I'm very happy to hear it. I don't revel in the game making money necessarily, because gacha are gacha, but the gameplay in this particular one is so fun and addictive that I want it to last quite a while. It's a blast stringing together combos, dodging attacks by the skin of your teeth, parrying enemies and using those intro and outro skills effectively. and knowing the nature of live service games like this, I'm excited to see how they'll fine tune the rest of the gameplay, music, story... you name it.
When you think about it.... Wuthering Waves fulfils a niche that has long since been in recession since DMC 5 and Bayonetta 3 ended. A hack and slash action game that isnt a Soulslike.
Every time they bring out surveys for the game I will always add in my feedback ">Skins (Trust me nobody doesn't want skins for this game, if you do that's more money. So please GIVE US SKINS FOR THE GAME)"
Thinking the game would be dead? its genshin without the annoying ass climbing mechanics and paimon. thats like thinking Better Genshin will fail. I'm personally not playing it because any game where you roll for characters AND roll for weapons is too greedy for my tastes. but its an objectively better game than genshin.

Yeah it's a ton of fun. PGR is the same way. Makes you feel like you're having an anime battle

The game is good, the marketing was good, and they got featured a bunch for being in the #1 spot for a ton of markets.
