Ya there's quite a few Ai programs heavily re-programmed by woke staff that remove words like beautiful. One even openly admitted to me about blocking mermaid as a word.
Not only am I not buying it, playing it or even watching streamers hate-play it, I've stopped EA Origin from running when my PC boots up, same as I did with Ubisoft Connect. I do not know how else to register my displeasure with EA, their disconnect with me as a former loyal fan of their AAA franchise(s) and how they've naively allowed their company to be misled. It can't strictly be third party consultants like Sweet Baby convincing developers that inserting activism is a good idea. The activists have infiltrated the companies themselves and have found themselves without sane oversight or accountability. I seriously doubt there's any fixing it. They'll jump free of the ship as it sinks and get hired to inject activism elsewhere unless there's firm oversight and accountability.

All seriousness, Dragon Age is/was one of my favorite videogame series of all time. I hate that this game is trash and one of my favorite developers is absolutely going to tank.
I worked as a PR teacher and used Mass Effect 3 ending fiasco as lessons to "What never do". I used Bioware's failures for years so let's take a look. The game was in development hell for almost its TEN years development, with three (perhaps more) reboots, lot of lay offs (50 last year for example), several art directors, several lead directors and we have a game that can only have 71k players peak (almost 72k right now). It cost EA a lot, even worse, they had to rehire the programmers they fired last years as consultants to finish the game just six months after they were fired because the ones they kept were unable to do it themselves... So, even if 24 of 25 customers that bought the game didn't played it (so 96% of customers bought the game but didn't played it), they would have sold 1.75 million units which bring them 86 millions USD turnover, nowhere close to what the game cost. I guess the modern audience does not exist or is broke.
Do not forget that the target audience for Dragon Age is the same as that of Baldur's Gate. Meaning, those 62,000 people are playing BG3 INSTEAD of playing DATV.
Last Epoch had 200-500k players at launch..... Helldivers 2 had over 1 million at launch..... both came from indie-AA studios.... Bioware is a AAA studio, this is pathetic.
Best example I can find to predict Vileguard weekend numbers is Starfield, which peaked 20% higher over the weekend than at launch. 70K on launch is soft for a modern AAA game so it's not looking good for Bioware either way.
Player Numbers aside, the amount of levers bioware had to pull to get even that is crazy. Took a full Media Parade, social media filtering of the clips, a well known Franchise and a week with no real competition to reach get there. If every new woke game has to do that i take it as a win
Its back up to where it was, 68k. I hate it as much as the next guy but the numbers only dropped cause people went to sleep. The budget for this was OVER 250 MILLION DOLLARS so its not making its money back even with sales like this. This is a flop.
They kind of did drop when you think of it, that it was released in the middle of the week. And now is weekend and the numbers are still down -2k at least. That means a lot of ppl already dropped the game because usually player numbers get crazy during the first weekend after release.
Yeah it will probably peak in the weekend, but the numbers are far from great, just compare to any other big launch like Elden Ring and BG3. 70k is a fraction of their numbers
Failguard sisters, we can still win this, the numbers are low because its HALLOWEEEEENNNNNN we will reach more than 100k this weekend, no one plays at halloween! take that Pvt1n, what? Mh Wild is 400k? ohhh noes. Way to throw all good will into the bin Bioware.
These numbers are pathetic, this is Dragon Age, one of the most emblematic RPGs in the history of gaming, not some new IP by some unknown studio, the all time peak should be in the millions. It doesn't bode well for Bioware, I don't think they'll survive this despite their obvious desperate efforts to create an artificial bubble of positivity to hype the game as long as possible, they even got the help of most mainstream review outlets, it still won't cut it, the dragon age has reached its end...
I love this channel..if I ever need my fix of hearing 'pervert' and 'demonic', I know Melonie's got me covered haha. It's all true words, and almost NOBODY else is willing to be this upfront (in gaming)!
Thankfully, all my favorite characters from previous games were excluded from this fan fiction travesty. Makes it easier to watch a once-beloved franchise burn.
I didn’t. Morrigan was a dick. She was raised alone, in the wild, to be a powerful vessel. I love her character, but being around her is annoying. Varrick was ok, but as like a small character. He becomes insufferable with so much screen time (although, DA2 entire cast was forgettable so he becomes a big fish and a small pond).
Been a HUGE fan of DA from the beginning. Origins was the first fantasy RPG that really made me fall in love with the genre. Played whole Inquisition 3 times, and waited the new game with a lot of hype. But this is not what I signed for. Game is garbage, and I'm honestly happy to see it fail so bad. This could only give us the chance to have not another loved franchise ruined by idiots.
Real Bioware died when the became BiowEAr. The writers and developers are gone, many of them have created Archtype Studios and are making a game called Exodus. Wizards of the coast is involved, but lets hope they let them cook and stay out of the development. It's looking promising. If it's successful, maybe they can buy the Jade Empire IP, as that's the only IP BiowEAr hasn't destroyed.
Good big name games like Baldurs Gate 3, Elden Ring, and Black Myth Wukong are doing 800k to 2 million concurrent players in its opening month. Nope Failguard at 70k peak is at best a mediocre seller for its big brand name and budget.
@@tommills9575 That's not what Steam user reviews are. That's people who actually bought the game, regular gamers. They actually like it. The aggregate is at 6K users so far with 80% reviews. That's actually really good. Starfield had 45%.
(Good) Dragon Age ended when the Warden followed Morrigan through the Eluvian to be with his son. Everything after that was a mistake that ultimately went nowhere because "the message" is apparently more important than existential threats.
@@ahsanvirk130I enjoyed 2 and Inquisition, but they were nowhere near the quality of Origins. Inquisition could have been just as good, but forcing in the mmo quest structure severly watered down the experience. It's a shame, because I REALLY loved big parts of it, like the main quests and the villain up till the halfway point.
Make no mistake, the main reason it even has any viewers is morbid curiosity and wanting to see how people walk on the DEI egg shells... it's not on the merits of an awesome cast, awesome story and awesome gameplay.

