We ended up doing a Glen Scotia night -- 15 / 18 / 25 / double cask / Victoriana and I believe out of the 6 people... 5 out of 6 picked this 18 over everything else... I absolutely love this dram and think its one of the best. I wish Glen Scotia got a bit more recognition, living in the shadows of Spingbank, Longrow, Kilkerran... One of the best bang for your buck though! Love this 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glen scotia 15 is one of my favorite whiskys, I love its gummy bear finish super extended by the spiciness. I’ve also got the 18 year old glen scotia but haven’t opened yet since I am taking a month off from whisky :(
Great review as always Alan, it’s a good quality decent value for money release. Great to see Glen Scotia get more recognition in recent years, can’t be easy living in the shadow of Springbank. The GS 18 would be terrific at cask strength and talking about cask strength, for many years the SMWS Glen Scotia’s were some of the best whiskies I’ve tasted.

I really like this one and for anyone not able to get their hands on the Kilkerran 16 it's a good alternative at a fair 18 year price.
I enjoyed your sample while watching this review. Wow, what a fantastic dram! This is will be a must-buy bottle if I can ever find one around here. Of course anything from Glen Scotia is a must-buy but this was definitely a 90 in my book.

Have you had it? The other I’m looking at is the Glen scotia 18.

My bottle is a dud. Caramel aspartame with a very bitter finish. Worst whisky I've ever bought. Its down past the shoulder and it will stay there for several months before I revisit it. Not holding out much hope though...

@@thewhiskyfriend Just a bad bottle I think. I love the 15 and the Victoriana and recently picked up a bottle of the Cambeltown 1832 NAS, which has gotten better with every pour. Had great hopes for the 18.
