First of all its important to clarify what you mean with fascism and patriotism. Fascism isnt just when violence is comitted. I think Umberto Eco nicely described the core aspects of fascism in his essay Ur-fascism: 1. Cult of Tradition: Traditionalism is central, and truth has already been revealed by tradition. No room exists for new knowledge or innovation. 2. Rejection of Modernism: Fascism rejects the modern world, seen as the degeneration of tradition. Rationality and progress are suspect. 3. Cult of Action for Action’s Sake: Action is glorified for its own sake and must be pursued without intellectual contemplation. 4. Disagreement is Treason: Criticism and dissent are seen as betrayal. Unity is enforced through suppression of dissent. 5. Fear of Difference: Fascism is racist by nature, capitalizing on the fear of the other and often scapegoating minority groups. 6. Appeal to a Frustrated Middle Class: Fascism appeals to the middle class frustrated by economic crises or perceived threats to social status. 7. Obsession with a Plot: Fascism promotes the idea of a conspiratorial enemy, often depicted in grand conspiracies. 8. Enemies are Both Strong and Weak: The enemy is portrayed as simultaneously overwhelmingly powerful and contemptibly weak. 9. Pacifism is Trafficking with the Enemy: Life is seen as a permanent struggle, and pacifism is considered collaboration with the enemy. 10. Contempt for the Weak: Elitism is strong, and weakness is despised, with the weak viewed as undeserving of sympathy. 11. Everybody is Educated to Become a Hero: Heroism is normalized and everyone is expected to be ready to become a hero at any moment. 12. Machismo and Weaponry: Fascism glorifies a culture of machismo and often intertwines with the glorification of weapons. 13. Selective Populism: The people are a monolithic entity represented by a leader who interprets the collective will. 14. Ur-Fascism Speaks Newspeak: Simplified language is used to limit complex and critical reasoning, ensuring control over thought. These points are rather abstract so lets exemplify them. You might habe fascistic believes if you think that a secretive elite is trying to undermine our traditional values to push degeneracy and weaken the family and the state and that our society would be better off with a strong leader overcoming the constant squabbeling of daily politics and bringing our country back to a past where we were strong and dominated. So if that applies to you then i will gladly call you a fascist. And I must say i get a little suspicious when you say „we all know the groups that have taken the mick out of us“, who is „they“? Fascists love talking about (((them))) which often is some sort of elusive gloablist or jewish organisation or class. Speak clearly otherwise I am inclined to assume the worst
@@noahfrei3078 And that is indeed where the line should be drawn but when it comes to self defence it’s a different story, during the London March there was no violence just discussions between different cultures on where they stand on their experience with living in Britain and sharing their troubles with all people from different backgrounds that’s what this country is all about free men and women with the right to offend in the search for truth, and unfortunately sooner or later free speech will be threatened which will just lead to more trouble along the way
And by who I mean they I mean the Islamist extremism that’s been going on in our country for a while now, arson, assaults, murder and acts of terrorism are committed in large due to these groups within our country, I hope that clears that up

And that is indeed where the line should be drawn but when it comes to self defence it’s a different story, during the London March there was no violence just discussions between different cultures on where they stand on their experience with living in Britain and sharing their troubles with all people from different backgrounds that’s what this country is all about free men and women with the right to offend in the search for truth, and unfortunately sooner or later free speech will be threatened which will just lead to more trouble along the way
And by who I mean they I mean the Islamist extremism that’s been going on in our country for a while now, arson, assaults, murder and acts of terrorism are committed in large due to these groups within our country, I hope that clears that up
@@Wolfsong27FlyHalfFullHeart You list those actions - all the actions England took in many countries during its colonialism of other countries, that included the genocidal ethnic cleansing of indigenous people to clear colonies for white English people to take over.
I'm not gonna read your reply. You look like you have the need for the last word anyway, though.

And you sound like you only see race by referring to my skin tone….disappointing
A white English dude moaning about being oppressed while ignoring England's hideous colonialist past and wondering why people - including people in the UK - don't like the Union Jack.
The Union Jack...The flag that symbolises the colonialisation of other countries that England melded into the 'United Kingdom' after killing the culture and languages of Welsh and Scottish people...
I guess you gotta ignore what the flag always represented in order to be 'patriotic'.
I honestly will not be back to read replies.

Because as I stated in the video which you clearly didn’t watch, I say every country has done bad in the past including England…don’t be so ignorant, England was the first to abolish slavery, we’ve done a lot of good in the world but ofcourse people just wanna focus on the bad, people forget that Spain and France were also colonists but for some reason people only focus on English people…also don’t bring my race into this because trying to race bait me only paints yourself in a bad light, and by the way if the Union Jack represents such tragedy then why do most countries still have it on their flag if it’s that atrocious? Even Hawaii an American state has it on their state flag, you need to do better and let go of your contempt of a nation that did bad things 200 years in the past, we’re not that nation anymore we represent all nations who stand for peace and freedom, every man and woman who walks our soil breaths our air are free. And the Welsh language is still alive and well.
The Welsh still have their language mostly in the North Wales. In Scotland some speak Gaelic. Britain at one stage spoke Gaelic but it was lost due to being invaded, that's why so many English words are the same as French words.

It’s such a shame that the past actions of us has caused such loss and heartache but this shows the determination and heart the Welsh and Scottish have, they certainly earned my respect, I absolutely love wales, I used to visit claric bay for my annual holidays ever since I was young, such gorgeous countryside’s with wonderful people to talk with as well.