@@MisanThrope-cu1mw7fj3p I agree! There were characters that were gay or trans and nobody gave a shit, because it reflects the diversity of real life. But making it the whole selling point? The hell?
They could have gotten away with it if they just didn’t use modern terminology in a medieval fantasy game. If they weren’t so lazy and full of themselves they could have had character development with dialogue that made sense for the setting and still had the messaging they wanted to convey. Instead it’s a ham fisted attempt to hammer their message regardless of player immersion and world setting.
@@kristoffsayswhat I don't think "selling point" is the right wording. "The central idea" might be more accurate. Seen some of the in-depth reviews - the game does not respect your intelligence. It's poorly written, and the dialogues treat you like an idiot child who needs either guidance or education. The artificial, moronic scene about "misgendering" is one such example.
The game *lectures* you on woke morality, and you don't really have an option to say "F*** you, I'm not part of your little subculture, do what you want among yourselves, but don't expect me to play along".
But you can do one thing - don't spend your money on this insult to the Dragon Age franchise...
That's what they get for going up against the new Monster Hunter. Which, SURPRISE, is a game players want.
Time to represent the Insect Glaive mains.
Monster Hunter is a much bigger series. 100 million units sold versus 20 million. Dragon Age is niche

BG3 has almost the same numbers😂 And that's over a year old now.
Even if it's $50 a copy. That's only $3,500,000. No way the budget isn't in the $100 million(s).
Meanwhile MHW at 400k
The last game was around $200 million with a smaller staff, only three years of development, and pre-inflation. This could easily be $600 million.

Vote also with your money. What you buy you get more of by supporting it. I was a HUGE fan of Dragon Age. Wore out 2 discs of origins, bought and played II, Inquisition, AND the RPG Book. But this isn't Dragon Age, it's an AGENDA. I HAD to say farewell. R.I.P. Bioware.

