- Alton Towers may be getting an INDOOR rollercoaster soon, so i thought why not review the most recently opened Intamin Multi-Dimensional coaster, Uncharted at Portaventura! This ride features a multitude of elements, many sections of theming and a really well implemented facade. I talk about my thoughts on the ride and why it's not amazing... it's just decent!

I really liked it! I went in completely blind so the main ‘gimmick’ was a surprise and I was very impressed. And the queue line theming is top notch

I went on it on opening day, could only get one ride since it opened at 12 and my coatch back to the airport was at 1pm lol. they could turn this from a 5/6 out of 10 into a solid 8/9 if they added all the nessisary theming inside, rockwork, robotic annimals and stuff would be cool. that would really finish it off
Love these videos and never been this early before and you also made me invested in Alton towers and I am wanting to go back I have in been once but I was 8 and couldn’t go on any of the roller coasters always wanted to go on nemesis but if I am to go back for my birthday , the last weekend before it closes, It wouldn’t be ready 💔

Went on this coaster 2 days ago. I’m a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to coasters. We had about an hour wait. Although I didn’t really like the spin at the start I think I’d go on it again as it has a lot of elements in there for a scaredy cat to get used to 😂

I just did it today, great fun and very unique but that’s all I can really say about it. Glad I didn’t queue 3h because of the single rider queue 😅
I hate how the game looks better than the cgi in the ride… THE GAME IS EVEN RENDERED IN REAL TIME!!

I went on this recently and i was stuck in that queue for HOURSSSS, one time we went straight through and it took 2 hours next time the ride broke halfway through and we were stuck in the queue for 5 hours and rode after the fireworks show, still a great ride experience tho. 100% agree with the need for more decor whilst on the ride

So come back to the video after having rode this yesterday , you are 100% right for the themeing just needs a bit more like your avoiding traps and things could even be static themeing just to give it a bit more style! The ride it self I thought was super fun and incredibly smooth for what it is I wouldn't be In a rush to queue more than 20 minutes to ride though
I'm there for a week next week. I'll definitely be riding it, but Shammy B will always get the vast majority of my attention. 👍

I really enjoyed it but you’re right about the warehouse with screens being unconvincing. It would be much better with more animatronics instead
I'm so excited to ride this cuz i've been playing the uncharted games since i was young.
this brings me back dejavu of an old ride at Thorpe Park in the mid 1990s (yeah I'm that old!) called X:/no way out, so the que (inside the pyramid) was actually really well themed, sort of sci-fi themed you know. Then you jumped on the train, and the roller coaster its self was very lacklustre, with the only redeeming feature being it was in pitch black AND backwards, they marketed as 'blackwards' lol
This rollercoaster being talked about here sounds like the same thing all over again lol.
The actual coaster layout showcases the multi-dimension function really well. I really enjoyed the layout. The queue was nice and interactive! I really liked it all in all. However, I think the show building being darker would improve things, and the theming in the show building could use some improvement but I think overall it’s very impressive considering the low budget!

Heading to 2 days at Port Aventura/Ferrari land in 8 days (can't wait its been 5 years since last visit) looking forward to this one
I’ve been on it I went to Spain two weeks ago
I rode it yesterday, and it was interesting 🤔the technology is really cool, but theming on ride man 😐 and I thought it was short for some reason, but I will give it 7/10 🙂

Reminds me a LOT of Mission Ferrari in Abu Dhabi. Very similar elements and even a similar story (although the theming on the Ferrari World one is significantly better!)

Looks like a god ride but if your going to have such a great queue and not a great ride, well let’s just hope Alton towers theme project horizon thoroughly!!

Possibly rushed to get it open this year? The customer feedback may force their hand to finish off the theming anyways.

Im of the opinion that the actual ride itself should of had the theming because the outside looks cool the ques looks cool but the inside has like 2 sets and a couple of screens
I totaly agree with what you said. The theming is so so disapointing, there is nothing, we NEVER believe that we are in a cave. The storyline is confusing, the scenery is poor, I put 2/5 at this coaster. Thank Intamin for the technology, and the last drop, that's all it has.

i thought it was a really good ride, in my opinion, indoor rides are more about the hurtleing round in the dark with the occasainal themeing peice here and there. In my opinion, it would be a solid 8 for me.
And you also missed, when you go up the spike, there are some stalagmites hanging over you that you think you will hit, and then...
...ROLLBACK!!!!!

Yeah, the general consensus is basically the coaster is great but it’s ruined by the terrible theming
