the entire fault lies in the disbalanced pvp that started with ds3 ... having invasions always be 2v1 or 3v1 mindbrakes the invaders and spawns the stupid type of weaponswapping pvp that looks stupid as fuck. what FROM should have done for the DLC was PvP covenants + making it possible for more then just 4 people to be in a world. Is Elden Ring the end of souls pvp? I feel like this is the first From soft game where pvpers really gave up on the game, and i don't see a bright future for pvp in the next titles...
I watch the trailer and notice a pattern. All this over the top 💩 of the characters is just more cutscene-L2‘s and dramatically posing in front of a sky box. It’s like these people don’t even realize that they like the idea of those games and not the games themselves. Fromsoft has lost their sauce, period.
People treating this game as if it's a legitimate fighting game will always get disappointed. Souls multiplayer has always been a goof fest, and that's just part of what makes it unique. People saying older games were better sound exactly like the ones who used to say DS2 was better when it was cool to dunk on DS3. None of them were good. It's just which one was less of a random shit show than the other. Realize that, accept it, make peace with it, and there's a chance you'll have fun. Otherwise, find an actual balanced PvP experience for the sake of your sanity.
Exactly. It's clear that PvP has never been the game's primary development focus, and people expecting it to be anything other than a side hustle will forever be dejected. The reality is that the vast majority of players only engage with PvP now and then. Most people replay the games for PvE. Speedruns, challenge runs, trying different builds, that's the bulk of the game's appeal. Hell it's been 10 years and they still can't make satisfactory netcode to bring the PvP to the competitive standards that would make the game adequate.
Souls games PvP has always been a joke and will always be relegated to a side mode for a reason. Not the least of which because FROMSoft still can't even figure out netcode. Hell, the guys who did Seamless Co-op managed to optimize the netcode better.
Right? Why's this cuck griping sooo much? Something just pathetic and sad about a gamer who's constantly upset with the game but keeps playing it lol like what's wrong with this idiot? Leave if you're so butt hurt lolz. Heard this bro has like 100 vids of him nit picking every lil thing. Take it easy my dooder shyeesh! Broz gunna give himself a dutch oven lol
My two cents on weapon balancing: Tske away the AOW system, as fun as it is, and go back to weapon skills that come with the armament. Limits on what players can pair with weapons forces them to get used to weapon movesets and hopefully limits more imbalanced weapon/weapon skill combinations.
Ngl the pvp at the very start, with banning a billion aow and weapons, and if you stuck to the most basic weapons, honestly felt the best. Other than that, elden ring never once had good pvp because of how bad the netcode was, and they really wanted to focus on making fun weapons without caring about the multiplayer once. Elden ring really was the least focused on pvp and the multiplayer experience out of every souls games is what i personally believe. Even demon's souls felt better in a lot of ways. Though, i dont really mind. I think people just expect too much from fromsoftware. They've always sucked ass as multiplayer experiences, or at least miyazaki sucks at miltiplayer experiences. They make amazing single player experiences and i think its unfair to want them continuosly work on elden ring past its release (except for optimisation), when they dont have any monetisation like battle pass or microtransaction (aside from the dlc). People will never remember elden ring for its pvp and multiplayer, and that's fine
I dunno did they do anything in that last invasion they couldn't have pre dlc? Maybe after sapping the last lil bits of enjoyment it's just finally hitting you how trash it always was...
Miyazaki was listening to you bitching and said oh yea “crash!” Hahahaha. 😂 Not against with what you are saying btw just pictured Miyazaki watching your stream and crashing your game after you were talking about the way he killed Sword & board
You're just upset they patched chainsaw and now you can't one shot people you can't beat otherwise. All because your ego is so big you can't sever out like a normal person
a simple cure to this game would be to remove or hard nerf wizzardry... at least the projectiles coz it's very low risk and high reward coz you can spam a shitload of everything and do massive damage... Meanwhile honest skill builds stand no chance against a 3v1 gank with spammers at least on high level PVP... mostly just fogwalls or traps in caves with 3 sad virgins with no skill to play the game... and we all know what kind of people gank... it's not a secret... sad pathetic npc's who cry themselves to sleep instead of fixing their skill issue...
Undoubtedly, the game got much worse balance wise when the DLC dropped and afterwards. All I did was finish the "story", then uninstalled and deleted it from PS5. Glad they didn't have trophies for the DLC either like past games, complete joke.
The game is not about pvp, why these guys keep wasting their time overanalyzing a game made for a wider public, for a single player experience? Do you want high competitive balanced experience? Play another game. Fromsoftware games wont give you that. They never did, the community is never satisfied, the changes they made are based on half people that wont stop biching about. When they get what they want, the other half is unhappy. The classic example is poise. It is never a consensus between players
Everyone knows something like Halo 3 was the ultimate video game competition to determine skill. Your health bars are not even the same in the competitions in souls games haha. Doesn't even have a leader board for detailed stats or anything it's a joke.
At this point they should remove invasions entirely from the next Souls games. I have no strong feelings on it, but it would be so fucking funny to see the tears.
Tell me please what requires more skill: swapping armors mid-fight or spamming an auto-tracking spell? Don't get me wrong, I don't like fighting tryhards myself because I'm not good enough, but saying that opinion of one of the best players in the world with more than 10 years experience in souls pvp is worthless? That's ignorance and ego-talk on your part.
Chainsaw bug was hard to execute too, but it was cancer. Degree of difficulty is not a good way to measure at least for me. The quality of the pvp can't be determined by meta. Pvp is about versatility, equality and fun. Person who uses dual great spear all his life can't know anything about equality and versatility. Person who hardswappes all his life can't know anything about fun.
This is the first video from you that's been recommended to me, and I just gotta say the difference in tone between Chase and every other souls PVPer is insane, the constant negativity makes you all unwatchable
There's a reason Chase gets the views he does, and channels like this stay obscure. Most people don't want to listen to some miserable guy ego maxing off a side objective that even the devs themselves care little about.
i don't normally comment since trying to have a discussion on the internet that isn't chalk full of bad faith garbage is an exercise in futility but i'm gonna post anyway this video is not for you. i think the viewers of these kinds of "negative" videos are people who have wanted ER pvp to ACTUALLY be good, but having had to deal with the unending incompetence of the devs regarding balance, the excruciatingly slow pacing of the updates, the lack of transparency or communication between the devs and the players, and on top of that the smug, dismissive attitude most ER casuals have towards anyone with an even remotely negative opinion about ER all piles up into an intense resentment. i personally like these types of ranty videos as i find a catharsis in knowing that steel - and more or less every other ER pvper - has had similar experiences with elden mid's pvp. on top of that he has the know-how and skill to actually criticize the game in an informed manner. you blindly label it as "muh constant negativity" but i see nothing but an accurate assessment of the absolute state of ER pvp you can go back to watching chasethebob. i personally find his "nice guy" demeanor to be extremely grating and disingenuous. moreover he intentionally glosses over the worst aspects of elden ring's pvp for the purpose of making his content more palatable for his casual audience. it's boring and sanitized for sensitive snowflakes like you who unabashedly cannot make the distinction between reasonable informed criticism and utterly toxic savagery
UA-camrs crying again. I just play Seamless Co-op, I love ER PVP. The base game could use improvements. But the problem with PVP is people need to git gud. Everything is beatable besides outright cheaters and glitch abusers and if I encounter that I just block them and move on. The DLC improved PVP in my opinion because more stuff to play with and more people who suck thinking they can get carried by broken weapons. If you're good enough anything can be defeated easily with almost any build path.
Seamless changed my outlook on the game entirely and made me imagine a timeline where they didn't have PvP at all and instead just made comfy adventure games you could play with your friends. It's honestly pretty insane how well the netcode works on Seamless compared to the unmodded game, too.
L take, I love PvP but they shouldnt design areas around PvP cus its not the main thing of the game. Instead change how multiplayer fundamentally works cus its ass rn, make it like seamless co op.

