The higher the jewel level, the better. I only have it at lv8 because I've been gambling the level up instead of waiting for 100% (bad choice). Just use whatever relic you have the jewel on. You should only have one jewel that you're focused on leveling. My relic has triple SD with crit hit multiplier (for the mobs) on it, so any hero can take advantage of the stat (tanks can use LP merch).

8 is the bare minimum for entry. 9 if you wanna contribute. 10 if you wanna carry.
