- Musiq Soulchild wrote this version first but his label would not allow him to record it because they felt that a gospel song would compromise him as an R&B artist so he gave it to Trinity 5 7 and recorded another version titled "Love". I love both versions and i hope you enjoy it
I like this version. I felt it was Gospel all along. Still love both version.
Mr. Jones, when I heard Musiq sing this, I thought he HAD to be singing about the Lord. I'm so sorry his label wouldn't allow this because there are many R&B artists that sing a gospel song on their albums. This version is nice but I love the original most

It Is Believed That Musiq Soulchild Actually Wanted To Make It This Way. But It Collided With His R&B Contract Thus He Made "Love" And Passed It On To Trinitee To Do It The Right Way. Both Were Hits.
Either way works for me God is Love! Therefore we know who Musiq was talking about 😍