Duncan did not die for this!! Justice for Duncan!!
The new Monster Hunter BETA had 464k peak player count, on PC alone. With well over 200k concurrent.
It's absolutely incredible they tried this and were allowed to try this after Anthem
A $70.00 game with a $200,000,000.00 budget, would have to sell around 2.9 million copies to make back their budget.
A lot more than that, actually. They don't make $70 on each game.
@@kelly.mondragonunsure if it is included in the numbers, but factor in marketing and advertisement costs jf they havent been accounted for already that is, and it potentially climbs even farther
@kelly.mondragon I agree, I was just trying to do easy math, so people could grasp how many copies need to sell, just to break even.
the issue is part of the budget is subsidized, tax write offs and ESG money. so they probably dont need millions to break even. The numbers still look terrible for them though.
and EA does so much advertising, this must be 100 Million on top
The smart ones that got fooled into buying the Dragon Age abomination, probably managed to get a refund already lol
Hope all the angry refunders direct their anger at the outlets who lied to them.
Dragon gayge going down faster where are that modern audience I thought they were millions, lol.
The modern audience are defending this dog water on Twitter/X, instead of playing it. Typical modern audience priorities.
All seriousness, Dragon Age is/was one of my favorite videogame series of all time. I hate that this game is trash and one of my favorite developers is absolutely going to tank.
but for your reassurance, nobody from the old good developers is there anymore...
Star wars outlaws had a peak of 116k
What? I didn't expect it to reach even 50k players. Excuse me gotta pull a Barve.
I can't even with modern day nonsense in video games. Not my monkeys, not my circus.
Well they made their game for the 0.001% of people and that is the number of audience that they deserve.
The gaming industry is becoming an industry for they and them not and industry for you and me.
I loved playing Dragon-Age! The new release, DragQueen-Age...not so much.
it will probably fade away just as fast as the star wars game
Best example I can find to predict Vileguard weekend numbers is Starfield, which peaked 20% higher over the weekend than at launch.
70K on launch is soft for a modern AAA game so it's not looking good for Bioware either way.
Player Numbers aside, the amount of levers bioware had to pull to get even that is crazy. Took a full Media Parade, social media filtering of the clips, a well known Franchise and a week with no real competition to reach get there. If every new woke game has to do that i take it as a win
Most women's are taller then the men, except the dwarf
If it truly was a return to DAO form we would see the game topping these charts towering over the others. It would be over a million easy!
Its back up to where it was, 68k. I hate it as much as the next guy but the numbers only dropped cause people went to sleep. The budget for this was OVER 250 MILLION DOLLARS so its not making its money back even with sales like this. This is a flop.
who have purchased this woke game can refund within 2 hours
They kind of did drop when you think of it, that it was released in the middle of the week. And now is weekend and the numbers are still down -2k at least.
That means a lot of ppl already dropped the game because usually player numbers get crazy during the first weekend after release.
Steam, PC Xbox Game Pass and both consoles. Unfortunately that a lot more than there should be. Theyll take these numbers.
Yeah it will probably peak in the weekend, but the numbers are far from great, just compare to any other big launch like Elden Ring and BG3. 70k is a fraction of their numbers
you don't make an aaa game for 10 years for just 250 mil.
The positive reviews doesn't match up the players data. 1 week later, we'll see who got it right: turd activists or consumers non buy-nary?
Monster Hunter Wilds is laughing all the way to the bank, while Dragon Age: The Veilguard is crying all the way to the streets.
Steam deleted my review just saying. Yes I was harsh, yes I refunded but no I was not allowed MY honest opinion.
Remember when Alex Jones said they were putting chemicals in the water and it’s turning the frogs gay?

atrazine. (not just atrazine btw, look up endocrine disruptors).
Absolutely correct, the numbers this game got, considering its Dragon Age were shocking, it didnt even make it to 100k concurrent...
A monkey with a staff destroyed this game
Makes it easier to watch a once-beloved franchise burn.
how did they not have that whiney complaning asshole anders in it?
he was made for this shit
You didn't like Morrigan and Varrick?
@@TheSeth256 I liked them, but they weren't my favorites.
Cassandra and Vivienne were the only reasons I finished Inquisition. I'm passing on this one.
This could only give us the chance to have not another loved franchise ruined by idiots.
dragon age groomerguard , the predator edition
I don't give a flying bleep about Dragon Age, but this development makes me really scared for the next Mass Effect.😢
The Gamers have spoken!
To be fair: yesterday 70k peak, today 77k peak. Thats not "dropping fast".
The name alone got 70,000 people to buy and play without ever knowing anything about the game
Monster Hunter Wilds beta test is up there are 240,000 and that's not even the real release yet. 66k on day two is laughable by AAA standards.
Monster Hunter Wild Beta 300k
Dragon Age $70 game barely 70k at all time

I think the numbers will be higher over the weekend. But not over 150,000 at the most.

The Veil has been successfully guarded. No one wants to lift it, break it, peek behind it, or even approach it. Let it remain veiled.
(Good) Dragon Age ended when the Warden followed Morrigan through the Eluvian to be with his son. Everything after that was a mistake that ultimately went nowhere because "the message" is apparently more important than existential threats.
I agree 100% with you, Dragon Age ended with Origins. Everything else that came after never happened.
@amadeusagripino6862 What about DA 2 and DA Inquisition, those had decent reception
As a former dragon age fan, this is worse than what borderlands did to their franchise.
Bi Bi Bioware - Buyers are aware :)
Make no mistake, the main reason it even has any viewers is morbid curiosity and wanting to see how people walk on the DEI egg shells... it's not on the merits of an awesome cast, awesome story and awesome gameplay.
Fabulous Melonie Mac
Sorry but I just checked on Steam Charts and game peaked again and it's on the rise. It's nowhere near Cyberpunk 2077 or Baldur's Gate 3 level but still it peaked on the weekend again. And this coming from a guy who saw reviews and gameplay and don't like the game nor I wish to play it. But this video is simply wrong. You just looked like 1 day and Halloween and you draw wrong conclusion.
I haven’t seen a user base drop this quickly since I looked at the trans community..
First they go up against Monster Hunter Beta and soon enough AC Shadows will go up against it early next year. How they think its going to end. No way AC or DA can stand against MH. Maybe years ago it could, but not now.
