I have been waiting for this sale. I got the 8 power LPVO last time you posted the sale and it is absolutely outstanding. In my mind, the best part, is the reticle. You can truly slap this on an AR and use it as a red dot for home defense or reach out at 10x and hunt deer...which is my plan.

@@ElderBoob Have a 1-8 on a 300 blackout. It's held up very well, I don't have a ton of rounds through it. Maybe 200 rounds max.

I picked one up with your discount. For the price it's great, it does however have a very tight eye box at both 1x or 10x. Very cool reticle. Threw it on my 16" AR10 so we will see how it holds up.

Got one , just didn’t care for the weight and especially the reticle. Sent it back. Just me I’m sure but we all like what we like.
So, i bought this (the 1-10). I would say its definitely worth the money, if using the 50% discount code. It is heavy. It is very stiff. And larger than I thought. But it is decent for the price! ($135).... I just ordered the 1-8 using the same discount code. ($120). With free shipping. Im hoping its a little smaller and lighter. But regardless, if its as decent as the 1-10 ill be ok. My use will only be shooting coyotes and paper punching tho.
I’m considering this for my Windham src .308, and also the sig sauer 1-10x28 LPVO. Besides cost, much difference between the two in your opinion
If an LVPO doesn’t have a daylight bright dot, you’re better with a dedicated adjustable zoom scope like a 2-10 or 3-16 and an offset or piggy back dot. Change my mind.

Does Monstrum make anything that is daylight bright? I bought one of the prism sights and the color totally disappears when you are outside!
You gotta step up into the higher price brackets if you want daylight bright. Consider Primary Arms next time around since they aren’t overly expensive and they have tons of great reviews
The 1-10 Banshee lpvo was visible in the daytime just not as bright as a red dot. The 6 and 8 aren't. I'd guess this 1-10 spectre is visible

The thing with 1-10x LPVO's, no matter who makes them, is the eyebox at 10x is very, very tight, and going from 8x to 10x, there is an obvious decline in light-gathering ability. Asking a scope to have 10x internal magnification from its lowest to highest setting is a tall task, and compounding that problem is you're typically constrained to using a 24-28mm objective lens to accomplish this to [try to] retain a 1x minimum. For normal scopes, there's similar constraints, for instance only a handful of companies make a good 5-50x (10x internal range from 5x) precision scope, albeit using an objective lense with a much larger surface area for light gathering.
I'm not completely disregarding the 1-10x, I've owned a couple and still use one from time to time (Swampfox Arrowhead 1-10x). Of the 1-10's out there, it is not the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive. But for its price, it is probably the best overall value. It doesn't do any one thing perfect (besides holding zero) but it does everything well as a package for the price. But even still, it suffers from the same tight eyebox issues at 10x that they all do. I could be wrong, but I do not see the Monstrum competing as well in terms of clarity or FOV, but at a lower price point it may not have to. And for newer shooters on a budget who do not own, or had the opportunity to look through higher quality optics, they may never realize or notice any real issues with the purchase, so there's that. Biggest compliment I can give the Monstrum is they have become a large company, and that said they are selling the lowest-price 1-10x LPVO from anyone with a recognizable name, and there's always the warranty if things go south, so there's that.