@@Aranexorsist It doesn't shield it from criticism, but if you want Dark Souls go play Dark Souls. Elden Ring is it's own thing for better or worse.
Elden ring is from software's vision. For their past games as well. Sorry you don't like magic spells, maybe the fantasy genre isn't for you
That last invasion had another gamer thats a pro at emotes, lol. This is becoming very common
Great Katanas are such a stupid weapon, basically gags but with better frame data and the running attack is busted.
the entire fault lies in the disbalanced pvp that started with ds3 ... having invasions always be 2v1 or 3v1 mindbrakes the invaders and spawns the stupid type of weaponswapping pvp that looks stupid as fuck. what FROM should have done for the DLC was PvP covenants + making it possible for more then just 4 people to be in a world. If we had like 10 like back in DS3 that would be the fix thats needed, not whatever peasant balance changes steely is raging over while getting his ass pounded.
Is Elden Ring the end of souls pvp?
I feel like this is the first From soft game where pvpers really gave up on the game, and i don't see a bright future for pvp in the next titles...
Same reason the 'new' elden ring game will suck...
Find different ways to press L2, fight boss with new L2.
Rinse and repeat
Hey now I only use L2 like 80% of the time! Not always!
You can always sleep with Chase to improve your UA-cam Chanel.
Best copypasta
They had one day of good pvp with patch 1.11. Then the DLC came out lol
bro has over 100 videos on how Elden ring sucks
And you got 10 comments defending the game on his videos.. what's worse
@@Blittsplitt5 i actually dont dickhead 🤣

Next time I'd like to see Carian Retaliation send one (1) tracking projectile back immediately that THEY have to roll to dodge.

