- In a joint operation, the Navi Mumbai Police and Haryana Police arrested Sukha Kaluya, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, on 16th October 2024 in Panipat, Haryana. Sukha was involved in a dangerous plan to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Sukha was following orders from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been targeting Salman Khan since 1998, after the actor was accused of killing a blackbuck during a movie shoot in Rajasthan. The blackbuck is considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, and ever since, the gang has held a grudge against Salman.
Sukha had even visited Salman’s farmhouse in Panvel and later scouted the area around his Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra area before an attack in April 2024. On 14th April, two shooters fired five rounds near Salman Khan’s residence. Sukha managed to escape at the time, but now he has been caught by the police.

The police have been extra cautious since the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, a close friend of Salman Khan. Siddique was shot dead outside his son’s office, and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the attack. To learn more, watch this video released by ISH News: ish.news/yt-14...
In another case linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, it was revealed that they also had plans to kill comedian Munawar Faruqui. Police found this information while investigating the murder of a gym owner in Delhi. One of the shooters was arrested and confessed to the plan of targeting Munawar, who was staying at a hotel in Delhi. The police quickly alerted Munawar and provided him with security as he left for Mumbai.
This arrest is a major step in tackling the dangerous activities of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been involved in several high-profile cases.
