This show rarely fails to entertain me, and I'm glad it's still running.
"I just feel sorry for the village that's getting its idiot back." 😂
Have I got news for you is just as important to our democracy as question time.
Love this programme and adore Ian Hislop ❤
He hasn't been funny for 15 years, he's just establishment orthodoxy now, about as controversial as dermot o'leary.
@@ciaranblake3398 got a lot spare time do you now, Nigel
@@ciaranblake3398 Yip...personality of a cardboard box.
Wow those Covid/Skype episodes really show the benefit of a live audience
"Labour could call themselves Bucks Fizz... 'Champagne Socialists, slightly diluted with orange juice' is such a great sharp witted joke from David Mitchell that deserved more!
"People can change their minds." - He says to Liz Truss. Funny in a different way.
Anybody notice Peter Bone, disgraced MP, for flashing, was on the panel when Armando made his genital concealment joke? Surprised he laughed.
I wish it was broadcast in Australia
I feel like the ABC got a series once but dropped it pretty quickly again - local audience would struggle with a lot of the international news.
While we're at it I wish old school GNW was still around
I was under the impression that Australians usually liked British shows, so I'm surprised this isn't broadcast there.
@RandomShinigami7 we do, but political satire specifically based mostly on UK happenings maybe not so much.
Exception being the Last Leg but of course we know and love Adam Hills.
UA-cam is your friend here.
As an American I think this is a great political comedy show that the establishment should be afraid of.
the system i Germany is here bottles are rented. price added t,o the Drink. all drinks as well.
you go shopping and the first thing you do is get your money back by returning the bottles .
We used to do that, in the 80s
@@TheKillingJoker1980 Are you high?
@@78625amginEHaving deposits on returnable bottles certainly used to be a thing in the UK, especially for beer bottles - but I think the system had more or less fallen out of use a few decades earlier than the 1980s. The main problem was widespread cheating: I can remember my dad telling me that people would abuse it by sneaking round the back of the shop or off-licence, grabbing empty returnable bottles out of crates (these were bottles which had already been returned), then taking them to a different shop to "get the deposit back" again. Understandably, it didn't take all that many people doing this before shops selling beer or other drinks in returnable bottles started making a loss, and when this happened, they simply stopped selling any drinks which came in returnable bottles, because it was no longer worth doing.
@@78625amginE We did
Boris Johnson - too blonde for the Third Reich - Sean Lock . . .
Ian Hislop; Andy Hamilton Graham Linehan; Henning Wein; some of the best political satirists of our age
I'd love to see that resignations graph with Boris on it
What happened at the end? It just cut off.
It just "F'd off"
Haha! Right? @@pwuk
probably something to prevent the algorithm removing it as BBC is copyright holder and they've not programmed it yet to understand fair use
I think it's licenced, cutting it off wouldn't stop it being caught when the rest of the video is ok. It's just really poor editing (like a lot of stuff on this channel).
Peter Bones appearance did'nt age well did it.
Are those kind of chins catchy on this programme?
Ian hislop, either a closet gay or closet Tory. You decide
I love being a fan of this programme. Only a niche audience watches HIGNFY.
😂 You don’t get 65 seasons on BBC primetime by being “niche”
Niche? It's a panel show about the news? Get a grip
Who actually watches or reads the news in full form still nowadays?
Oh sorry! I liked this comment because I thought it was a joke.
A niche series with millions of viewers and 34 years in the running. Mock the wwek is more niche!
7:10 Who is the girl with the long red/ginger hair...?
8:34 I recognise her
16:20 Well, hello there beautiful. What's your name...?
22:51 Always thought she was beautiful, and VERY funny.
24:34 I don't know her name, but she annoys me sometimes.
Roisin Conaty, Katherine Ryan, Cariad Lloyd...so many beautiful comediennes...
Simp
Jo Brand, as funny as a dose of piles.
Not really
I used to watch this program when I had a tv licence. I can't believe how totally bias it got.
Should be called "just unfunny jokes about the conservatives for you"
Well when Labour are in gov and messing it up the jokes will be at there expense
Wait , you don't find the Tories funny. 😂
Tell the Tories to stop giving them material, then.
Aw you poor wee man, like have you zero self awareness? Your comment genuinely made me laugh out loud
So under the Tories,,,you cant afford a tv licence? Tell me its a principle thing PLEASE? Tories with principles? Who knew.
HIGNFY was great, and ot still is occasionally, but the one thing that has always irked me is the way they treat a few key topics, immigration being one.
Now, whether its good or had is irrelevant, but it worries a hell of a lot of people. And when very privileged media personalities, whose neighbourhood's havent turned majority non-British in a few decades, who don't have to worry about their job being taken by someone happier to work for minimum wage, when those sorts are seen to mock that worry entirely, they dont even for a chance think about it, it pisses a lot of people off
What do you mean non-british? Are you living in an area filled with non-citizens?
@@seanhubbard6033 No matter your passport, if you spend 23 of every 24 hours speaking Urdu, you ain't British.
Too bias
How long have you been such a pathetic victim, gammon?
Against who exactly? The govermment?
They shit on all politicians, they shit on every government it just so happens we've had the Tories for such a long time it seems they're biased against them. When it's Labour it'll be exactly the same. Same as private eye.. it's just political satire
Yeah always after the politicians
The tories have been in power for 14 years and they continually give them material. Its not bias
hislop really needs to go
Why exactly?
He literally makes the show, you'd keep Merton over him?! Blimey.
On holiday?
Is that you, Boris?
… to collect a lifetime achievement award and come straight back again.