7:50 holy shit someone actually using bloodboon
Yes! ❤
It's like the game had prepared all you needed to prove your point...
I was so content with the balance of PvP in the patch right before the dlc patch. Then they messed it all up. Thanks Micheal teriyaki.
ER pvp has become such a bad joke, it makes me sad
It started out that way tbh
Souls games PvP has always been a joke and will always be relegated to a side mode for a reason. Not the least of which because FROMSoft still can't even figure out netcode. Hell, the guys who did Seamless Co-op managed to optimize the netcode better.
Perfect game no flaws
My two cents on weapon balancing:
Tske away the AOW system, as fun as it is, and go back to weapon skills that come with the armament. Limits on what players can pair with weapons forces them to get used to weapon movesets and hopefully limits more imbalanced weapon/weapon skill combinations.
Even being able to no hit some bosses i was still shit at pvp when I did play idk if it was just me though
12:44 there i am!
Yeah I rarely touch pvp nowadays
another video to watch at bed
Rush is so disappointing, can’t even invade in this area
Cool that multi stream is back
It was just a rhetorical question bro, I'm sorry
ER PVP SUCKS

At least he kept the tongue on
99% of the time it's just that the host forgot to turn it off lol
i don’t understand why everyone is hating on the pvp, it’s really good imo, the invasions are trash but the pvp is good
What you say is true but you just ran for 30 minutes attacking with the tracking bow and hitting players up close with bhs and thrusting sword?!
Nerf ash of wars/spells/incant damage ❤
Ps at 10 min is exactly why I hate pvp

says the guy using shamshir lmao, talking about skill, broken frame canceling weapon yea
If he used a piece of shit weapon, would his point be stronger?? These stupid low IQ comments are insane.
Unpopular opinion, the dlc sucked

Meta level pvp in elden ring has been dogshit from day 1. Low level pvp is still pretty good though, would highly recommend SL60
PVP is broken cuz RIP chainsaw😢
Just play something good like ds2
You're just upset they patched chainsaw and now you can't one shot people you can't beat otherwise. All because your ego is so big you can't sever out like a normal person
Even though he wins invasions without chainsaw.. another low IQ comment from the idiot varsa😂😂😂
a simple cure to this game would be to remove or hard nerf wizzardry... at least the projectiles coz it's very low risk and high reward coz you can spam a shitload of everything and do massive damage...
The PVP has always been bad.

@@soyborne.bornmadeandundone1342 well he makes money off this shit bro lol
Undoubtedly, the game got much worse balance wise when the DLC dropped and afterwards. All I did was finish the "story", then uninstalled and deleted it from PS5. Glad they didn't have trophies for the DLC either like past games, complete joke.
Day 43 of asking you to 1v1 me
The game is not about pvp, why these guys keep wasting their time overanalyzing a game made for a wider public, for a single player experience?
Rip psk
tbh skill issue
(I've been banned for half a year)
🙏
I'm sorry but opinion from a guy in full healing set with healing shield that uses only meta is worthless. You make pvp worse my dude

Let’s see…
Was it the bad red man who killed you?
Or can Micheal Zaki do no wrong?
There's a reason Chase gets the views he does, and channels like this stay obscure. Most people don't want to listen to some miserable guy ego maxing off a side objective that even the devs themselves care little about.
i don't normally comment since trying to have a discussion on the internet that isn't chalk full of bad faith garbage is an exercise in futility but i'm gonna post anyway
this video is not for you. i think the viewers of these kinds of "negative" videos are people who have wanted ER pvp to ACTUALLY be good, but having had to deal with the unending incompetence of the devs regarding balance, the excruciatingly slow pacing of the updates, the lack of transparency or communication between the devs and the players, and on top of that the smug, dismissive attitude most ER casuals have towards anyone with an even remotely negative opinion about ER all piles up into an intense resentment. i personally like these types of ranty videos as i find a catharsis in knowing that steel - and more or less every other ER pvper - has had similar experiences with elden mid's pvp. on top of that he has the know-how and skill to actually criticize the game in an informed manner. you blindly label it as "muh constant negativity" but i see nothing but an accurate assessment of the absolute state of ER pvp
you can go back to watching chasethebob. i personally find his "nice guy" demeanor to be extremely grating and disingenuous. moreover he intentionally glosses over the worst aspects of elden ring's pvp for the purpose of making his content more palatable for his casual audience. it's boring and sanitized for sensitive snowflakes like you who unabashedly cannot make the distinction between reasonable informed criticism and utterly toxic savagery
The bias is insane. I finally understand why chase keeps acting like an idiot in his videos. The people love it
@@WayfaringKnight1337 I already acknowledged that I'm not his usual audience, and I'll happily go back to watching the more entertaining product
Elden Elden Elden sucks
Dark Souls 2 had the best PvP.
B team at work
Again.
Hot take: the game didn't need any of the DLC weapons and spells, it was already too bloated.
So you don't want the dlc?
@@SomeGuy-qd3li That's not what I said.
Change my mind : The game is bad because of quickswap
Another Cryinglovsky video😂
First
Lame
yep
I love my comments being deleted
L take, I love PvP but they shouldnt design areas around PvP cus its not the main thing of the game. Instead change how multiplayer fundamentally works cus its ass rn, make it like seamless co op.
Its not like the most beloved areas in the series were heavily geared towards pvp...
The best pve areas sure as hell ain't the er empty plains. There is good room for some overlap.
