥰👍😊

For another great band from Germany, I highly recommend "Bastard von Asgard" by Feuerschwanz, featuring Fabienne Erni of Eluveitie. 🙂
One of the funniest Rammstein videos
I went to Comic con at my home town of Indianapolis IN 😎
I have a absolute BLAST!!!!!😱 The cosplayers, the stands, WHOO!!! Can't wait to go there again Next May 😎
👍🙏🏼 very good reaction !!!!!
The most important thing about some (not all in my opinion) songs of Rammstein is, that you reflect on yourself. Without knowing the lyrics and/or the video "Amerika" could be a song of the superbowl halftime-break and most people will join in, singing. (awsome music and a forgeinger singing "we all living in amerika").
Same on the song "Deutschland" for germans on the otherhand.
I hope, I could express in english what I mean. I am looking forward for more "Rammstein" (Angst, Ausländer,...)
with friendly regards Chris
That headscratching fumbling around with that stupid stick to put in the flag to get it to float and the addition of a sophisticated manual for that simple task of sticking that stupid stick into the flag and the two guys becoming desperate with that shit, get's me everytime ... :D
Keine Lust has always been my favorite video of theirs. It helps that it's probably my favorite song of theirs.
Hey Aileen, loving your videos, im surprised you havent checked anything from TILL LINDEMANN :o
Ha! The first time I heard Rammstein was when my history teacher whipped this song out this video in the 10th grade. Used it as a great example of globalization.
The way you pronounced Rammstein - Amerika gave me shivers not gonna lie

It's a Very Good Record !!! The Video is Excellent too !!!
Would love to see you react to some Paleface songs! :D Keep the nice work up!

Not a massive Rammstein fan, but this is superb.
Here, Rammstein impressively shows that America is trying to bring its “way of life” everywhere in the world. A little American superiority is not only to be supported, but also the adoption of American habits is to be expected. Rammstein says the following line of text:
When there is dancing, I want to lead,
Even if you are spinning alone.
Let us control you a little.
I'll show you how to do it properly.
I love your Videos. Thanks from a German. You are always so on Point. Big Fan. Wish you all the Best. PS.: Please Listen to Blackmore`s Night - Village Lantern
Great. Thanks 👍
Hi Eileen ❤ thought you were Philippina at 1. sight ;). Awesome reactions , you’re a gifted speaker ! Maybe you should become a politician
I love the symbolism of rammstein. Their music is great and the symbolism of it all is so damn strong. It makes you love and hate, it makes you think how amazing this world is and yet so corrupt and fucked up
Would recommend you react to ich will(volkerball version) one of the best live videos I have seen from rammstein. The crowd is fantastic in that similar to du hast the French live version video.
I got to finally see them at the LA Coloseum last year, in the Feuer Zone it was great 🤟🤟

Btw. Check out "Till Lindemann" is (was) a german-swedish Metal Project by Rammstein Singer Till Lindemann and the swedish Musician Peter Tägtgren. The latter played all the Instruments for the Band until 2020. The Band officially existed since January 2015. In November 2020, the Musicians announced the End of the Collaboration and a continuation of the Band under Lindemann's sole aegis. Greets from Germany 🦇🤘
