Who know the government will reduce car tax at the same time because you can no longer make the excuse car tax is high because of petrol subsidy. But I guess the knife only cuts on one side

And it made sense to me. If you tell me the tax is to protect local made cars in a way that doesn't make sense to me. Why are proton cars not cheaper? Specially now with the coming of the eMAS which the Chinese equivalent is roughly 30% cheaper in China plus it has more tech than the eMAS. Why is the extra tax on foreign cars not being used for what it is meant for to make local produce cheaper? Since in 2008 when I came to Malaysia I bought 2x a new proton they where not that bad to me as some people like to mention BUT compared to foreign car price in let's say EU the proton in Malaysian market is way over priced and always has been overpriced. Let's call proton the people's car which is volkswagen in germany but a volkswagen for German people gives you better price vallue than proton in Malaysia and now you tell me the high tax on foreign cars is to protect local produced that makes no sense to me since local produced cars are not being made cheaper from that tax and like said before just look at the eMAS in China it is roughly 30% cheaper with better / more tech. Coming back to German cars where the tax is much higher where labour is much higher where production cost is much higher and still a volkswagen Opel or Ford price is compareble to proton price in Malaysia Than there must be something very wrong with almost 40 years of Malaysian production isn't it? in terms of design, the front facia is totally wasted on that rear. The car looks really good from the front and by the time you reach the rear end, it falls flat. Yes design is subjective, but i think a honda citys rear looks much better compared to this.
Design wise, the only good thing about Honda City is the rear design. All others fall short against this, S70 and even Vios. Overall, this car looks way better than City.

Good looks let down with a terrible engine and gearbox. Unrefined and totallly no power at all. Already test driven this car. Interior uses same plastics as a saga. Steering is taken from Volkswagen but the fake leather used is terrible.After test drive this, went to test Honda City which was a dream to drive. Straight booked city
Very good skin/cosmetics but unfortunately shiitty drive train, bad fuel consumption and very big question mark in safety! Very China Chinese, beautiful/rich on the outside, sub standard at the inside.
